Just stay this little
Emilie P.o.V.
I woke up really early. When I looked at the alarm clock, I realized that it was not even 8am yet, but today was my birthday so I just slided out of my bed. I put on some socks, reference running towards mom's room and jumping on her bed.
"Mommy." I put my hands on her cheeks and sat down on her tummy. "Mommy. Wake up." She opened her eyes and smiled at me. "Good morning baby. Why are you awake so early?" I looked at her as if it was the most ridiculous thing to ask. "It's a special day." I tried and she gave me another smile. "Really what kind of a special day?" "It's my birthday Mommy."
"Really. Silly me. How could I forget?" She sat up wrapping one arm around, using the other arm to help herself sit up. She started peppering kisses all over my face, making me giggle and laugh. "Mommy. Mommy. Please stop." I gasped between my giggle fits.
"Okay, okay. Birthday girl. How about we get you some breakfast?" I nodded excitedly and got up from her. She followed me and took my hand.
"How about we make some breakfast waffles?" She asked, setting me down on the kitchen counter. "Yes please." We started to make the dough and Mommy began to bake waffles. She used the first waffle to create a little waffle cake, by using whipped cream, sprinkles and the four hearts of the waffle. Then she put maple syrup over it and a candle. After she finished baking the waffles she carried the plates towards the table, where she poured us some orange juice.
"Happy birthday, my sweet girl." Mommy gave me a kiss on the head, lit the candle. "Blow it out and wish for something, baby." I smiled at her and closed my eyes while blowing out the candle again. My wish was very simple. I wanted to stay with Mommy forever and never, ever live with someone else again.
I opened my eyes again, looking at Mommy and giving her a big smile. "Kay."
I pulled the candle out of the waffle cake, starting to eat my waffle cake. "This is so good." I told her and she smiled. "I'm glad. After all, you are the birthday girl." I smiled and happily munched on my waffles. Mommy
was sitting opposite to me, also eating her waffles, and smiling at me.
"We're gonna have a party today, what kinda party did you want to have again?" Mommy and I had been shopping for my birthday yesterday, to make decorations and bake things.
"A fairy party. With you, our family, Selena, Karlie, Cara, Gigi and Bella and Ed." Her smile was bigger than before, as she started to clean the table from our breakfast.
"A fairy party. We probably should start making decorations after breakfast then, shouldn't we?" I clapped my hands excitedly, bouncing up and down in my chair.
"I thought we could make tulle-wrapped balloons in different colors." I nodded and watched as she pulled all the things we would need. Big Balloons in different colors of pink and purple and then some tulle in the same colors.
"Okay I'm gonna fill the balloons with air and if you want you can put these flowers on the string, then we can use the string to close the balloons."
Mommy filled the balloons with air and I started to put the flowers on the string. We had about thirty balloons that we wrapped in the tulle, before closing the tulle with the flower string.
"Where do you want to put them?" With Mommys help we put the balloons all over the apartment, making it look really pretty.
"Kay what's next?" She looked around, before her face lit up. She pulled a really big balloon in the form of a five out of a bag, filling it up with air and putting it on the wall behind the table.
"We're gonna put all these butterflies up on the wall and these butterfly girlands we'll hang up so that they hang down from the ceiling." Mommy lifted me up so that we could put up the butterflies together.
"It looks really pretty." I told her, giggling as I put up the last butterfly. "It does look like a fairy garden." She nodded proud with herself.
"Yeah. Do you want to decorate the table?" I nodded and she helped me putting a white tablecloth, a green moss like looking mat in the middle of the table and tons of flowers all over the green mat.
Then we put porcelain dishware, with flowers painted on them and golden border on green braided plate coasters.
"I think the decorations are finished. What do you think Miss Emilie?" I nodded happily, flowing Taylor towards the kitchen.
"So I've got these jelly beans and this pretty glass. We can put them inside." I nodded and started to pour all of the jelly beans inside the really big glass Taylor had given me.
We carried it to one of the tables and Taylor put up a little note saying enchanted beans. It was the second table, with a green table cloth and we had extra flowers to decorate the table afterwards.
"Alright. We finished most of the things we had to do and we have quiet a lot of time before the others come, so do you want to watch a movie?" I nodded. "Yes please." I followed her to the couch and she turned on one a movie for us.
"So after the movie is finished we have like an hour before the others are coming." "Okay." I cuddled myself into her side while watching the movie she had turned into her side. The movie played, with me holding onto Mommy during the scary scenes.
Mommy woke me up as the credit scenes started rolling. "Hey love. The movie is done. We gotta get ready and finish putting the food outside." "Kay Mommy." Her smile got even wider as she picked me up and carried me towards my room.
We had bought a dress especially for this party, so while Mommy got ready, I started putting it on. It had a blue underdress, with a lightpurple tulle over it and a light blue ribbon on the left side.
"Look. It's so pretty." Mommy looked up at me, she was wearing really pretty dress and had her hair in pony tail.
