Aphmau POV

I wake up to voices whispering quietly, making me scared. I don't know why but it does so I quickly jump out off the bed and summon my dark hand. I open my eyes to see Katelyn and Barney there, Barney with his gun out, aimed at the hand.

"G-guys? What are you doing here?" I ask while my hand takes control of itself and picking me up from the ground that I fell on. It places me back on the bed before disappearing into a poof of shadows.

"What was that thing?" Barney shouts, putting his gun away. This wakes up Ross who jumps up in fright and turns into a squirrel before jumping over the guys and onto my lap.

"It's my dark hand. Some of my fathers powers from the dark heart." I explain. Katelyn looks confused but Barney just shakes her head at her.

"Why do I feel so weird?" Ross asks, making me also notice the weird feeling. It's in my leg and feels like it's spreading. "My arm feels like something is spreading." Ross turns back into a human and moves so he is sitting next to me on the bed.

"Same here but with my leg. What's wrong with us?" I ask. Barney and Katelyn share a look before turning to us.

"It's just a side effect of the medicine. Why don't you both go back to sleep? We will wake you up when dinner is ready." Katelyn says calmly before putting the covers over me and Ross. I cuddle into his chest and nod while Ross puts his head in my hair. We both fall asleep like this.

I wake up in a field full of flowers. In the middle is a huge tree with a familiar person sitting under it. I walk over to him and sit on the bench he is sitting on himself. He just continues to look up at the sun.

"Hey Sky. So this is where you have been for three weeks? How are you?" I ask him. He just sighs.

"I'm doing good. I've spent the last three weeks worrying about you and trying to wake up but it looks like you don't need saving. I'm glad." He gives me a gentle smile.

"Do you know how I got here?" I ask him. He nods and smiles.

"Whenever you had a question or wanted somebody to talk to, you would just show up here. We didn't know how it was possible but we decided to keep this between us." He explains. "So what question did you have that wasn't answered?"

"I have a weird feeling in my leg that feels like it's spreading. Same with Ross except it's in his arm." I tell him. He has a thoughtful look.

"I have that feeling in my stomach. It's the poison of the Shadow Knights. It will give us mood swings until it spreads far enough to do damage. There is a cure but you can only use the flower of Irene. It has not been found though. Not even Irene remembers where she planted her orchard." Sky explains. Suddenly, everything starts to go transparent and crumble, making me stand up.

"What's happening?" I ask. Sky pulls me towards him.

"I'm waking up which means you are as well. See you in a few minutes." He says.

I sit up and open my eyes, making sure I don't wake Ross up but when I look for him, I see him on his own bed. Barney or somebody must have moved him. I throw my legs off of the bed before grabbing my crutches and going over to Sky's bed that is next to mine. His eyes start to open so I sit in the chair beside his bed.

"Morning Jess." He yawns before sitting up, instantly groaning from the pain in his stomach. "It's worse awake." He complains.

"Well we aren't exactly dreaming now so it's going to be painful." I stick my tongue out at him before standing up and going over to Max who has yet to wake up. "When do you think he will wake up?" I ask him. He slowly gets out of the bed and drags the chair with him to sit next to me. He then goes and puts his fingers on his forehead, a glow emitting from them.

"It's going to be a while. It may look like he doesn't care for us but he is always protecting us. He took most of the hits but he stayed up the longest. He must have called Jin before he finally went down though." Sky explains to me before sighing. I push some of Max's hair out of his eye before leaning back into my chair.

"You're awake." I turn to see Ross sitting up and rubbing his eyes before turning to Max.

"For five minutes I have been awake now. It's good to see you alive." Sky waves a hand to Ross who smiles back.

"Anyway, what are we going to do about the antidote?" I ask. Ross looks confused so Sky quickly explains it to him.

"Well we could go to the Irene dimension and look through the library. Maybe that has some information?" Ross says. We both look at him.

"That's a good idea. Who are you and what have you done with my squirrel friend?" I ask him.

"Hey! I can be smart if I want to be! Now let's go to the castle." He stands up.

"Only Red, Barney and Jin can teleport us there, remember. We are too weak to use our magic because of the poison.

"Wait here." I say before standing up and crutching myself up to the top floor and using my shadow hand to grab Red who walks by. I then go down the stairs again to see Sky face palming. Ross is giving me a thumbs up.

"I'm not going to ask." Sky says.

"What's going on?" Red replies. We tell him about going to the castle and he takes us.
