Kissing Erin was so addicting, especially when she's sober. I could literally feel her attraction towards me and I was so happy that even after so many years, she's still attracted to me.

I know I cowered when I realized I kissed her when she's completely in her senses. But when I thought of how she clung on to me and moaned my name it made me realize that I did not fucked up, that I was finally manning up to take the risk.

However, I was not yet ready to tell anyone except of course my two best friends. Also, I didn't have a plan either so, let's just go with the flow.

But Alex? How was that son of a bitch not yet giving up? And of course, Erin. Why was she still entertaining him? She even agreed to be his date tonight at Ardhan Sherate's Charity Gala.

Does she liked him though? If she does, I didn't know what will I do.

"Zac, are you okay?" I heard Sam asked me when the two businessmen I forgot the name of, left us to mingle with other invitees.

"Huh? Yeah, I am." I said to her but honestly, I wasn't. I was actually waiting and looking for Erin and Alex if they have already arrived or not.

"Are you sure? You seem so uptight. If you want to go home just tell me, man." Sam commented and I smiled at her.

"Seriously, you 'man' me?" I asked her in disbelief.

"Yup. What's wrong with that? It's not like you didn't know my secret." She winked at me and I chuckled.

"I am still in shocked though." I commented and she laughed.

"You'll get used to it." She replied. I smiled and placed my arm around her waist.

Sam's a well-known supermodel in the country. She's also this year's highest paid model in the world. Almost every men worships her, even straight women actually, has a 'girl crush' with her.

However, no one knew her secret except me and her girlfriend. Yup, that's right, you read it right, girlfriend. She's a lesbian, her girlfriend is Neil's sister, Shay.

I accidentally saw them making out in Neil's library when he had a welcome house party last year. I asked Sam why won't she come out but she just told me that it'll greatly affect her career and that both of them, Shay and her, were not yet ready to tell everyone that they're not straight. So, I promised to them that their secret was safe to me.

This was the reason why I chose her to be my date tonight. She won't be like other girls that will stick on to me like leech and would think that something will happen tonight.

Also, my main concern tonight was Erin. I initially didn't think of attending this event but when she refused to be my date and told me that she's Alex's date, it made me attend this boring gala.

Now, where are they? Don't tell me they're not attending tonight? Well, I would want that actually, it would mean that something happened and Erin cancelled the night.

Yes. I hope it's like that... But it wasn't.

Alex was the first one I saw entered the ballroom then Erin. I saw him placed his hand on her back and it started the raging fire in me. However, it instantly extinguished when I saw how sophisticated Erin was tonight.

Unlike any other women in this gala, she's the most pure looking woman tonight. That one sleeved black long gown made her look like a real goddess. She didn't have to put effort in glamming up because she didn't need to, she's perfect as she is.

Everytime I see her, her beauty always catches my attention and I was always in awe of it. For years, I've been controlling myself but since the night I kissed her when I took her home drunk from the club, it instantly became hard for me to distance myself from her.

Even if I buried myself to work, her face appeared and the memories of her and I making out instantly clouded my brain. And then, out of nowhere, I was claiming her mine and this urge to rip Alex away from her was killing me inside.

His arm that was placed around her waist, I so wanted to break it. That's why all throughout the night, I watched them so that if ever he tried to advance towards her, I would immediately beat the shit put of him.

So when Erin excused herself in the middle of the program, I followed her towards the pool and watched her. I know it's kinda creepy but it's dangerous for her to be outside all alone. But when I couldn't control it anymore, my feet dragged me towards her.

I stood behind her and when she turned around, she bumped into me and I caught her immediately by snaking my arm around her waist.

She looked up at me and instantly widened her eyes when she saw me. She gently pushed me away from her but nuh-uh, my princess, not a chance.

"I'm okay now. Ease get off of me." She said refusing to look into my eyes so I placed my other arm around her waist to cage her as well as embrace her.

