Sho's eyes widen and looked down. He took a deep breathe before letting out a deep sigh
"Okay but...it's best if we talked in private" Sho said and looked at the group of girls
"Say no more" Matsuri said
"Yes. We'll be leaving now" Nene said
"Text us if you need anything Yuzucchi" Harumin said
"Yeah sure. Bye and please be careful out there" Yuzu said as she waved goodbye
"Of course" Harumin said. The girls left Yuzu and Sho alone
"Okay now that they're gone...I want to hear about Mei's childhood" Yuzu said
"Why? Did something happen?" Sho asked. Yuzu looked down fidgeting with her fingers
"Mei...cut herself" Yuzu said. Sho's eyes widen and looked over at Yuzu
"Wait...she cut herself?" Sho asked
"Yes and the next thing she mumbled out mother or something about her mom. I asked Mei about it but...I don't think it's the whole truth" Yuzu said
"What did she tell you?" Sho asked
"That her you and her loved each other for a while until her mother started to act a little obsessive over you. You divorced her and the Mei said both you and her mother left" Yuzu said
"It's my fault Mei is like this..." Sho said as he looked down
"Your fault?" Yuzu asked
"Yes I'm the one to blame. I was never a father to Mei...and Mei will never look at me like her father no matter how hard I try to be one" Sho said
"What do you mean by that?" Yuzu asked
"Mei was born differently and we tried to be a good and happy family for Mei. We had great times together for a few years...not until Alyssa started to act a little strange. She always checked my phone and accused me for cheating. I tried to fix our relationship but out marriage was falling apart. I had no other choice but to divorce her and leave her for good...though Mei didn't want that. I allowed Mei to go see her mother a few times...but...I should've known it was the biggest mistake I ever made" Sho said
"Did Mei get hurt by her mother?" Yuzu asked
"She told you?" Sho asked
"She only told me that her mother gave her cuts because of a few mistakes" Yuzu said
"Oh...that. Yes...Mei got harmed several times and she kept it a secret for years. Not until one day her grandfather found those cuts and immediately wanted answers. Of course Mei didn't say anything and her grandfather tried to figure out who. The first person that came to mind was Alyssa and the police began to investigate. What they found was something I couldn't believe...Alyssa had dead bodies hidden inside her house" Sho said
"I-inside?" Yuzu asked
"They were hidden inside the walls and floors..." Sho said
"Wh-what? And how many did she kill?" Yuzu asked
"Almost 100 victims were found dead at her place. She was sent to prison and to a hospital to get herself treated. She's crazy...and that affected Mei as well" Sho said
"Where were you when I all this happened?" Yuzu asked
"I was still at another country since I was traveling a lot. My father called and told me what happened. I instantly ran back to Mei but when I got there...I was too late" Sho said
"What do you mean by too late?" Yuzu asked
"It was too late to save her..." Sho said
Flashback
The 10 year old only stood there with a broken expression as her father stood in front of her
"M-mei..." Sho said. Mei only clenched her fists tightly and looked down
"Wh-what do you want?" Mei asked
"I came back for you. I heard what happened and immediately ran over here to get you" Sho said
"Get me? What for?" Mei asked
"Mei lets escape this miserable place. I'll take you to other cool places" Sho said. Mei only stood there in silence
"Mei please...I don't want you to suffer anymore. I'll make it up to you. Please trust me on this Mei..." Sho said as he reached out his hands. Mei teared up and glared at him
"I want mom..." Mei said
"Wh-what?" Sho asked as he trembled
"Mom was the only person who truly cared for me. At least she wanted to see me everyday..." Mei said as she cried
"M-mei...what are you saying? Your mother is crazy! Look what she'd done to you!" Sho said
"But you left me! You only cared to help other children but not your own daughter! I've seen those pictures you sent me and I see kids like me smiling and having fun! I wanted to feel that same love from you but you never came back! I had no one but mom! Mom may have been a crazy person who was doing bad things but she cared for me and loved me! All I wanted was to feel loved and cared! I wanted to be with papa but he never came back to get me! I want mama back!" Mei cried
"M-mei...I'm sorry!" Sho said as he walked up to her with tears rolling down his cheeks but Mei pushed him
"Don't you dare touch me...you're not my dad. You will never be my dad..." Mei said as she glared at him before running away to her room crying
"M-mei..." Sho mumbled and looked down trembling. He felt a tap on his shoulder seeing his father
"Let it go Sho. Besides Mei will understand soon. But I do have to admit...you failed as a father. All because you couldn't take care of the Academy. You were always pathetic Sho...it's best if you just leave. She's in good hands now since that psycho bitch is locked up for good" His father said and walked away. Sho only stood there and trembled while tears rolled down his cheeks

