Manvi's POV

I was sitting down in front of the mirror. I glanced at myself, how weak I was. The dullness on my face, Arjun was right I had forgotten how to smile. He was like a small light into my dark life. I sighed and wore my jewellery. Today, pre-wedding rituals were starting. I would have been enjoying if he had not been a bad person.

I moved downstairs, many guests were present. Most of them were my father's business related guests and others were common friends and relatives. My mother walked to me, I smiled.

She kissed my forehead, I closed my eyes to feel the love. I opened it after few seconds and looked at her.

"Bahut achi lag rahi ho" she said.

I smiled.

Just then the music was turned on. I looked on and found Arjun standing there. He signalled me to be happy. I nodded, he pulled me.

I smiled at this, for a while I forgot everything. I looked towards Ruhana who came from behind.

I glanced her, her eyes were moist, and so were mine.

I hugged her and she smeared my head. Arjun pulled me closer to himself and danced.

I laughed at his antics. He smiled "now that is like my bestie" he whispered in my ear.

My eyes fell at the entrance and I was shocked seeing Ritvik entering inside in disguise. I panicked seeing him. Arjun pulled me to a corner.

I said "wo Rits yahan... kaise?"

"Shh.. maine usey yahan bulaya hai" Arjun informed.

I was shocked hearing this. "Lekin kyun??" I asked.

"Dekh.. tujhe usko kaise bhi busy rakhna hi hoga.. Taaki main uske ghar jaake wo sab proofs le sakun aur tujhe uske phone se sab pictures delete karne honge samjhi" he explained his plan.

I looked around, and said "Arjun.. Yahan sab log hai function chal raha hai Rits ko kaise handle karungi main?" I asked.

"Are kisiko kuch pata nahi chalega uncle aunty guests mein busy honge.. Main unhe bol dunga tu mere saath hai samjhi.. Please you have to do it.." Arjun said.

I sighed and nodded "but wo mere saath zabardasti.."

"Shh.. nahi karega.. Ek idea hai mere paas" he said smiling mischievously.

I asked "kya?"

He whispered something in my ear. I smiled at this, he was really sharp at making plans.

"Idiot.. Pehle ye idea istemal karti toh kamse kam 5 din to suffer nahi karti" he said.

I smiled lightly. Ritvik was looking around, I said "tum jao.. Isse pehle mumma papa isko pehchan le, main leke jaati hun isko"

He nodded, he rushed to Ruhana and informed her that he is going with Manvi for a ride. She agreed and got busy with guests.

I held Ritvik's hand and took him out of the house. Behind the main bungalow, there was a small guest house. I took him in, there was no one as everyone was in the main house.

He smirked at me "kya baat hai? Pura intezam kar rakha hai.. Waise manna padega bahut guts hai tum mein.. Apne ghar hi bula liya agar tumhare mumma papa ne dekh liya toh?" he asked while moving his fingers on my face.

"Yahan koi nahi aayega Ritvik.." I replied.

He pulled me closer and I closed my eyes. He was about to kiss me, I stopped him with "Rits.. aaj nhi please.."

"kyun?? Zyada natak mat karo tum" he said angrily.

"Rits.. please wo mere cramps hai ye main nahi rok sakti it is natural" I said, and hoped that he is convinced.

He sighed and shouted "Then why did you called me?? Kal raat hi message kar sakti thi na. "

"Wo.. tab nahi tha subah hi.." I paused lowering my head.

He banged his hand on the wall and turned to leave, I remembered, I had to stop him and keep him busy but how? And also had to delete the photographs from his phone. I glanced outside the window and saw Arjun cutting the wire of the light. The lights gets off and it was the chance.

Arjun then took the car and went away to his home.

I managed to pick a vase and hit on Ritvik's head. He falls down on the floor, I called his name "Ritvik.." to assure he his unconscious.

He did not responded. I turned on the lights of my phone and looked at his face, he was unconscious. I had a sigh of relief.

I searched for his phone and found it in his jeans pocket. I tried to unlock it but it demanded fingerprint. I smiled, the technology had made it easier to access the phone. I unlocked it with his finger, I scrolled his gallery and found the folder. I looked and deleted all the pictures, the love moments which he captured to blackmail me. I deleted them all permanently.

"Maine kar diya ye kaam.. I just hope Arjun uske ghar se sab delete kar sake agar hai toh" I thought.

I kept back his phone in his pocket and left from there. I had the courage to fight with them because of Arjun. He was being my support.

I arrived back into the house and looked my parents were busy with guests. I sat down quietly in between some friends of mine.

Ruhana came to me and asked "Tum Arjun ke saath gayi thi na?"

"Haan mumma wo aata hi hoga.. Kuch kaam aa gaya tha usko mujhe drop karke chala gaya" I replied.

Ruhana was convinced "acha.. Chalo change karlo, kal mehendi and haldi hai toh rest karo" she ordered.

I nodded and ran upstairs to my room. I glanced through the window and was shocked, I messaged Arjun.

"Arjun.. Ritvik ko hosh aa gaya hai wo ghar aa raha hai"

It has been half an hour, since Ritvik had left the place. I was walking to and fro in the room in tension. Just then, I heard Arjun's voice.

I looked around and he was standing at the door. He stepped inside, I rushed to him and asked "hua??"

"Haan.. mujhe uske laptop mein copies mili thi.. Maine sab transfer kar diya hai iss hard disk mein" he said showing her hard disk.

I asked "delete kyun nahi kiya?"

"Uska sach saamne laana hai na toh saboot hona zaroori hai.. Aur ye tu sambhal ke rakh apne paas kisike saath nahi lagna chahiye" he said while keeping the hard disk in my hand.

I nodded, he said "Ab muskura de.. Ritvik se tera peecha chudwa diya maine.."

I smiled and then said "but wo ghar jaake dekhega tab kya hoga??"

"Main hun na.. Handle kar lunga.. Ab humhe Aarav se sab lena hoga wo videos.. Kuch plan karte hai" Arjun suggested.

I asked "jo karna hai jaldi karo Arjun.. Waqt nahi hai.. Do din baad shaadi hai aur usse pehle main chahti hun ye sab khatam ho jaye"

He held my hand and assured me "ho jayega sab.. Tum tension mat lo.. Shaadi toh hogi nahi"

I smiled and gave him a friendly hug. Tonight, finally I can have a sleep without any sufferings all because of him, my best friend.

Ruvi's Room

Ruhana's Pov

After a long time, I saw the bright smile on her face. I was satisfied but still had a fear in my heart.

"kya hua? Kya soch rahi ho?" Vineet asked.

I looked at him and replied "aaj khush thi wo.. Arjun ke aane ke baad se"

"haan.. Shayad isliye hi upset thi abtak ki usko Shaadi mein nhi bulaya tha" he said thoughtfully.

"ho sakta hai.. Kuch din aur and then she will go.." I said making a face.

"dukhi kyun hoti ho.. Jab chahe bula lena usko" he said with a smile.

"Haan wo to hai but still.." I replied.

He sat beside me and I kept my head on his shoulder. I said "aisa lag raha hai jaise wo humse bahut door jaa rahi hai... Ajeeb ajeeb khayal aate hai Vineet. Bechain ho jaata hai mann. " I sighed as I shared my feelings.

"hota hai Ruhana.. Maa ho na tum uski. zyada nhi socho Arjun hai na sambhal lega" he said.

I nodded and we slept off thinking of the ceremonies, we had next day.
