Chapter 1
"All we need is faith" the little girl cried. "ALL WE NEED IS FAITH" she screams as tears fall from her eyes. "FAITH IS ALL WE NEED" she cries, trying to convince herself that her mother didn't die. She tried to get past the police tape, neighbor but police officers held her back. "NO! LET ME SEE MY MOMMA!" she screams as tears fall. She kicks and screams, but her efforts do her no good. A woman neighbor puts a hand on the girl's shoulder. "Shhh it'll be ok," she says as she rubs the girl's back soothingly. "NO! THAT'S MY MOMMA LAYING THERE! SHE'S JUST SLEEPING." she cries out"No, Angelina, she's not sleeping...she had to leave, she went to a better place hun." the woman said. "W-whats wrong with h-here with m-me I need her....I NEED HER HERE" Angelina cries out.
The girl is brought back to her senses. "Has it really been seven years since that happened?" she mutters to herself. "Angelina!" the teacher snaps. "Since you were day dreaming come do this problem and give a correct fucking answer for once." Angelina sighs and walks to the white board, solves it easily and sits back down. "There, happy?" she snarled angrily, tired of this shit. The teacher nodded, "Yes, that is correct." he said, sarcasm lacing his voice. The bell rings, signaling the end of the day. "Hey, Angelllllll, wanna come to my place?" her so called friend, Ruby, ask. "No, I have to go somewhere, sorry, maybe Friday, sorry" she apologized, trying to sound sincere. Though, she just fucking hated Ruby. "No problem, it's fine." Ruby leaves, Angelina walks out of the school and to the local store. She buys some flowers, Iris', and walks to the local cemetery. She walks to a grave marked "Alison Jones. 1989-2016" she sits in front of it and places the flowers. "It's been a long seven years, I miss you, a lot." she begins, tears form and her throat tightens."who killed you....." she choked out as tears slid down her face. She lay the flowers down "I miss you so much" she cries out, "Why...I hate being alone!!" She stayed like this for quite some time,"I'm going to find the bastard who did this to you" she said after a while. Soon, warmth rushed over her. She looked up, her face now emotionless, "Who are you?" she demanded. man, who seemed to be in his mid-20s looked at her. "Long time no see Angel, recognize me?" he said with a slight smirk. It took a few moments to recognize him. "Oh. You" her gaze darkened. Hate coursing through her veins. He chuckled, "Not gonna even a smile for me" He joked. "No, cause you could have fucking done something to help my mother. But you stood there and watched it happen Jay" she snarled. "Awe oh well" he shrugged. "She worshiped you at that damn church. You were her everything. She prayed to You. She loved you. Yet you watched her get killed as if you didn't care"s he was beyond pissed. "That's because I didn't" He laughed.
She tried to punch at him, but He caught her fist and pinned against one of the trees. "Not now doll face" he taunted. She snarled angrily. "I've got a question for ya" he began. "Do you even know what your father was. Or your mother" he asked with a smirk. "No....why" her suspicions began to grow. "Your father was James. One of the most amusing humans to follow. Funny. He cheated on your mother so many times. Fucking with every girl he met" he laughed. "SHUT THE HELL UP" Angelina yelled. "Then Allison found out. And killed him. They never found any trace of him again. As if he were erased from history. You know why?~" his voice was now calming, though his face was stern and smiling. "Your mother was one of us. An angel. Sworn to God." He finally let go of Angelina, who couldn't form any words. She was shaking silently. "You're....you're lying" she eventually said. "Oh really now. Then why have you never known about your father. Why have you never been allowed IN the church. Hm? Answer that"
She couldn't respond, Jay was right. She just knew it. "You can run while some of us can never run away," he said. didn't you forget about your past" he asked. "Because she once said. 'You can always hide and run beneath your covers. But you will eventually face the truth" she said. Slowly calming down. "You cant hide from anything" she added. He chuckled, he was amused. "So what do you plan, solving this 'murder' case?" he laughed. "Precisely."