"You look really pretty Mommy." I told her, wrapping my arms around her. "So do you, my little fairy princess." We walked back into the kitchen. I sat down on the chair watching as mommy started to take out the food, we prepared yesterday on the second table.
There was a butterfly pasta, noodle salad basically, wraps, which we named tree slices, forest berries and a lot of other stuff. We decorated the stuff by putting flowers on the table, using wooden panels still with the real tree look.
Mommy also put up two drink dispensers, one filled with water and one filled with pink lemonade, but she put up notes saying that the pink one was pixie punch and the clear one morning dew.
It looked so pretty. "What do you think? Ready for the party?" I jumped up and down, nodding excitedly.
"Yeah I'm so excited." She smiled at me, she held her hand out for me."Deep breath darling. We don't want you to pass out." I giggled as she sat me down on her hip. Then we heard the doorbell ring. "Where is my first and favorite granddaughter?" I heard someone ask, as Mom opened the door.
"Pops." I jumped from the couch she had put me on and ran to the door.
"There she is." He picked me up and twirled me around, while I giggled and wrapped my arms around him.
"Granny." I said as I held out my arms for her. She smiled and took me from her husband.
"If this isn't my favorite little fairy princess." She set me down after I gave her a big hug. I walked over to Uncle Austin. "Uncle Austin." He picked me up and set me on his hip. "You look so pretty today, princess." I smiled and let him carry me towards the living room.
"Woah you did a great job decorating." Granny said while looking around. "Thanks mom." Mom said sitting down next to her.
"The food looks great." Uncle Austin said, setting me down."The others should be here soon." Mom told them and we waited for the others. When the bell rang again it was Selena, Karlie and Cara. I hadn't seen them in a while, during this time, I had decided to call Selena and Karlie Auntie.
I hugged Cara, who also picked me up. "Hey love." I gave her a kiss on the cheek, making her smile. Karlie picked me from Caras arm.
"If this isn't the birthday girl." She gave me a big hug. "Hey Auntie Karlie." Her eyes widened and she looked at me in shock, while I just turned to Selena, stretching my arms out. "Auntie Selly." She beamed at me and picked me from Karlie's arms. "Happy birthday baby girl." She gave me a kiss on the cheek.
"Can we come in?" I heard Gigi ask. "Gigi. Bella." I squealed, stretching my arms out to the two of them.
Both of them gave me a hug. "How's our pretty birthday girl?" I gave the two of them a big smile. "I'm good, thank you." We walked into the living room. "This looks so pretty." Auntie Selly said and I beamed up at her. I saw some presents on a small side table. "Can I open them?" Mom smiled at me, before shaking her head. "Let's wait till Ed is here, okay?" "Kay Mommy." I climbed down from Bella's arm and onto her lap.
"So tell us about the party theme." Bella said, looking at me. "Fairies. Because fairies are awesome." I told her with a big smile.
"That's true." She answered, smiling. So while I talked to Bella and Auntie Selly, Mom opened the door. "Well hello guys and hello birthday girl." I looked up at the redhead running over to him. "Ed." He picked me up and smiled at me.
"That's a really pretty dress you're wearing." I smiled as he sat me back down. "Can we have food now?" Everyone looked at me and I just nodded. "One second."
Mom went to the kitchen and carried a cake outside. It was light purple, purple and blue and had five candles on top of it. She lit the candles, making me smile. Mom started singing happy birthday, the others joining in. I was bursting with joy.
"Blow the candles and wish for something." She said, setting it down in front of me. I blew the candles, the others started to clap and I smiled happily.
"Okay you guys. I guess the food buffet is open, you can get whatever you want. Most of the stuff is pretty easy to identify. Just for clarification, in the drinks dispenser is pink lemonade and water." Mom said and everyone started eating.
The food was great. The cake was pink on the inside and really, really tasty. And now I noticed something I hadn't before. It was the small table from my school room, filled with crafting things, to make fairy dust and a fairy wand. "Auntie Selly. Can you play with me?" She smiled and took my hand.
"You wanna make fairy dust, a Wand or find out your fairy name?" I smiled up at her.
"My fairy name." Most of the others had followed us to the small crafts table and set down somewhere on the floor.
"Okay the first letter of your name is?" "E." She nodded. "And your birthday is in which month?" "August." She smiled. "Your fairy name is Evergreen Flitter Swirl." I clapped excitedly. "I wanna do yours. Please can I?" She nodded and handed me the picture frame with the instructions. "Well my first letter is S and my birth month is July."
"Uhm Sunflower… Misty Falls." I told her, smiling up at her. "Mommy can we do you next?" She smiled at me. "T and uhm December?" "That's right love." I looked at the list. "Your fairy name is Tulip Wing Wishes." All of us got there fairy names, Bella was Ivy Soft Petals, Gigi, Juniper Blossom Bell, Ed, Evergreen lovely leaf, Karlie was Kaia Flitter Swirl and Cara was Celeste Flitter Swirl. Uncle Austin, Autumn Pixie Shimmer, Pops, Sunflower Pixie Shimmer and Granny, Autumn Breezy Bloom.