"We did talk a few times but...I could tell that she hates me. Deep down...she's hurt and broken" Sho said
"...so that's what happened" Yuzu said as she looked down
"Yes...it was pretty rough. Especially after...the other incident..." Sho said
"What incident?" Yuzu asked
"She was...raped..." Sho said as his voice cracked and clenched his fists tightly
"R-raped?" Yuzu asked
"Some bastards appeared and Mei...M-mei..." Sho mumbled before he started crying. Yuzu wrapped her arms around him as she hugged him
"It'll be okay papa..." Yuzu said
"I-I just wish...I could st-start all over and b-be a better father for her...Mei never d-deserved to go through that" Sho said. Yuzu only looked down and sighed deeply

Suddenly the door opened and Mei stepped in. Her eyes widen see her father and clenched her fists tightly gritting her teeth
"M-mei you're back!" Yuzu said as she stood up from the couch
"Yes...I had a talk with our grandfather. Apparently they found a suspect and are now investigating him..." Mei said and removed her shoes
"Huh? You mean...they found the culprit?" Yuzu asked
"Yes. I believe he is the most wanted around here since he is a sick pedo who has fun with both boys and girls" Mei said as she looked down but in the inside Mei was happy. Finally the case was closed and she had nothing to worry about
"Mei I-"
Mei left heading to her room. Sho sighed deeply as he looked down
"I'll try to talk to Mei about it" Yuzu said
"No...it's fine. I have to go anyways" Sho said as he stood up
"What? You're leaving?" Yuzu asked
"Yes. I must...get back to work. I need to catch the train..." Sho said and started walking away heading to the door
"W-wait dad!" Yuzu said as she ran up to him
"Yuzu I'm happy that you want to try and help but...it's best if I leave. Mei will never forgive me for that...and I understand" Sho said
"B-but maybe there is a way for you two to finally work things out" Yuzu said
"Yuzu...please take good care of Mei for me. You seem like the only person able to help Mei..." Sho said and patted her head softly. Yuzu only stood there and watch Sho leave. Yuzu sighed deeply and looked at the door
"Mei..." Yuzu said and walked up to the door
"Mei?" Yuzu asked. Mei only opened the door and peeked out the door
"Yes Onee-chan?" Mei asked
"What the hell was that?" Yuzu asked
"Nothing" Mei said and smiled
"Mei we must talk" Yuzu said sternly
"Hm? Okay Onee-chan" Mei said and wrapped her arms around Yuzu pulling her into a kiss. Yuzu's eyes widen and blushed deeply
Mei!? What the hell is wrong with you!?
"M-mmmph!" Yuzu exclaimed and pushed Mei away
"What's wrong Onee-chan?" Mei asked and giggled
"Mei why are you acting like this? Is this because of your past? Your mother? That incident?" Yuzu asked. Mei's eyes widen and trembled as flashbacks began to appear in her head
"Mama...is this okay?"
"Why...did you leave?"

"Let me go! Please!"
"Mei!" Yuzu said as she shook her. Mei only laughed a little and looked at Yuzu
"M-mei?" Yuzu asked
"Yuzu...do you love me?" Mei asked
"Wh-what?" Yuzu asked
"Do you need me?" Mei asked as she pinned her against the wall
"M-mei wait!" Yuzu said. Mei bit down on her neck and pressed her body against hers

"You have to believe me. He isn't the culprit!" Himeko said raising her voice
"Himeko-san please calm down..." Shiraho said as she touched her shoulder
"Ma'am please calm down and keep your voice down" The officer said as he glared at her. Himeko only clenched her fists tightly and glared at him
"I must talk to your Chief. I know who killed Kenia Kouske" Himeko said
"Ma'am let us professionals deal with this" The officer said
"At least tell your Chief about this" Himeko said
"Hey what's going on?" Another officer asked a he looked at the girls
"They keep talking about finding the true killer or something like that..." The officer said
"Let me deal with them" He said
"Thanks Kanno" The officer said and walked away. Kanno sighed and looked at the girl
I better try to kick this girl out or else Shai is going to kill me...I can't fail her now
"Now mind telling me what's going on?" Kanno asked as he looked at the girl
"We would like to talk to your Chief" The Taniguchi spoke as she glared at the officer
"We know the true culprit who started all this" Himeko said
"Do you have any proof?" Kanno asked as he raised an eyebrow
"N-not right now bu-"
"Then stop wasting our time and go home kid. We're trying to work here" Kanno said and turned around to leave
