I'd like to take a short moment to dedicate this chapter to a few people who everyone should check out.

Waking up early it was nine am and it was time to load Rens car up with a few last minute items. It was finally time for Ren to go to college. But it also was way to early in the morning to get dressed so I remained in my pajamas. Headed down stairs I saw my brother and mom carrying boxes out the kitchen. So being the good sister I was I picked up some of the boxes and helped. After Rens car was packed it sunk in my big brother was leaving for college. My brother was going to be a good three to four hours away. I think it hit mom too because as we stood outside in front of his car I looked over at her and her eyes were tearing up. God dammit if she cries I'm lose it I just know it. Ren smiled at us and we all went in for a big hug.

Ren "Love you guys, if you need me or anything call me or text me ok?"

Mom slightly crying and laughing all at once said "You know that's my line right." we all laughed. After Ren said his goodbyes to us and left mom and I held each other for a while. Its going to be so weird not having him around all the time. We were both still tired but mom had to go to work at the publicist building today. So before I headed to bed I kissed mom on the cheek gave her a hug and wished her a good day. After that it was off to bed for me cause I was hella tired. There is just one thing though I never thought I'd sleep till four pm. Waking up it was time to make sone sort of commitment. By that I mean a shower and a change of pajamas because till mom gets home its gonna be a me kind of day. After ordering pizza, tidying up my room, and a shower it was almost six when the door bell rang. It must be the pizza rushing down the stairs I opened the front door. But it wasn't pizza it was Derek and to be honest after his whole mucho guy act yesterday. Ren and him being all besties all of a sudden. An a hell of a lot of other things I really wasn't in the mood for anything more then pizza.

"What do you want?" I asked aggravated.

Derek "Is Ren around?"

"No, your butt buddy isn't home. He left this morning for college."

Derek "Oh.."

"Yeah so night." I slammed the door shut on him. The door bell rang shortly afterwards. So again I opened the front door.

"Listen Derek I'm sorry I was a little bitchy..."

Pizza girl "Is this the right address??" she asked confused.

"Yes it is and I'm sorry thought you were someone else." After taking the pizza box and paying I walked into the kitchen. I don't need a dumb boy I have Pizza. Pizza wont act like a douchebag or judge me. I got some Dr pepper and a plate with some pizza and made my way to the couch and sat down. My phone chimed after turning the tv and cable box on I looked at my phone to see it was mom.

Mom: Late night tonight of editing won't be home till late love you :)

Me: Its fine mom I ordered pizza love you :)

After looking for a good twenty minutes for a good movie I finally settled. I had chose to watch lights out I'm a strong independent woman I could handle a scary movie. I popped some extra butter popcorn drizzled it with a little hot sauce. With my popcorn bowel and a fluffy blanket I sat on the big couch and pressed play. The house in the movie power went out and the boy had to go in the basement to turn it back on. The movies music got really spooky and quite. So I prepped myself for a jump scare. The boy flipped all the switches before he realized he was pretty much fucked. As he turned around slowly and thankfully nothing was there. There was no jump scare I sighed in relief. Then out of the blue the boy was tossed and the door to the basement slammed with a echo. I jumped but lucky I didn't lose my popcorn. The boy in the movie look scared and he frantically was hitting his flashlight in a effort to get it to turn on. When he finally got it to turn on boom there was a big shadowy like figure with claw like talons and a disfigured white face. I jumped and screamed. That's when my houses power went out and everything in me was screaming why me?? I don't even know where are fuse box is one and two I did not like how I was home alone. Using my phone as a flash like I looked in the laundry room for the breaker box or a fuse box and found nothing. I tried texting mom and got no answer so I decided to go up to my room to wait for moms reply. We had no basement so I had no idea wherever it would be. Lighting a candle on my desk I looked out my bedroom widow that looked towards the woods. That's when I saw a dark silhouette hovering and waving at me. I was scared like really freaking scared. Like why me? What did I do? That's when there was a knock on my front door.

Looking back out my window above my desk the figure was gone. But it was now pouring down rain outside not to mention the lighting and thunder too. Grabbing my candle from the desk I made it walked into my small walk in closet and selected Rens old baseball bat. I gave myself a pep talk in my head before exiting my room walking down the hall and then the stairs. Again there was a pounding knock on the front door. Set the candle down on the decorative table mom has by the door. I tightened my right hand around the bat tightly and began to open the door with my left. An I sighed a relief realizing it wasn't a killer or psycho. I was pretty surprised to see Nora at my door specially when I didn't remember telling her where I lived. She stood there on porch in front of the door in a black jacket. She had baggy gray sweat pants on and fuzzy black uggs. She smiled at me and asked to come in which I told her she could. After letting Nora in I shut the door.

