It was now the night of Backlash, and both Anthony and Sasha were both scheduled to defend their titles. Anthony against Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship and Sasha against Nia Jax, after the Irresistable Force won a gauntlet match the previous week on Raw. After they arrived at the arena, the happy couple were so fired up for the PPV.

Anthony: I have never looked forward to a match more in my entire life!

Sasha: I'm just happy I'm booked to retain the title tonight, cos I keep having flashbacks to 2016, and that rivalry with Charlotte and all those title losses...

Anthony then rested his hands on Sasha's shoulders.

Anthony: Babe, listen to me. Don't let the past trouble you now, that's over and done with. What's important is the here and now, and you need to go out there and show those people, especially Dumb and Dumber, just why you are the Legit Boss and the Raw Women's Champion.

Sasha smiled and hugged her boyfriend.

Sasha: Thanks babe, that has really made me feel motivated. Now I've gotta go get myself looking beautiful, catch you later!

They kissed as Sasha left for make-up and Anthony then got dressed into his gear for his match. He kept looking at the title, and sat down and spoke to himself, holding the belt.

Anthony: Am I a lucky man? Or a deserving man? I've gone through so much, and look at me now. Top of the mountain, the Universal Champion. With the most gorgeous girl in WWE as my girlfriend.

He looked one more time at the title.

Anthony: Yeah... I'm definitely one lucky son of a gun!

He laughed at himself as he finished getting ready.

Meanwhile, Alexa had just arrived at the arena. She was scheduled to make her return tonight to confront Sasha after Wrestlemania. But she had much bigger plans than just Sasha. With Alex still on the shelf as he suffered a serious collarbone injury from Xander back at Mania, Alexa had come up with a plan to get back at Sasha and Xander, but also Anthony, as well as a way to try and separate them. She saw Sasha leave the locker room and knew now was her chance. She heard Anthony talking inside and as he stopped, she looked inside and saw he had gone into the bathroom. Now was her chance. She quickly took off her shirt and bra, stuffed it in his bag, and waited for him to come out before she  saw him, as she tried to get her shirt back on.

Anthony: WHOA! What the hell, Alexa?

Alexa: Hey, there, big boy. Miss me?

Anthony was in shock as to what he had just witnessed.

Anthony: But... How... W-what the hell?... You need to get out, right now!

Alexa: Okay fine... just help me get this back on...

Reluctantly, Anthony helped her get her shirt back on, but in the process, Sasha had arrived back from make-up and was in total disbelief. Anthony looked like a deer caught in the headlights, while Alexa had a evil smirk on her face.

Sasha: What the hell, Anthony?! I leave you alone here for 20 minutes and I come back to see you with... HER?!

Anthony: Sash, please, it's not what it-

Sasha: Save it, I don't wanna know! I honestly thought you loved me...

Anthony: I do though, Sasha! I do!

Sasha: Clearly you don't, if you're doing whatever it was you were doing with her.

Sasha noticed Alexa's bra in Anthony's bag, and looked even more angry. She then grabbed her stuff and was about to leave, but not without making her mark.

Sasha: Don't bother talking to me, mister. And as for you...

Sasha slapped the taste out of Alexa's mouth, but the smirk on her face remained as Sasha then left, slamming the door behind her. Anthony's face turned into one of thunder.

Anthony: Why?

Alexa: Simple. You injured Alex and put him on the shelf. Doctors say he will be out for 3 months. So I just exacted my revenge on you. If I can't be happy... then neither can you.

She skipped to his bag, grabbed her bra and then headed for the door.

Alexa: Well, my work is done. Good luck in your match... Toodles!

She left, leaving Anthony with his head in his hands. He had fallen victim to Alexa's prank, and Sasha fell for it, hook, line and sinker. But he still had to remain focused on his match later and let his emotions run wild afterwards.

An hour later, Sasha was coming towards the end of her match with Nia. After getting her down, Sasha went for a frog splash and then instead of going for the pin, went into the Bank Statement. Despite Nia holding on, she tapped before Tamina could make the save.

Jojo: Here is your winner, and STILL Raw Women's Champion, Sasha Banks!

Sasha was about to get up and celebrate as she was given her belt, when the crowd erupted as Alexa then came from behind her, and hit Sasha twice with a steel chair. She then hit her snap DDT onto it, and left Sasha laying. She then mocked Sasha and held the title before throwing it onto Sasha's limp body. Backstage, Anthony wished he could do something, but he thought better of it after what had gone down earlier. After a while, Sasha came backstage, and saw Anthony looking lonely. She wanted to say something to him, but didn't have the courage to do so, and instead went to see Bayley.

Bayley: Hey, Sash, why the long face? You just retained against Nia!

Sasha: I think me and Anthony are done...

Bayley's eyes went wide open in pure shock.

Bayley: What happened?

Sasha: Alexa happened. I caught him and Alexa trying to get her shirt back on in his locker room, as well as HER bra in HIS bag.

Bayley: Well, it might not have been what you think it was. We all know Alexa likes pulling stunts like this. Maybe this was another one.

Sasha: With their history? I highly doubt it.

She sighed as Anthony made his way down the ramp, but just walking down it, not doing his usual entrance. Part of her felt guilty for how she reacted, but nothing could be done now.

Anthony made his way to the ring and didn't look the same. He didn't raise the title or react to the fans. He simply got in the ring and waited for the match to begin. When it did, Seth knew something was wrong.

Seth: What's wrong, bro?

Anthony: Let's just get this over with.

30 minutes later...

Anthony had Seth lined up to deliver a Shining Wizard type move, calling it Silent Night, and then got the 3 count on Seth after a hard fought battle.

Jojo: Here is your winner, and STILL WWE Universal Champion, Anthony Jenkins!

Instead of celebrating, Anthony simply took his title and walked out, not stopping for anyone. He then immediately went to his locker room, had a shower, and got dressed. On the way, he saw Sasha, with Bayley.

Sasha: Anthony?

He just carried on walking, like he didn't see her.

Sasha: Anthony, please! Can we talk?

He then turned around, and saw Sasha trying to fight back tears.

Anthony: I thought you said not to bother talking to you.

Sasha: I didn't mean it. I just-

Anthony: Over-reacted? Tell me something I don't know.

Sasha: Look, just tell me the truth.

Anthony: Nothing happened. NOTHING! She framed me... but you obviously don't believe me.

Bayley: Look, she feels guilty about what happened, and she's sorry, okay?

Anthony: Well, personally, I think we need a break from this. I'll see you around, Sash.

As he turned back around and left, he couldn't help but feel bad, but he knew in his heart he had done the right thing. Sasha broke down completely and Bayley was there to console her.

Bayley: I know it's tough, but you'll get through it... I know you will.

Sasha: But he said he wants a break! Does he really l-love me?

Bayley: At least it's not a break-UP! Listen, until he's made his mind up, come and stay with me, Finn and Flex. That dog misses you...

Sasha: I guess I should... I'd hate to be alone right now... thank god I have you, bestie!

They then hugged and headed to Bayley's locker room, but not before Sasha took one last look at Anthony as he went into his locker room.

Sasha: What do I do now...?