"Zac, please. I told you to..." I couldn't control myself anymore and leaned forward to kiss her but when I heard the emcee announcing that the auction will be starting, I controlled myself again not to kiss her.

That's when she looked into my eyes. Her green eyes were wide and alluring that can make anyone go on their knees. Just like a goddess. And too bad, the one's enjoying tonight was Alex. It brought up the anger I was controlling since I saw them entered and mingled around as if they're in a fucking relationship.

"If someone sees us, they would think that there's something going on between us." She whispered softly and it made my insides churned because of the tone she used.

This was why I was attracted to her, she's gentle and shy with a mixture of boldness and intelligence. Unlike the women I had affairs with, they always annoyingly confident about their body. That when you talked to them there's a little to no chance that your conversation has substance.

"Let them think whatever they want to think, Erin. And I doubt that anyone will see us because the auction has already started. Everyone in this even are boasting about their fortune through that." I said in irritation because didn't she want to be seen with me? Didn't she want other people to see us? Why? Did she like to be seen with Alex?

She pushed me again but I tightened my embrace around her.

"Zac, come on, if your sister sees us, I don't think---" oh yeah, Olivia. She's here, she's right though. If she sees us, I don't know what will I explain to her. So, I gave a brief kiss on Erin's lips and took a step back smiling.

I've been meaning to do that even though it was short but it was still fulfilling.

"I will see you later, Erin." I said and walked towards the ballroom. Oh, I forgot to tell her something.

"And you looked stunning tonight." I smiled and winked at her then proceeded to walk inside smiling widely.

When I saw her came in, I followed her with my eyes until she sat on her chair.

As soon as she sat down, Alex put his hand on his back and leaned to her and whispered something. Then, as I was glaring holes to his hand, Erin held his arm and leaned on to his face so closely.

What the actual fuck! Since when they became this close? I growled lowly when I saw Alex rested her arm on the Erin's chair.

"Brother, this is the first time I attended an event with you." Olivia leaned her head on to my shoulder.

I ignored her and shrugged my shoulder for her to remove her head.

"Geez, what's up your ass? Since I saw you, you were not in a good mood." She told me and pushed my shoulder slightly with her hand.

"Stop it." I said to her and she just smiled widely.

"Stop your face." She retorted.

"Niccolo, can you do something about her?" I asked Nick instead and he just shrugged.

"Sorry buddy, I can't." He smiled and placed his arm around Olivia's shoulder the pulled her towards him.

I shook my head and Giulia Sherate went up the stage to announce something about the twist of the auction.

Apparently they asked 10 random people here in the venue to give out names, which also was invited to the venue, that will be auctioned and bid upon. The highest bidder will have a one-day date with them.

What a childish twist, if you ask me.

"You better not be in that list." I heard Nick said to Olivia.

If she was in that list, I would participate in bidding on her so that no one, except Niccolo would ever get a date with my sister.

But I trust Nick that he will win the bid whatever happens if Olivia got auctioned.

"I know you'll do whatever it takes to win me, babe." She kissed him and snuggled on to his neck.

I just rolled my eyes and ignored their annoying acts to one another.

The highest bid was $30,000 placed on to Jonathan Shaknai, one of the partners in the biggest law firm in the country. Ladies went crazy on bidding on him.

Anyway, down to the last person. Whew! Last one and this gala will be done.

When Giulia announced the name of the last person to be auctioned, I froze and I just wanted to break that fucking spotlight that was focused on Erin.

Why the hell was she on the list? Who placed her name on that fucking list?

"... She's single and ready to mingle, according to Olivia North, her best friend and the one who actually provided her name tonight. So, Ms. McAfee, come on up."

I saw Erin held on to Alex's hand and it fuelled my anger more. So, I fisted my hand under the table.

I should've known, Olivia would definitely do this kinda of things.

"Why did you do that?" I gritted my teeth and asked my sister who's clapping happily.

"Because it's time for her to start dating again and it's fun." She said and smiled cheekily.

