Hinata pov.
I stayed calm as we jumped from bubble to bubble leaving Toneri behind as he preferred.
I glanced with my byakugan at Sakura and Naruto behind me.
My years old crush was at its end, never having even had the chance to start. It was my fault, I was to scared, to shy, to make him understand that my love was more then that of friends. I was to confident in thinking he would understand and we would at least try it out. I was deluded in thinking that I would eventually get chance.
Naruto after all this time still had eyes for Sakura only.
Her eyes emotionally told me that she felt bad at how things turned out. And that hit a feeling in me that is very rare, Anger. Her eyes showed how sorry she was when she didn't have to. Everyone already knew after all.
You cannot after all force feelings on someone, feelings don't just appear out of the blue, it takes time. And after so much time, I should have known that if he never once looked at me in that way, it just wouldn't magically happen.
"Finally let's go home!" I turned to Hanabi who was smiling eagerly at the exit up ahead. I only nodded and sped up my pace as everything around us was falling apart. A perfect scene of how my feelings for the only boy I have cared about , and silently cheered on for in the background, for years was collapsing and and breaking apart inside my heart.
I was the first to jump out of the water along with everyone else only 2 who were missing were the couple. But we didn't need to wait long as Naruto emerged with Sakura in his arms flying up in the air.
I looked away as they smiled and kissed sweetly, that image now forever burned inside my mind.
They looked perfect, my heart ached and throbbed from the pain it was feeling. I felt the moment my throat started to clogged up and my eyes instantly wanted to burn and shed tears.
I turned around and jumped from being startled, my eyes widened only a fraction at seeing the lone Uchiha. I had not sensed his presence, a quick reminder if his skills. He had been looking up at the sky along with everyone else as the couple finally landed on the ground.
He stood beside Hanabi and I.
Sasuke Uchiha was clad in an oversized poncho, black pants, a headband, and boots. Simple yet extremely noticeable. Yet again anything he wore would be noticeable or he himself would still stand out. He was Sasuke Uchiha after all, and that alone called for a lot of controversy, and attention.
When his eyes connected to mine I froze, finally noticing I had openly been staring at him in a trance. I quickly look away hoping he wouldn't get offended at me staring.
"You should probably go see how the head of the Hyuga is doing." His voice was gruff a no questions asked type of tone.
I instantly looked up at what he said, i turned to Hanabi who had already taken of first. Her reaction quicker then mine.
I nodded at him and turned away jumping into the trees and running towards the village.
I didn't bother to turn back again, if I had I would have seen how his eyes never left my figure even after I had disappeared from sight.
Not from any likeliness or a sudden crush, he was just trying to remember my name. He had been sent to collect us as he was the fastest, he was asked to tell the Hyuga sisters first and then tell the other four to rest up before coming back. Unless one of them was seriously injured.
But I didn't bother to turn back at my friends, my mind consumed with my father and village on how they fared.
Sasuke POV
I glanced away from the Hyuga girls and turned as Naruto and Sakura came running towards me. Naruto had a huge grin on his face while Sakura looked away as she was being pulled by Naruto. Her eyes glancing everywhere but towards me.
I wanted to roll my eyes all of that display of affection displayed just seconds before seeming like they had been more for show with the way she looked guiltily.
There was no need for any of that I never intended to go along with her childish affections, the fact that she had only loved me for my looks irritated me.
I nodded at them and turned to leave. Trying to make a quick escape, I had more important things to do. I had already wasted enough time coming back to the leaf while I had a tight schedule as is.
"Sasuke was- wait! Won't you stay now?." Narutos obnoxious voice screamed out.
"No." I simply answered with ought bothering to pause in any of my movements.
I jumped on the tree branch and frowned as 3 anbus surrounded me. I was starting to regret even having come to help. I squinted my eyes from irritation. Of course you could hardly tell with the bandanna covering most of my face.
"Uchiha the Hokage needs to speak with you." the leader spoke up. The way his hand twitched from wanting to grab his kunai made me believe that they were more ready for a fight than to talk.
"And if I don't go back willingly." I said
At that all the Anbus stood up at alert they were already accumulating chakra.
"Sasuke don't!!" Narutos tone a warning that irritated me even more.
An Anbu threw a scroll at me and I easily caught it in mid air. I unsealed it quickly wanting it to be over already.
