Aphmau POV

"Ugh.. what happened?" Zenix asks, sitting up and opening his eyes to see me sitting next to him. "Kitty? What's happening? Why am I here?" He starts to panic, looking around.

"You were possessed by a dark power. Do you know anything about it?" I ask. Everybody leaves the room but Barney who had his arm fixed up.

"Dark power..." he mumbles before gasping. "Last year while the Shadow Lord was at an important event, this dark aura came and possessed him. We tried to get away but the calling always brings us back so we had no choice but to follow him. We wanted to stop following him after how they treated you while you were there but as you can see, that didn't work out. Next thing I know, I woke up here." Zenix explains.

"So my father isn't normally evil?" I ask. He smiles and nods.

"He is a good man. Just cursed to be a shadow knight like us. Some of us didn't choose to be like this, Kitty." Zenix says. I look at him with sad eyes.

"How do you become a shadow knight?" Barney asks.

"You either are born like one, you ask to be like one like Laurence did or you... die." He explains.

"How did you become a shadow knight?" I ask him gently. He sighs, looking down. "You don't have to-"

"I was with Sasha and Gene one day in high school. We use to be good. Always had our homework on time and never late to class. One day... it was Sasha's birthday so we decided to go out not town and celebrate. By the time we decided to walk home? It was dark and we had to walk through the forest to get to our hangout for the night. Suddenly, we were kidnapped and dragged into a portal where we were all thrown into a room. I-it was covered in blood! They tortured us before throwing us into lava. We woke up on a bed in an abandoned shack. The man who obviously turned us was a stray because he came in and suddenly, he was knocked down to the ground. We were taken to the shadow lord who took care of us. He is like a father to us! I was scared when that dark aura took over him. We didn't know what to do so we just did what he said. Sasha and Gene don't want to do this either." Zenix starts to cry so I hug him.

"I swear on my life that I will help you. I will bring the true shadow lord back and maybe we could go out and hang out? Maybe." I comfort him. I let him cry into my chest until he pulled away, a determined look on his face.

"Gene and Sasha are still in there. Gene was also controlled by the darkness. He was effected while trying to help us and now he hasn't been in control. Sasha is still there and she could be in danger! I have to help them!" He stands up and puts his daggers in his holsters before putting it on. I grab his sleeve.

"Wait! Here." I take out a bracelet from my pocket that appeared when I purified him. He takes it out of my hand, confused.

"What is this?" He asks, putting it on. I shrug.

"When I purified you, it appeared so I kept it safe for you. If I'm correct, I'm going by my terrible memory here, it should prevent you from being consumed by darkness again. I have no idea to be honest." I explain. He nods.

"What's wrong with your memory?" He asks. I sigh before looking down. I look behind me to see Barney isn't here anymore.

"I don't remember my life. I remember being born here but apparently I am the daughter of Irene. The guys who aren't shadow knights are apparently all my best friends. Sky told me a dark power was locking my memories of them up so I don't remember them and yet, they still protected me." I explain to him.

"Kitty, I will figure out anything I can about your memories." He smiles at me while I glare at him.

"It's not kitty! It's Aphmau or Jess!" I exclaim, making him laugh. When we stop laughing, he takes out a device.

"Well I have to go back to the nether. I will do whatever I can. Just please, help soon. I can't stand to see Gene and Sasha like this!" He says before pressing the button and disappearing. This is when I decide to go back to the living room where everybody is. Vylad and Laurence look like they are sleeping.

"What happened? Where is he?" Sky asks, panicked. I grab him before he goes to run down the stairs.

"He told me the story of what happened to the nether. He went back and is going to fill us in on what's happening. All we have to do in return is save the nether before the darkness consumes us all." I tell him. He puts his hand on his head and sits back into the couch before sighing.

"This is all giving me a headache." Sky sighs. I grab three blankets and put one over Sky before going over to Vylad and Laurence and placing a blanket over them.

"Get some sleep. We will wake you if something comes up." I tell him. He nods before closing his eyes, light snores coming from him. He must have been really tired.

"So what now?" Red asks. I shrug.

"Well we need to figure out a way to stop Gene from entering your dreams." Jin faces me. I sigh.

"But how?" I ask.

"We visit the library in the Irene dimension of course!" He smirks, making me groan.

"Noooooo!" I cry as Red teleports us to the Irene dimension. Right in the library.