"It's not your fucking business, Olivia. Don't meddle in her life." I tried to control my tone but I couldn't.

"My intentions are good, Zac. It's high time for her to date anyone she likes. Besides, why are you against it?" She raised an eyebrow and I had a brief internal panic but I handled it well, I guess.

"Because, if you're not aware, your friend's being auctioned to the perverts around here. What if a pervert won the bid?" I gave reason to her.

"She won't be auctioned off to some pervy out there. Besides, Alex is here. I am 100% sure that he will be the winner, right babe?" She asked Nick and he then hummed a yes.

"But..."

"If you're so against it, then bid on her for God's sake. Don't be such a bummer, Zac. Oh, there she is." She clapped and focused her gaze on to Erin who's standing so beautifully like a goddess in front of us.

What. The. Fuck.

I very well knew that a lot of men out here would bid on to her. Geez. What would I do? I can't bid on her, Olivia would know I was attracted at her friend.

Think, Zachary, think. Come on you moron, think. There were a lot of men bidding on her.

Fucking shit! The bid hasn't stopped yet. It reached up to hundred grand. Alex was consistent on bidding on her.

Fuck what should I do? What the fuck should I do?

Oh, proxy bidder. Yeah, I will bid on her. Jane, yeah, I will ask her to bid on her. Fuck, let me get my phone. No, not my phone, Olivia would notice.

Good thing I was lazy enough to change my apple watch awhile ago. Let me dial Jane's number here instead.

"$1million." The whole room fell silent when one of the proxy bidders announced it's bidder's amount.

No. No. No. Who's that fucker. Alex bid on her. Come on you dumbass. Try to stall the bidding please.

This whole auction was making me apeshit mad and nervous.

Jane what the fuck are you doing? Answer for goddamn sake.

"O-one million dollars by proxy bidder 1428. Going once..." Jane come on, answer my call. My palms were sweaty and cold now, please please olease answer my call.

"Going twice..." Jane come on!!!

Alex, you fucking nuts, bid, for God's sake.

Then, I had my downfall when I heard the emcee hit the gavel.

Too late, Zac. Too late.

"A one-day date with Ms. Erin McAfee was sold to bidder 1428."

I was enraged now. Who the fuck dared to bid a million on her? Whoever you are, I will fucking find you and give back your money.

Sam and Olivia clapped their hands together.

"I knew it!!! I knew it!!!" My sister exclaimed. Shut the fuck up, Olivia. Shut up or else I will super glue your mouth. This was all your fault.

When Erin took her sit, she hugged Alex twice and even gave him a kiss in the cheek.

You've got to be kidding me. I can kill someone tonight with this anger inside me.

This was the angriest I've been in my whole life.

"Zac, let's dance." Sam offered and I was about to refuse but she took my hand and forced me to stand up.

I wasn't going to but when I saw Erin and Alex went towards the dance floor, I let her lead the way.

I was watching them and boy I wanted to break Alex's arms. He has no rights to touch her. No one has the right to touch her except me.

"Cool down, Zachary." I heard Sam spoke. I furrowed my brows at her and she just smiled.

"I know you like Erin." She said when she saw the confusion in my face.

I cleared my throat to deny it.

"Huh? What are you talking about?" I asked her in feigned ignorance.

"I saw you the way you looked at her since they entered the venue. The pissing contest you and Alex had when they joined us. When she got out, I knew you'd follow her. And of course, the way you reacted when she's up in that stage. That's what I was talking about." She smirked at me.

"And don't try to deny it again. I am not dumb, asshole." She said and I sighed.

"Was that obvious?" I asked. I was tired of denying it.

"Yup." She popped the 'p' and I groaned.

"Shit. Then Olivia would probably noticed it." I said in panic.

"I don't think she noticed it. Your sister and Niccolo are way into each other to mind what you've been doing." She commented.

"You sure?"

"Totally."

I heaved another sigh.

"Sam, please keep this a secret." I pleaded and she smiled widely.

