I, Manvi Singhaniya, am the only daughter of my parents Vineet Singhaniya and Ruhana Singhaniya. They loved me, specially my father. He fulfills all my demands and my mother always scolds him for this. My father is a successful businessman, ofcourse, with my mother's help. He also says that I am lucky for them, as they succeeded when I came in their life. I'm happy, because they are the ones, around whom, my world revolves.

I returned home from the showroom where I work as a fashion designer, a family was sitting along with my parents.Ruhana got up and approached me, she smiled "mannu aa gayi tum, chalo aao" she held my hand and took me to the sitting area.

I sat down beside her and asked in low tone "mumma what is happening?"

"shaadi ki date fixing" she replied winking at me.

I smiled lightly, my eyes fall on the man who was about 28 years old and handsome. He was staring at me and signaling something with eyes. I shook my head in no, he shook an angry glare at me. I smiled at his irritation.

He got up and asked "Manvi kya main tumhara room dekh sakta hun?"

I smiled at his trick and said "uss din toh aapne dekha tha?"

My father  looked at her and said "mannu le jao na.. tab ye stranger tha, ab toh fiancee hai tumhara"

I looked at him and passed an angry glare, to which he smiled.

"haan haan jao Aarav jaake dekho tab tak hum date fix kar dete hai shaadi ki" his mother said.

I moved and Aarav followed me, we moved upstairs to my room. He looked at the room as if he was seeing it for first time. I said "Aarav aapne ye room pehle bhi dekha hai na"

He turned me and said "haan dekha hai lekin abhi kuch changes hue hai"

I smiled lightly and replied "haan wo jab bhi koi new pics click karti hun achi si, toh frame karke wall pe taang deti hun"

"good habit I am sure hamare room mein bhi tum yahi karne wali ho" he asked me.

I nodded in yes, we had a light conversation then we moved down. My mother  was serving sweets to all, she approached me and smiled "mannu date fixed ek mahine baad hai shaadi"

I was surprised as it was too early, I smiled. Later Aarav and his family left, I was standing in the balcony of my room looking at the sky and admiring the beauty of stars and the moon. I heard two familiar voices, it seemed they were arguing over something. I moved out of the room and looked down my parents were arguing. I rushed down and interrupted in between them "kya hua mumma papa aap dono kyun jhagda kar rahe ho?"

Ruhana looked at me and said "Mannu samjha do tumhare papa ko decorations mere hisab se hogi,catering ka menu main decide karungi, yeh ek kaam karle wahi bahut hai mujhe koi gadbad nahi chahiye"

Vineet said "excuse me Ruhana! Main koi gadbad nahi karta hun samjhi tum!  Meri beti ki shaadi hai toh sab main dekhunga"

"nahi tumhe jo karne ko bola hai wo karo tum. Kitna kaam hota hai Vineet sunte kyun nhi ho tum" Ruhana said in anger.

I smiled lightly at this, Vineet turned towards me and asked "manvi tum batao? Baap ka kaam hota hai na sab dekhna.. tumhari mumma hai ki sunti nhi hai"

"kyunki tum kuch gadbad kar doge" she said.

"nahi karunga na.. gadbad karta toh itna bada business kaise sambhalta?" he asked.

"saara credit khud mat lo. Main aur manvi nhi hote toh tum kaise sambhalte haan?" she asked raising her eyebrow.

"haan toh maine kab kaha tum dono ne kuch nhi kiya.. tum bas shopping karlo baki main dekh lunga" he said adamantly.

"nahi na Vineet.." she also said adamantly.

I finally said "mumma papa.." they looked at me, I hugged my father and cried, as i could not hold my tears anymore. My mother approached me and  asked "mannu kya hua? Roh kyun rahi ho?"

"mujhe nahi karni hai shaadi" I replied while sobbing

"main chali jaungi toh aap dono kisko leke jhagda karoge?" I asked.

"tumhe door karna kaun chahta hai? Lekin ye reet ka kya kare?"  He said while smearing my head.

"ab ro mat.. warna hum bhi roh denge" Ruhana said.

I looked up and nodded, wiping my tears and smiled "main kya kehti hun papa aap mumma ko command sambhalne do aap mere saath shopping karlo with no restrictions" I winked at him.

Ruhana said instantly "no!! tum demand karti rahogi aur ye bigde pita ki tarah sab dilwate rahenge shopping tum aur main karenge Vineet tum baaki dekh lena"

Vineet smiled and asked "pakka??"

"haan pakka" Ruhana said and moved to prepare the dinner.

I then said "papa ek hafte ke liye mujhe delhi jaana hai kaam se"

"thik hai chali jaana main tickets book karta hun" he replied.

I nodded and we moved to the couch for the discussion.

Next morning, I had  to leave for Delhi urgently for work. Ruhana said "mannu iske baad tum chutti le rahi ho samjhi na" She said.

I nodded positively "haan mumma maine already apply kar diya hai iske baad main ghar pe rahungi"

Ruhana smiled, I pecked her cheek lightly and left.

I arrived in delhi in next 4 hours, I checked into the hotel room. I was feeling hungry, I changed and moved down to the cafeteria. I was just scrolling my phone when I collided with a person and my phone dropped down. He picked up my phone and apologized "I am so sorry"

The masculine voice shocked me, we looked at each other  in shock. We both were lost for a moment into each other. He took my name "Manvi"

I came out of my trance and moved from there in anger.
