Manvi's POV

I was sitting on bed, I looked at my henna filled hands. Just then the door opened, I stood up and it was my mother who entered inside.

I smiled at her, she kept the wedding dress on bed "acha hua time pe aa gaya.. Warna ache se khabar leti main uss designer ki" she said.

I heard her silently. She glanced at me.. "Kya hua?? Kuch kehna hai?" she asked.

I denied as tomorrow Arjun will reveal everything to them. "Nahi.. jo kehna hai kal kahungi" I said and hugged her tightly. Tears trickled down my eyes.

She smeared my head.. "Abhi se ro rahi hai.. Kal kya hoga phir?"

"Pata nahi mumma.. Bahut kuch kehna hai aapse.." I said.

"Toh keh na..kal mauka nahi milega" she said.

I got apart from her and looked straight into her eyes. I held her hand "will you forgive me?" I asked.

She looked at me bewildered "kis liye?"

"Mumma.. A.." I paused with the ring of my phone. I turned and looked at my phone which was lying down on bed. It was Aarav calling.

"Lo abhi ye janab hum maa beti ke beech haddi ban gaye hai.." she complained.

It rang again.. "Tu pehle aarav se baat karle main yahi baithi hun" she said and sat down on bed.

I agreed, I picked up the call and moved a side.

"I want to meet you right now.. Manvi.." his voice was filled with anger.

"Aarav.. Main nahi.." I said in low voice.

"Abhi ke abhi milna hai Manvi.. Samjhi tum warna acha nhi hoga tumhare liye bhi aur tumhari family ke liye bhi" saying which he disconnected the call.

I sighed deeply. I thought, he got to know about the video been missing that is why he wanted to meet me. Then, I received a message from Ritvik.

"Meet me.. Right now"

I was bewildered why he also want to meet me, as today morning Arjun had already informed him everything.

Should I go or not? My thoughts were disturbed by Ruhana's voice. "Kya hua?? Kaha kho jaati hai tu?" she asked

I looked at her and denied.. "Nahi mumma kuch nahi.."

A message again beeped on my phone "abhi ke abhi aao Manvi.."

I sighed, he won't stop calling me or messaging me till I will not go and meet him. I decided to meet him once. He can't force me or threat me now as Arjun had already deleted everything from them.

"Mumma main aati hun thodi der mein Arjun ka message aaya hai kah raha hai tujhe ice-cream khilane le jaana hai kalse toh tu kisi aurke saath jayegi" I lied to her.

"Mannu no.. kahi nahi jaa rahi ho tum kal shaadi hai na" she denied.

"Please na.. Jaldi aa jaungi.. Aap rest karo bahut kaam hoga kal aapko aur papa ko" I said with a smile.

"Mannu.. Kabhi toh meri baat maan liya karo nahi jaa rahi ho tum kahi" she said strictly.

"Mumma please.. I will be back soon don't worry" I replied and moved out of the room.

Ruhana's POV

I followed her out, she had already climbed down the stairs. I shouted "Are.. sambhalke... jaldi aa jaana"

"Haan aa jaungi" she replied and moved out completely. I smiled "ziddi.. Karni toh apne mann ki hi hai sunni kaha hai meri"

I moved to my room where Vineet was standing at the window. I moved to him and kept my hand on his shoulder. He turned and his eyes were teary.

I wiped it from his eyes "ye aansu?"

"Tum nahi samjhogi.. Kitna mushkil hota hai ek baap ke liye beti ki vidaai karna jisko itne laad pyar se paala" he shared.

"Main nahi samjhungi toh kaun samjhega?? Meri bhi toh beti hai wo" I said keeping my head on his shoulder.

""Kal sab thik hoga na Ruhana?" he asked.

"Haan Vineet.. Abtak sab thik hua hai toh kal bhi hoga.. Ye shaadi sab yaad rakhenge" I said with a smile.

"Haan.. main ek baar milke aata hun usse" he said and turned to move.

I stopped him with "Are nahi.. Wo ghar pe hai nahi.."

He looked at me surprisingly.. "What?? Ghar mein nahi hai matlab?"

"Gayi toh tumpar hi hai na.. Sunti kaha hai meri Arjun ke saath ice cream khane gayi hai" I replied.

"Ye ladki bhi na.. " he sighed.

I smiled.. "Kaafi time ho gaya hai soh jao.. Kal subah baat kar lena jitni marzi karni hai usse"

He nodded and we went for sleep as she was with Arjun so there is nothing to be worry about.