We filled small bottles with fairy dust and made wands. This was so much fun. My fairy dust was pink and purple just like my Wand.
I think everyone was having lots of fun, being a fairy for the day. "Can we open presents now?" I asked climbing on Mommy's lap. "Sure if you want."
"Yes please." Mom laughed. "Okay who wants to go first?" Ed raised his hand. He gave me a big package and I slowly ripped the packaging.
It was a Ukulele. I gave him a smile and a hug. "Thank you Ed." He gave me a smile back.
"Okay, my present is next." Cara said, handing me a package, I quickly opened.
Inside was a game called Who's she?
"It's like the typical game of finding out who the other person picked, but only with strong women as characters."
"Thanks Cara." I gave her a hug aswell.
The next to hand me her gift was Karlie. Inside was a robot which you could program using certain cards. I beamed up at her. "Thanks Auntie Karlie." She gave me a hug, before releasing me to unpack Uncle Austin's present. A book about heroes and what makes a hero a hero. I gave him a big hug to say thank you.
"Which one next?" Selena asked me and I shrugged. Bella grabbed her present and handed it to me. I carefully unwrapped my presents. It was a small star light projector and the first two books were about stardust fairies. "Thank you very much." I wrapped my hands around her.
Gigi was the next one. "I hope you like it." I ripped the paper from the package and inside was a trading card kit, to make your own trading cards, and a Crayola Set.
Pops handed me a package wrapped in purple paper. "This from me and you Granny." I smiled at the two of them, while ripping the packaging open. The package contained a box to make best friend bracelets and a book about a girl, who wants to be a food critic.
Selena moved me to pull me on her lap. "There you go, lovely." I opened the present, beaming up at her, giving her a smile and kissing her on the cheek, before running to Mom, to show her the present. It was a book about a girl who loved to cook, with lots of recipes. The girl was Mexican so all the recipes were Mexican and not something we usually cooked, and the gift included a cooking gear in bluish colors.
The grown ups were smiling at my happiness. "Are you ready for my present?" Mom asked and she gently put me down on the couch, while getting up.
"So first this one." She handed me a small package. Inside was a set to knit your own quilt. I remember telling her that I wanted to learn this. "Thanks Mommy."
"I have another present for you." She walked away to the hallway, while I was moving to the edge of my seat waiting for her present.
"Okay are you ready?" "Yes." I squealed in excitement. I heard her coming towards me before suddenly a really small fur ball came running in, as she followed into the room.
I let myself fall down on the floor and hugged the little cat. "She's ten weeks old, sweet girl." Mommy said. I held my hand out and started petting her. She licked my face and started to purr. I looked up at Mommy. "And she's all yours." I giggled and pulled the small kitten into my lap.
Gently I petted the small kitten with her licking my face. "What are you gonna name her?" Auntie Selly asked while playing with the kitten. I looked at the little kitten purring at the pets I gave her.
"Charm." She moved to the floor to sit next to me and met Charm. "That's a very good name. Think I can meet her?" She held her hand out and let Charm sniffle on it, before she started petting her. Mom set down next to me. "Do you like her?" I smiled, while putting an arm around me. "I'm glad you do." She stretched out her hand and gently started to pet Charm. I leaned against her while playing with the kitten.
The rest of the afternoon we played with Charm, before the others one by one had to go, the only one staying over was Selena, so after dinner it was just the three of us, Meredith, Olivia and Charm.
We just watched a movie before, Mommy brought me to bed, Charm followed me into my room.
"Good night, sweet girl. Good night Charm." She said while turning the lights off. "Night Mommy. Night Auntie Selena." Charm jumped onto the bed and curled up beside me.
"Sweet dreams Charm." She meowed back.
Taylors P.o.V.
"I think she had fun today." Selena nodded agreeing. "She did and she looked so happy with the kitten. That was a really good gift."
I started cleaning up around the room, Selena jumping in to help. "I'm just happy she enjoys herself without any kids her age. You know I live seeing her happy." Selena started laughing. "That I know. She's like the one thing you'd kill for. She's like your whole world." I smiled a bit, nodding at her.
"She is. I love her more than anything in this world." We cleaned the food table and put the rest in the refrigerator.
"I still can't believe she's been with me for almost 9 months." I shook my head smiling and Selena smiled as well. "Are you ever gonna release a statement about her?" I shrugged, putting the dishware into the dishwasher. "Maybe when she's a little older.
For now I won't. It's safer. I mean just look at everything going on online and the hate she receives just for existing and then think about the kinda things people would say once they know her whole story." She nodded in agreement. "Yeah. You're right about this."
We sat down on the couch to watch a movie before going to bed. It was around 3 A.m. when someone shook me awake. "Mommy. Can I sleep here?" My eyes fluttered open and I looked at Emilie.
"Of course you can, climb in." I made space for her under the blanket and she cuddled into my chest. "I love you mommy." "I love you to my sweet girl."
