A LONG CHAP BUT AN INTERESTING ONE!

ROSE'S POV

Should I text him? Or maybe a call? Argh this is soo frustrating! I dialed his number.

"Hey Matt, well uhm are you free today?? I was thinking maybe we could hang out?"

"Huh? Now why is this a sudden thing?"

"I don't know, I just felt like getting a drink and thought maybe you would like one too!"

"Okay something is fishy. Anyways I'm free so I'll pick you up in 5?"

"Perfect! See you soon!!"

Oof that was soo awkward!!

Chloe's number appeared on my phone. I picked it up.

"So did he say yes??!" She yelled.

"Yeah he did but he knows I'm hiding something. I'm not a good liar you know. Also did you get the key?"

"Yeah I know sweetie, also yeah his friend knows where he keeps his spare key, just hold him off till 4pm okay!"

"Okay!"

Okay so all I have to do is distract Matt from going back to his house. Easy right? I have to no matter what! It's his special day and I should not ruin it!! I've been planning this for about a week.

Suddenly the doorbell rang, and I sprang up cause I knew it was Matt.

"Hello, Look who's all dressed up pretty", Matt said with a huge grin on his face.

"Uh- Hehe ..Well this is awkward, let's just go!", saying this I pulled him by his jacket towards his car.

"So are we going to Starbucks?" He asked starting the engine.

"Yupp"

"And you sure you called me only for Starbucks?", he asked raising an eyebrow at me.

"Yeah ofcourse,why else do you think I called you?",saying this I tried to avoid eye
contact.

He squinted his eyes at me trying to burn out the truth in me and then continued to look on the road.

Once we reached Starbucks,he lowered his window and put his arm out on the window and ruffled his hair.

"Hey can I get a mocha frappuccino and a-"

"Pink drink!" I yelled continuing his sentence.

He let out a small laugh and drove the car towards the window where we got our drinks.

I sipped on my drink so that I wouldn't have to talk. He drove with one hand on the wheel and the other one holding his frappuccino.

"Do you know what today is? I don't know if you remember it or not" he said glancing as me.

"Uh the last date for the mega sale in the mall?" I said awkwardly.

Matt rolled his eyes. "You really dont remember??"

"Wait do I think it is what it is.!.!?"

"What do you think it is??" He asked with a smirk.

"Is it time for Victoria's secret annual semi sale?!?!" I yelled and let out a chuckle.

Matt almost spat out his drink. "Huh no What,never mind, your impossible". I could see the hurt in his eyes. I felt bad but I couldn't just spoil his surprise!

"Wait stop the car!" I yelled.

Matt pulled the car over. "Why?What's wrong?"

"Follow me" I said with a smirk and got out of the car.

I ran across the road. "Where the hell are you going?!" Matt yelled from the other side of the street.

"Just come on!!" I yelled back.

I rushed to a cute little stall and Matt appeared behind me.

"What are we doing here now?" He said nonchalantly.

"Wait.....Hah!..Here you go!" I said handing him a bracelet.

"What is this now?" He asked observing it.

"Just put it on!"

I put mine on and he put his on. I pulled his hand next to mine. "See, mine has a key and yours has a heart shaped lock, this will signify our bond together".

He looked at it and then let a small smile curve on his mouth. "Don't you think its something for couples?" He asked raising an eyebrow.

I didn't think of that before and now I was blushing as red as tomato.

"Uh well, we can use it as our friendship bond right?"

He let out a small laugh and held my hand. "Sure, Thank you Rose", he said smiling while looking into my eyes.

"Hehe your welcome!" I said grinning back.

We got back in the car and Matt started to drive while I leaned back adoring my bracelet.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"My house" he said.

"Ohokay.......Wait No we can't go to your house!!!!!!!".

I checked my phone for any messages from Chloe but there were none. She told me that she would text me when they were done decorating his house.

"Now your telling me that I can't go to my own house? Besides I also have to give you back the book you gave me to borrow last week".

"No let's roam around more! Please!" I asked worriedly. If Matt goes home then the whole surprise is spoiled!!!

"Sorry Rose but we can't roam around all day, we're not 12 anymore" he said with a chuckle.

He parked the car few feet away from his house and got out.

"No wait Matt don't go!.. Let's go to the central park!" I said running after him.

"Damn rose what's gotten into you today?" He said laughing.

I checked my phone again but not messages from chloe. Oh god help me!

My mind was rummaging for ideas to distract Matt.

Hah got it!

I pretended to fall on the ground. "Ouch!"

"Rose, are you okay?! How the hell did you even fall??" He said bending next to me.

"I dont know, I Tripped", I lied.

"Your telling me you tripped on this road that so smooth it does not even have a single rock?"

"Yeah I'm clumsy, it hurts Matt...I think it's broken!!" I whined.

"What?! You've gotta be kidding me! Where does it hurt?..C'mon let's go to a hospital right now.."

Suddenly my phone pinged and Chloe's message popped up saying "We're Ready!!"

"Finally!..Come on Matt, I have a better idea than the hospital!", saying this I sprang up and started pulling Matt with me.

"Wait how the hell are you running? You just said your leg was broken!I'm so confused. Rose are you on drugs?" He asked blinking his eyes at what just happened.

"Oh stop talking and just follow me!"

"What the hell is going on Rose?" Matt asked worriedly as I shoved him into his house.

The whole house was dark. Suddenly the lights came on revealing the beautiful decorations and the sound of poppers echoed. "Happy Birthday Matt!!", everyone yelled in unison.

Matt looked blankly and a smile curved on his lips. He turned back towards me. "You remembered" he whispered to me.

"Happy birthday!!" I whispered back and winked at him.