The next morning, I woke up around 7 am. Today was the day, the day of my daughter wedding. I was waiting for this since long time. I got ready and moved downstairs.

"Haan.. nahi ye sab uske saath jayega car mein rakhwado.." I ordered.

Vineet came downstairs, he asked "tumne catering ko call karke confirm kiya tha? And pandit jee se baat hui thi tumhari?"

"Shant.. Sab ho gaya hai Vineet.." I assured him.  

He smiled.. "Pari uthi ki nahi?" he asked.

"Nahi.. abhi uthke kya karegi wo waise bhi bahut tired hone wali hai shaadi mein sone do usko" I said.

"Ruhana.. Abhi 9 baj rahe hai kaafi taiyari karni hai usko bhi toh ready hona hai na abhi uthado" he said.

"Thik hai.. Uthati hun phir mat kehna usne shikayat ki" I said aftermath consequences.

Arjun came and smiled "uski toh aadat hai har baat pe shikayat karne ki"

I smiled at this and moved upstairs to her room. I kept my hand on the door knob and tried to open the door but it did not opened. It was locked from inside. I knocked "mannu darwaza khol.." but she was not opening the door.

Usually she wakes up with my noise in 2 times but today she was not. I grew worried, I knocked harder "mannu darwaza kholo beta.."

I thought harder, I had the room key in emergency. I quickly went to my room and searched for the key. I found it, in the drawer. I rushed back to her room and unlocked the door with it. I opened the door and was left stunned seeing the scenario in front of me.

I shouted "Manvi...."

Hearing my scream, Vineet and Arjun rushed upstairs. They were also stunned seeing the scene.

She had hung herself to the fan. Her feet were hanging in the air and the stool was lying down. Vineet and Arjun rushed, Vineet had held Manvi while Arjun removed the dupatta.

My daughter was lying down on the floor motionless. Vineet had kept her head on his lap, he patted her cheek "Manvi.. Aankhein kholo" but she was not responding.

I was pushed by someone, I came to reality and moved to her. I sat down beside her and held her hand... "utho mannu.. Please utho open your eyes" tears started to brim down my eyes.

Her hand fall straight on the floor leaving us in shock. I looked at Vineet, who had checked her pulse. Tears brimmed down his eyes.. "She is no more.." he said with heavy heart.

I shouted at him "kya bakwaas kar rahe ho tum Vineet? Doctor ko kya tum?"

I glanced at Arjun and shouted "call the doctor.."

Just then a person entered inside.. "Main doctor hun" he was a friend of Vineet.

He checked Manvi for while and then looked at Vineet.. "Sorry Vineet your daughter is no more.." he confirmed it.

I looked at my daughter, I kept my head on top of her and cried. I looked up at Vineet, who eyes were filled with tears.

"Nahi Vineet.. Abhi mat ro shaam ko vidaai hai na.. Iski.. chal uth mannu aise nahi sata mujhe" I said while holding her hand.

"Ruhana.. Wo nahi uthegi ab" he said.

"Aise kaise nahi uthegi? Bahut kuch kehna tha abhi ise mujhse.. Aur tumhe bhi baat karni thi na" I said emotionally..

He closed his eyes and broke down. "Dekh tere papa kaise roh rahe hai.. Mere aansu nahi toh unke aansu hi dekh le.. Utha jaa please" I tried to wake her up but it was in vain. She was not hearing me.

I shook her "uth na.. Mannu"

Vineet stood up and came to me.. He held me by shoulder "Ruhana.."

I jerked him away, he made me face him. "Hamari beti humhe chodke jaa chuki hai... wo ab kabhi nahi uthegi' he said making me accept the reality.

I hugged him tightly and burst out crying. "Aise kaise kar sakti hai ye.. Hamare saath? Shaadi karni thi na aaj toh.. Sab taiyari.. " the words were stuck in my throat.

"Aaj jis ghar se doli uthni chahiye thi arthi uthegi.. Aisa bhi kya hua jo dulhan ne suicide kar liya wo bhi shaadi waale din" one of the relative stated.

I had many questions but no answer.

Arjun sat on his knees and said "kyun Manvi?? Sab thik kar diya tha na maine phir ye kadam kyun uthaya tumne.."

I looked at him and asked "kya thik kiya tumne?"

"Sawal jawab ab main karungi" the unknown voice was heard. Vineet and I stood up, I was shocked seeing the person standing in front of me.

She was dressed up in police uniform along with few other officers.
