Chapter 10
Unknown's PoV
There he was, sitting with his friends having breakfast, his fiancée on his lap as they cuddled together completely unaware of what the future was going to bring. Of what I was going to bring. I waited for the right moment and stepped out from the seating area just as Calum cracked a smile and looked in my direction. My heart sped up as I waited, yearned for him to see me again for the first time in years. To see me looking like this.
Of course I'd put together the perfect airport outfit; heeled boots, skinny jeans with large rips in them and a cute crop top, showing off my toned stomach and hourglass figure. He'd be eating out of my hand in no time. I sauntered down towards him, his eyes finally laying on me. I offered him a cheeky smile as his eyes connected with mine, widening as they realised who I was. He looked away in an instant before looking back over again, double checking that I wasn't a mirage he'd been dreaming of but the real deal. Yes, hunny, I'm back.
Confidently, I walked straight over to the table, not afraid to look my competition in the eye as everyone's gaze fell on me, most of them looking disappointed or angry. Who cared what the rest of the band thought? I was here for one man only, and he was still staring at me.
"It can't be." He mumbled as his eyes drunk me in, my body feeling hot under his intense gaze. "Naomi?"
"Hey Calum. Long time no see." Everyone else exchanged odd glances, especially the new girl who had no idea who I was. I ignored them all, nothing mattered other than my boyfriend.
"W-what are you doing here?" He could barely string a sentence together and as he looked at his other band mates, they tried to warn him off speaking to me, their glares enough to send shivers down most people's spines, but I seemed to be immune.
"I'm off on holiday, sweetie. How about you? Touring again?" I tried to play it cool, as if I hadn't spent a while searching up everything to do with them. He nodded, swallowing heavily.
"Yeah, we're off to Italy." I pretended to be shocked as I slapped my hand over my mouth and let out a shocked gasp.
"Oh my goodness no way! That's where I'm heading! Who knew?" Ashton's eyes narrowed at me, figuring me out within a second. Calum just let out an awkward laugh. "We should totally meet up if you get a spare moment." I was suddenly acutely aware of the new girl's stare as she tried to work me out. Was I a friend or a foe? Hunny, for you I'm about to be your worst nightmare. "Oh where are my manners. I don't believe we've met. I'm Naomi, one of Calum's... friends." I held my hand out to the new girl who hesitated before she took it, offering a soft shake.
"Ex." Ashton corrected me and no sooner had the word left his lips, new girl pulled her hand from mine as if I was diseased.
"We can still be friends, Ashton. A concept I don't seem to think you understand." The insult rolled off my tongue smoothly, like a sweet shot of alcohol with a nasty burning aftertaste.
"That's it. I'm out." Ashton stood up quickly, grabbing his things as him and his girlfriend left the table, followed quickly by Luke, Sierra, Michael and Crystal. I was already nearly at my first goal point, having time alone with Calum. I just needed to get rid of the new girl. The tannoy quickly came to life, the echoing voices informing us that the gate for our flight was finally open. The rest of the gang seemed to wait further ahead for the remaining couple, new girl torn whether she should stay with Calum or head off with the others.
"It was nice seeing you, Naomi. We'd better be off." Calum stood up with her, putting his arm around her waist. My eyes burned holes in his arm for touching her instead of me. This should be my life.
"Of course." I smiled politely. "A hug for old time's sake?" New girl's jaw dropped at my forward request, her eyes pleading with Calum to say no and leave but I knew he wouldn't listen. Just as he was before, he was under my spell. I could tell that, despite having eyes only for his fiancée, he now had me too. It didn't take much, just a small interaction, but I knew he was hooked again, the same way he was all those years ago.
"Sure." He shrugged, letting go of new girl to throw his arms around me. I clung onto him tightly, breathing him in the same way he was with me. I pushed my body closer to him, causing him to let out a breathy gasp. He slowly and dare I say reluctantly let go and moved himself away from me, his eyes locked on me how they had been before.
"Take care, Calum. See you soon." I kissed him on the cheek. New girl straightened where she stood, not wanting to cause a scene but still not liking what I'd done. "I'll text you." Confidently, I strode away with my hips wiggling as I walked, a smile plastered on my face. I'd done it. Step one of my plan was complete. He remembered me, he thought about me. I was now something that was going to be implanted in his mind. He'd think about me, about us, our passion and fire and he'd want it back. He'd leave that new girl in a shot for a second chance with me. I just needed to set the bait. Before the end of the week, he'd be in my hotel room loving me, not her. Oh how she was going to fall. No more would she be Calum's fiancée, she'd be his forgotten memory.
