Aphmau POV

"We would love to work here!" I say, peeking up. So does KC. "Who else works here?" I ask.

"Well you are the only ones so far. We need a few more employees to actually open." She says. That's when I get an idea.

"How about guys? I have six friends who need a job." I say. She nods.

"Kawaii-Chan is so excited!" She squeals. I laugh along with Martha.

"I have to leave now to do some paperwork but I would love it if you brought your friends tomorrow morning. For now, here is my phone number." She gives us a business card before standing up and walking to her office. We both stand up and walk to the car and drive home. As soon as we arrive, I am tackled to the floor by Ross. How do I know?

"Ross!" He shouts. I shove him off of me, standing up and stepping over him, sighing.

"That hurt." I mumble. Katelyn walks down the stairs.

"Who's shouting?" She asks, annoyed before noticing us. "You guys are home early. Something happen?" She asks. I shrug.

"We got fired." I say, making her gasp. She goes over and hugs KC.

"I'm sorry to hear that. What are you going to do now?" Katelyn asks.

"Well I got us and the guys a new job. If the guys are living with us then they should also get a job." I reply. This makes Ross groan.

"But I don't wanna work!" He complains. All of the other guys walk up from the basement.

"What's with all the complaining?" Max asks, annoyed. Kinda reminds me of Katelyn.

"You are all getting jobs!" I smirk at them. They all groan.

"We are your protectors though!" Barney complains in his normal English. Apparently Katelyn was getting annoyed at his broken English so he started speaking normal.

"But you can't protect me if you're not near me." I smirk.

"She's right." Jin says to the guys before turning towards me. "So when do we start?"

"Tomorrow morning." I tell them before walking upstairs and feeding Celeste since her bowl is empty. As soon as I'm done, I go over to my computer and turn it on before going onto YouTube to watch some random videos. After a while, I hear a knock on my door.

"Dinner is ready Jess!" I hear Ross say before he walks away. I turn off my computer before walking out of the door. As I turn to my right, I see a shadow. It jumps out at me, making me scream and fall backwards. Suddenly, all of my fears are shown to me. As soon as I blink, it's gone and everybody is running up the stairs with weapons. Well Max has his hands on fire and Barney has a gun made out of dirt.

"What's wrong?" Sky shouts, crouching down to my level since I'm still on the ground, leaning back on my hands and facing the wall with fear in my eyes. What was that thing?

"Just a shadow, it's not real." I mumble to myself but Ross seemed to hear me.

"A shadow? Jin." Ross turns towards Jin with a serious face. Shocking really. I'm use to his happy self.

"I'm on it." Jin replies before disappearing from sight in a flash of light. Red walks up to me with a cup of tea, my favourite tea that is rare to find.

"T-thanks." I mumble, taking it out of his hands. Max picks me up, taking me downstairs before sitting me on the couch, Barney wrapping me in a blanket. Jin appears next to me with a book, showing me a page. I place it in my lap.

"Is this what you saw?" He asks. I nod, making him sigh. "The shadows have found her. We need to protect her until we can put a barrier around the house." Jin says before taking the book off of me and standing up. Sky takes his spot and pulls me into a hug, letting me lean on his chest. Katelyn brings me a plate of mac n cheese. I remember Max saying it was his favourite and wanted KC to cook it for dinner today. This was last night.

"Are you okay? What did you see?" Sky asks. I shrug.

"My greatest fear." I mumble, taking another sip of my tea before eating my food slowly. All of the guys sit around me, some on the ground or some standing behind me all eating. Katelyn is sitting on a chair from the table with KC, watching TV. We all sit in silence.

"What is your greatest fear Aphmau?" Katelyn asks. I shrug.

"Trust me, you don't wanna know. Let's just say that I might become clingy for a few days now." I say, smiling at her. She raises her eyebrow.

"What do you-" she is cut off from me jumping on her, giving her a big hug and making everybody laugh.

"Good to see you happy again Jess!" Barney says, polishing his dirt gun. I don't know how you polish a gun made of dirt that shoots dirt. Oh well!

"Meh. I'm tired." I say before walking back to my seat, lying on everybody's laps before pulling my blanket over me. Before closing my eyes. I feel Ross cuddle up to me in his squirrel form.

"Do I look like a bed to you?" Max asks, annoyed.

"Kinda." I mumble, opening my eyes to smirk at him. Sky starts to stroke my hair. I close my eyes, letting him.

"Just this once but don't expect me to always be this nice." Max says, sighting. I smile before letting myself fall asleep in their laps. Ross had already fallen asleep on my arms.
