Chapter Nine
Thea's P.O.V
I ziplined my way back across the city to the Ferris Air site. When I arrived, all I saw was a crowd of supersuits around one particular spot.
Shit.
I was supposed to bring a medic. What was going on?
I pushed my through the crowd and saw Barry leant over Caitlin, who was lifelessly staring up. The only sign of life was the tears which trickled down her cheeks.
A green, ivy-like, veiny pattern spread up her arm. Suddenly, her chest raised and fell panicked and rapidly. She was obviously in pain. Barry's face turned red and he was turning red from the amount he'd been crying.
Barry's face lit up. An idea.
"Cisco, breach to the Tannhauser building and get Caitlin's Mom, Carla," Barry looked up.
Cisco nodded and did so.
A breach opened and Cisco jumped through alone.
"We're taking her there, there's more equipment."
Barry picked up Caitlin bridal style and in my head I was thinking 'They are so cute! Are they a couple yet?'
Tannhauser Building
Caitlin was brought to a gurney. Her mother pressed a button and spoke into a microphone.
"Jackie, get Samantha to my office pronto," she said.
Her mother took one look at the suits and scoffed. "Of course my daughter is friends with superheroes . Sometimes I just wish she'd stay here like her sister!" Her mother whined.
"Hey!" I said stepping forward, "Her work and research is incredible, and aren't you forgetting she's dying?!"
The Green pattern rushed up Caitlin's neck and a lonely tear fell.
"Give me the equipment and tell me what to do!" I stepped forward and she handed me a syringe.
"That will sterilise her until Samantha arrives."
I took the syringe and injected the serum into Caitlin's neck.
"A sample!" Oliver said, "Take a sample of the poison!" A light bulb had just clicked in his head.
I put the empty syringe in part of the pattern and pulled out a clear green liquid which immediately turned purple.
"Ugh, I think I'm gonna be sick," I muttered.
A girl, who looked similar to Caitlin came in.
"What's up?" she asked and then saw Caitlin and us, a bunch of superheroes. Realization began to dawn on the young woman's face. "What did you do to her?" she yelled at Carla.
"Ask them, Samantha!" Carla pointed to us.
Samantha began pacing around the room, muttering to herself, "Anti-toxin," She muttered, "She needs Anti-Toxin."
I looked away to Caitlin and then saw Sam with a huge needle.
The virus reached Caitlin's eyes and temple. She yelled in pain as the Iris's of her eyes turned a marble green/purple.
Samantha switched the needle for a medical gun.
She put the gun to Caitlin's temple pressing the blue led button. Caitlin took a deep breath and I winced.
Samantha stepped back, as if admiring her work.
"Do you know Caitlin?" Barry asked.
Samantha nodded, a lone tear falling down her cheek. "She's my sister."
Barry nodded to her response.
"Speaking of which," Samantha said, standing up, "Why is my sister in a cult?"
From beside Barry, a moaning could be heard.
"Barry," Caitlin said, reaching out for him.
Barry grabbed Caitlin's hand, softly rubbing it. "Caitlin?" He asked.
Caitlin's eyes slowly turned white. "Don't let Caity die," Killer Frost told Barry.
"My sister is Killer Frost?!" Samantha yelled in shock.
Barry slowly lead Samantha out of the room, his cowl still pulled over his head.
"She's the youngest, and she gets to be a meta?" Sam whined.
Barry nodded. "Caitlin didn't choose to have her powers, she would stop at nothing to get rid of them. She knows the risks."
"Has she ever been, y'know, kidnapped or hurt?" Samantha asked, worried for her sister.
Barry looked down. "She almost speared me through the chest. But that's not important," He said, "We need your help making sure no one has to go through that with any other metas."
Samantha looked to the wall, "I remember watching the news when Captain Cold took her. And nobody should have to go through that. I'm in," She smiled.
Barry returned the smile from under his cowl.
"Keep a watch on Caitlin. She can be reckless," Samantha told Barry.

"Hey," Oliver whispered in my ear, "It's great to have you back, but Where's Roy?"
"He left," I said blankly, trying my best to show the least possible emotion. "And he's not coming back anytime soon."
"His loss," Oliver smiles sympathetically.
I quietly ducked out of the room and called Roy.
