~Chapter 3~
We all fell asleep in the great hall but I ended up waking up after a nightmare of seeing my sisters getting their throats cut open right in front of my eyes. When I woken up I had sat up sweating slightly and gasping for air. I soon calmed myself down to see Erza asleep leaning on the wall next to the doors. Natsu was asleep leaning on a support pillar in the middle of the room. I got up and headed outside my mind on my sisters once more. I couldn't stop feeling guilty for failing them and the village.
I knew I had to get pass this feeling to use my magic fully and save them all. I moved to stand right in the middle of the path, staring up at the night sky. The stars giving off a bright glow as the moonlight made them look even more bright. I smiled slightly remembering the times I would drag Eclair and Michelle to the fields near by just to stare up at the stars. I soon saw a golden shooting star as my hand went on Eclair's necklace that I was wearing. "I wish they are safe" I whispered my eyes watering slightly.
I cursed that I wasn't the best with emotions. Michelle was the worse she never controlled them well. One second she could be happy the next she was crying her eyes out begging to die and then 0.5 seconds she would be beating someone up. She had many struggles on the emotions. I myself sometimes lost control when it came to things like this. To things where something bad happened. Eclair had full control on her emotions. She could make it as if she had none. I smiled at the memories as I looked around the dark town.
Even thought it was night the moonlight and stars had given just enough light to look around. Memories coming to my eyes as to me I was seeing me, Michelle and Eclair as kids. Michelle and I were dragging Eclair toward the new bakery that had just opened up. We was must to be doing our home schooling but we had somehow gotten out. Eclair was trying to yell at me and Michelle to go back home as me and Michelle were smirking dragging her. Working together we had more strength.
If it was just one of us dragging she would of been able to pull backwards and get free. The memory and images fade as my sights went to the now fully destroyed building that the bakery once stood. I felt a great pain in my heart knowing many people I knew were dead or badly in pain right now. I heard a twig snap not far from me as I turned around fast to not being able to see anyone. The horses were outside the grand hall sleeping. I looked around getting ready to call one of my spirits to get help.
"Calm it girl" a male spoke coming out of the shadows. The man had long, two-toned hair of black and white that was tied up into a Japanese-style top knot on the back of his head, with the black portion overlaying the front and left side of his head, leaving the smaller white portion concentrated on the left, with the top knot also having the two separate colors correspondingly. On his face, Totomaru sports a simple marking consisting of three horizontal black bars passing across the ridge of his nose and both cheeks in a linear formation, with the one in the middle being the longest.
He was wearing a ninja-like attire consisting of a long, orange reddish Karate gi-like cloth, held closed by a black belt, with prominent reddish fur around the collar, and with the sides being made of thick fishnet, with other, looser fishnet appearing on his forearms, with his robe's sleeves being rolled up. His attire was completed by a simple shirt appearing from under his gi, and a pair of loose black pants tucked inside simple black boots. He also carried around a simple katana strapped to his left hip.
"Who are you?" I asked as I was still on guard. I couldn't trust anyone fully. Even with the Prince and his knight I wasn't sure on who I could trust. There was some strange feeling toward the Prince but I couldn't understand it. "My name is Totomaru" he then answered as I kept a careful watch on him. Totomaru looked around the destroyed town. "I came here hoping to rest for the night, what happened?" he asked as his face showed as if he was telling the truth but something inside me didn't trust him.
Something in his eyes was telling me that it was a lie, to not trust him. "I am not sure" I answered with a lie as I wasn't sure if he believed me or not. Totomaru soon noticed the two horses that me, Prince and Erza had outside the grand hall. "Not alone huh?" He asked as I saw my hand moved onto the holder of his sword. "Why care?" I asked as I knew this wasn't going to end well. I had a very bad feeling as Totomaru soon sighed shaking his head. "All I want is that necklace girl" he spoke looking right at me.
He had no emotion in his face or eyes as he pulled out his sword. I stepped back as my mind went to Eclair. She once told me that this necklace meant something to her old village. It was the only thing she would talk about her village, she did get to upset to bring anything else up. "Not happening" I spoke grabbing one of my keys as Totomaru just sighed shaking his head. "You was that mage they left behind in this town huh? The sister of the Phoenix Bride Priestess?" Totomaru asked as I was confused.
'Phoenix Bride Priestess'? Eclair? Eclair a Priestess? Like hell. She may of been able to be calm at times but I couldn't see her being some Priestess. "What did that other girl call her.... Oh yes Eclair" Totomaru spoke as I froze in fear. He really was talking about her. The other girl had to of been Michelle. Fear was starting to grow inside of me. "If you are their sister maybe using you could get us what we want" Totomaru spoke as my hand holding Loke's key started to shake slightly as I was starting to get upset.
"What have you done to them?" I asked loudly as I felt my own eyes start to water. I needed to keep at lest some control of my emotions. I couldn't let him use them. "The Priestess is locked away getting tortured because she won't give us the information we need the other girl she had a very high magic count meaning someone wanted her so she was given to them but even more luck she ended up being the one to torture the Priestess" Totomaru answered smirking as I was fully frozen.
True fear just rushed inside of me at the thought of what they could of done to Michelle. Totomaru laughed as I felt a tear go down my cheek. "Feelings and emotions. True weakness" Totomaru soon spoke once he calmed down. He started to move toward me. I wanted to move and fight but the fear for my sisters just had me frozen. "Bringing the mage of this village to the boss could get me some points" Totomaru spoke as his sword reached me. He placed the end of the blade at my neck.
I could feel it on there. I knew all he had to do was one swipe and I would of been dead. "So how about you tell me who else is in that building?" Totomaru asked as I my emotions were worse than normal. It felt as if someone had heighten them. It was as if I could feel the pain, fear and worry more than normal. I was glad that I was able to keep my mouth shut as Totomaru sighed shaking his head slightly. "Bringing you dead or alive I could get points on both ways" he mumbled as I could tell he was thinking of killing me or just kidnapping me.
"Angel come out here, your spell on the girl to make her feel more emotions worked a tad to well" Totomaru nearly shouted as a girl soon came out of the shadows smirking. The girl had brown eyes and short silvery hair, with bangs covering her forehead. Two strands of her hair came down each side of her face, framing it. Angel also had a dark-blue ribbon around her head with four bows hanging from it, two on each side, that covered her ears. A piece of hair at the top curls into a halo that rises conspicuously from her head.
Angel was wearing a short dress made up of white feathers with two feathery wings that hanged from her back. The dress splits just above her navel and reveals much of her cleavage, becoming more reminiscent of a vest. She also had long, dark blue gloves that covered her arms, passed her elbows and knee-length, dark blue stockings with light blue, feathered boots. "Well my spell on her plus what feeling she had on top clashed" this Angel laughed as all I could see was bloodlust in her eyes.
Some reason I just couldn't move. Now understanding she had a spell on me I knew this was going to be a problem. All I could do was use my words. "LOKE" I soon shouted as the two people in front of me looked confused. Totomaru moved away his sword smirking. "So you got one other huh?" he asked before getting punched onto the ground. I turned my head to see Loke standing there his hands giving off a golden glow as his face was filled with pure rage, his eyes where giving off a crazy set of bloodlust.
"Anyone who threatens my Lucy doesn't get away with it" he spoke his voice was dark, harsh and filled with venom as Angel glared toward him as Totomaru looked at Loke glaring before rushing at him with his sword.