" Sasuke before you get all rilled up and disappear once again, there is someone you have to meet. Your nephew."
I frowned at this stupid joke. But I closed my eyes controlling my rage. Kakashi may be full of stupidness, but I've got a feeling this isn't one of his stupid pranks.
But how? It's not possible. He was to sick. To have children, wasn't he? Maybe Konoha was being deceived.
I burned the scroll in my hand and watched it turn to ash. I waved my hand getting rid of the ashes and started to walk back to the village. I could feel everyone questioning on why I had gave up so easily with ought a fight.
Truthfully I wanted an excuse to stay in an inn for a moment to bathe. If this was some type of joke from Kakashi, Konoha will be needing a new Hokage, once I'm done with him.
I gritted my teeth. I had things to do. I wasn't finished just yet. Things that needed to be done before anything else.
no ones pov.
Hinata smiled as Hanabi talked and talked to their father that was laying on the hospital bed. He had been mad at having to stay there but at the moment he had no choice as there was much to do and more injured then healthy around.
After the countless pieces of moon that had fallen there were many left with no home and many with missing loved once.
All of the nations had been working together to finish quicker.
Hinata walked of as Hanabi kept talking about what had happened that night she was taken. Hiashi noticed but looked away raising a brow at his younger daughter as she talked about how she felt while having no eyes.
Hinata walked down the corridor as many medics ran and power walked by her. She went to the small garden beside the hospital that had a bench and a Sakura tree to shade the spot.
She stopped when she saw a small child look up at her and blush while frowning.
His onyx eyes accessing her silently.
Hinata smiled and nodded at the small boy he looked around 3/4 years old.
She squatted down and looked around for someone running around in panic looking for the child. She frowned as she didn't see anyone like that. It just wasn't in her nature to leave the small child unattended not knowing when his parent would find him or if they were even alive with what had recently transpired.
"Pretty eyes." the small child said and Hinata gently smiled.
Hinata looked into bright onyx eyes that didn't once blink as they stared at her. She smiled kindly and put her hand out for the child to grab and he instantly did.
"Thank you! What's your name? Do you know where your parents are?" she said softly.
"They up." His tiny hand pointed towards the sky and Hinatas face softened even more. Thinking that they had unfortunately passed away due to the Toneris attack.
Before Hinata could open her mouth an Anbu appeared. It's cat mask hiding their face.
"Boy don't disappear again. Come on." The anbus intent was to grab his hand but instead he grabbed air as the small boy dodged the contact and hid behind Hinata grabbing fist fulls of her shirt.
Hinata blushed wildly as her shirt was pulled down slightly showing cleavage she'd rather no one see.
"No." the small boy stated firmly.
"Boy-." the anbu said with irritation in his voice.
"No!" the boy said before the anbu could start his sentence.
The Anbu gritted his teeth. (Stupid brat) he thought.
The Anbu used his swift movements and quickly caught the child and started to stroll away nonchalant as the boy kicked and screamed.
Hinata bit her lip and ran towards the Anbu. Even though she knew it wasn't right to interfere something in her told her to intervene.
"If I may, maybe I can just come along so he can be calm, he seems calm around me."
The Anbu stared at the Hyuga and quickly thrusted the struggling toddler into her hands. He had enough of the struggling child and dealing with him was another mission on its own. One he had not been assigned to do.
The small child instantly calmed down and sniffled while small tears ran down his face. He grabbed onto hinata as if his life depended on it.
Hinata smiled and wiped his tears with her thumb.
"Now now we will follow the nice Cat-san, Ne?" Hinata said making her voice even gentler.
The small boy's eyes looked away and then back at her with a small nod. He moved to stand on his feet while grabbing her hand.
Hinata nodded and waited for the Anbu to start walking, the Anbu frowned. For two years the child had hated anyone and everyone and he instantly likes her all of a sudden.
It wasn't bad it just irritated him, the boy had been a handful to every single anbu assigned to him, he was known to be easily calmed.
The anbu decided to not give it much thought at the moment. he turned away from the lady Hyuga and the little brat and started walking.
I KNOW ITS NOT OK FOR ME TO START A NEW STORY WHEN I HAVE MORE UNFINISHED BUT I JUST COULDN'T HELP MYSELF!!!! 😍😬