"You can count on me, Zac. But if you like her, why don't you ask her out?" She asked me and I shook my head.

"It's not that easy." I said to her. I was not yet ready to tell her everything, it's more than enough that she knows I am into Erin.

"Yup. It wasn't always that easy. Anyway, good luck though." She said and as if on cue, the music stopped. We then went to our seats and as I looked into Erin and Alex's place, they were gone.

Erin's clutch was not on the table.

Oh geez. Did they leave already?

"Brother, since Erin and Alex had already left, me and Nick are also leaving now. Bye." She hugged me then hugged Sam as well.

Nick then gave me a man hug.

"Take care of my sister." I reminded him.

"I will." He answered and then they walked towards the exit.

I wasn't worried about Olivia because I know Nick will take care of her and won't take advantage of her. What I was worrying was Erin. What if Alex take advantage of her again?

No. I won't let that happen. So I took Sam's hand and told her that we're calling it a night.

I drove her home and went straight to Erin's apartment.

As I got into her floor, I rang the doorbell repeatedly so that if ever Alex was there, he knew that someone's at the door and stopped whatever he will try to do to her.

"Zac, go home, it's late." I heard Erin's voice through the intercom. I glared af the camera and asked her to open the door. She was adamant not to open it but I was mad as hell and would fucking do everything just for her to open this fucking divider.

As she opened it, I immediately kissed her roughly, I poured my anger and stress in that kiss. She tried to push me away but I deepened the kiss even more.

Then, when she kissed me back, I remembered how beautiful she was in her gown awhile ago. It gave me such a hard time to control myself awhile ago.

I picked up her legs and she immediately circled it around my torso. Oh God, it's made me turn on even more. The way she kissed me tonight was making me turn on. I can feel that she's wanted to do this.

When I was short of breath, I shifted from his lips to her neck and through that, I earned a moan from her.

I didn't know how but somehow, I ended up settling on her couch while she straddled me. And immediately she took the lead. She tugged my hair so I can look at her. And all I was thinking was how I want to continue what we're doing and the feelings I have to her.

Then she kissed me again with the same fervor as before. I was enjoying her lead and my hand slipped inside her pyjama shirt and roamed all over her bare back.

I got hard when I realized that she's not wearing anything underneath this silk pyjamas she's wearing.

Then, all of a sudden, she got up and went to thr furthest side of her living room.

I stood up and saw how disheveled she was from our kiss.

"This is wrong! Everything is so wrong!" She raised her voice.

"Erin." I tried to take a step towards her but she stopped me. I was going to say thay nothing's wrong but she spoke again.

"Stop right there, Zac. Just stop right there." Oh she's mad now. Her eyes were full of anger now.

"I don't know why you're doing all of this! I just want to sleep peacefully tonight! Can you please stop?! I don't know what is going on now and I couldn't even control it!" She continued.

Me too! I don't even know how to control myself now, Erin. I just want to tell her that but my pride got the best of me. So I told her and blamed about defying my warnings. I even asked her if she and Alex were dating.

Geez. I sounded like a jealous asshole.

"Zac, why can't you understand that whatever I do in my life, it's not your fucking business, you're just my best friend's brother!"

What? Who told her that I was just his best friend's brother? That status was fit for Jowee, because I was her best friend's brother. But for her, I fucking am not. If I see her as Livy's best friend, I won't come to her apartment to make out with her! For God's sake, woman, admit to yourself that we're more than that!

And who told her that it's not my fucking business? She's my fucking business.

I saw how tired and beat she was so I heaved a sigh and decided to call it a night.

I stood in front of her and cupped her cheeks.

"You are my business and I am not just your best friend's brother." I gave a peck on her lips and smiled.

"Sleep and take a rest now, Erin." I added and kissed her forehead before I exited her apartment.

I'm so sorry Erin for disrupting your peace of mind, but I hope that you get it now. That I see myself as more than Olivia's brother when it comes to you.
