Ryleigh POV

"I'm really not sure about this Ro" I say furrowing my brow as he kneels down in front of me and reaches for my boot.

"I know babygirl but the doctor said you were ok to take it off now" he says pulling the first velcro strap "and he said you would be able to enjoy your pregnancy better now you're not lumbering around in this thing"

"I know I'm just nervous about how it's going to feel" I sigh "what if it hurts?"

"Then I will take you right back to the hospital to get you checked over" he says "now relax I'm almost there" he says as he continues pulling the velcro straps on my boot, when he pulls the last one he looks up at me and gives me a soft smile before removing the boot completely "There how does that feel?" He asks

"Strange, I'm not used to my leg feeling so light" I chuckle

"It will be weird for a bit but you will get used to it" he says "now let's get the rest off" he says hooking his fingers into the stop of the elasticated tube bandage that had been adorning my foot and leg. Slowly he rolls it down and I'm shocked at how dry the skin on my leg has become "don't worry moisturiser will sort that out" he says like he knows what I'm thinking.

He carefully pulls the bandage over my ankle before removing it all together and then suddenly the expression on his face changes "damn babygirl I love you but that foot does not smell good" he says

"That's what happens when you can't wash your foot for months" I chuckle "don't worry I'll get in the shower and wash it" I say going to stand up but he stops me.

"You are going to sit right there and let me handle it" he says kissing my forehead "I said I'd take care of you and that's what I'm going to do"

As he heads into the bathroom I suddenly become aware of how itchy my leg is, as I stretch it lightly the skin peels a little, I hear the sound of someone clearing their throat and look up to see Roman hold a bowl of water and a towel looking at me with his eyebrow raised.

"I hope you weren't scratching that just now" he says and i shake my head "I've put some lotion in the water that should sooth the itch" he says placing the bowl by my feet.

Slowly he lifts my foot and places it in the warm water, I watch as he gently washes my leg and foot his fingers moving featherlight over my ankle. Once he's done he lifts my foot and wraps it in the towel before moving the bowl away.
He dries it off and then grabs a tub of moisturiser, he rubs it into his hands before massaging it softly into my leg and foot.

"There how's the itch?" He asks

"Much better thank you" I smile "you know I could get used to you taking care of me like this"

"Good becuase I will always take care of you this way" he says "I love you Ry"

"I love you two Ro" I say "how's it smell now?" I ask lifting my foot to his nose with a laugh

"Like roses" he smiles pressing a soft kiss to the top of my foot "are you ready to try walking on it?" He asks and I nod

He lifts me off the bed and stands me by the window "Alright you stand here" he says before walking back from me a few paces "now walk to me babygirl" he says holding out his arms

I walk over to him slowly, the feeling of carpet on my now bare foot is a little strange and although it doesn't hurt putting my full weight on my foot is also strange. When I reach Roman he wraps me up in a hug and kisses the top of my head.

"How did it feel?" He asks as I rest my head against his chest

"A little weird but painless" I say "I just need to get used to not having the boot on"

"Great now we can focus our energy on bubba" he says placing a hand on my stomach "Baby boy needs our attention now?"

"Boy? What makes you so sure?" I ask and he smirks

"I just know, deep down I have this feeling it's a boy" he says "but a girl would be just as nice"

"We'll find out soon enough" I say wrapping my arms around his neck "how about right now I give you my attention" I say pecking his lips

"Well it would be nice to make love to my fiancée without that damn boot getting in the way" he chuckles as he kisses my neck "and I do believe you said something about a shower"

"I did but then you washed my foot so I don't need one" I smirk and he looks at me

"Oh I don't know, looks to me like it could do with another wash" he smirks before scooping me up in his arms and making me gasp "time to get wet babygirl"