"So what brings you hear?"

Nora "Well I wanted to stop by and check on you since Raven heard something."

"What do you mean heard something?"

Nora "Well I guess a group of drifters are in town this week. They like to cause trouble specially in and around the woods. So it might seem odd but just a heads up me and him as well as the wolfs will most likely be out patrolling."

"So you and Raven are going to be babysitting me at night? My mom Amy is a werewolf I'm sure ill be fine Nora. Thank you for being there if I need you guys."

Nora "Well yeah that's what friends do one and two I'm not gonna stalk you around Ava. If you need other then to hangout all ya gotta do is shoot me a text if something is up."

"Okay so you wanna hangout?"

Nora "I cant tonight cause its my night to patrol around we can hangout tomorrow though."

"Sounds like a date" I said with a laughed.

Nora "Ya it would be but unfortunately Ava your not my type." she said with a slow smirk and a laugh with it too.

"Dammit well at least I tired" which made us both burst out laughing. I just knew me and Nora were going to be best friends. Nora smiled at me gave me a hug and left. After shutting the door and grasping my candle I headed for the kitchen. Opending up the fridge I grabbed a slice of pizza and closed the fridge door. Glancing over at the dinning room I noticed the french doors that led to the patio were broke. For fuck sakes I thought to myself can nothing go right tonight. I mean seriously it must of been a fuck with Ava night. I looked on the kitchen island and realized how much of a dumb ass I really was. Well fuck I left the bat in front of the door. An as fate has it that's when I heard what sounded like someone broke something upstairs. So I grabbed a knife and my candle all while thinking about what would be the best option. We only had one car since Ren was at college but mom had it. Oh my phone so I texted Derek, Raven, and Nora all the same text.

Me: I think I'm in trouble guys some one is in the house please come help.

After texts those three I decided to creep to the garage to get a flash light and new weapon. When I made it to the garage I hear shuffling upstairs in the guest room which was above the garage. After finding a flash light and no better weapon then my kitchen knife is when I heard a mans voice.

Intruder "So I hear your down stairs then. Guess ill have to pay you a visit then sweety."

I took a hard swallow on my own spit and rushed for the garage door button. Fuck this shit no no no not today not tonight not ever! I refuse to deal with a fucking creep! I made it to the button which was when I realized I could just go out the garage side door. I really need to learn to be less stupid. I heard running so I ran out the side door. And of course Derek was calling answering and running with a kitchen knife was kinda hard.

Derek "Are you ok??? Do you need anything?? Whats wrong??" he asked.

"To answer your dumb questions no, yes, and I'm being chased so help please."

And Derek hung up on me and I was running the wrong direction which was towards the woods. I was about to change direction when out of no where Raven landed in front of me. I dropped the knife tripped on dirt and fell into his chest with a thud. He simply wrapped an arm around my waist preventing me from falling. Looking around he seemed to me trying to sense what or I was running from. He looked down into my eyes placing one hand on my waist to keep me steady and with his other hand he put some of my hair behind my ear.

Raven "First off are you ok? Because your shaking really bad, shivering, and you were running with a knife?" he said with a knife like as in a question.

"I'm fine other being shaken up a little. So fucking creep broke in and was looking around up stairs. He heard me down stairs and after I was trying to leave he ran down stairs and chased me outside. Well at least I thought he did I don't know tonights been really creepy." My breathing began to become more rapid my chest tightened my hands were shaking. Is this what a panicked attack was like? I thought to myself. Raven wrapped his arms around me and started to rub the small of my back.

Raven "Take it easy its going to be ok I don't think the pervert or whatever is even around anymore. Everything is going to be ok. I got you Ava lets just get you inside where its warm."

I tried to talk but it was really hard to so I gave up and walked with Raven back into the house. Raven was looking around the dinning room mostly at the door that got broke. I decided to go to the kitchen where I found a piece of paper. It was folded into a square and written in red it said I know what you did and where you live. Unfolding the note and turning it around is when I realized it was more a letter I started to read it. As I read it heart began to beat rapidly my chest tightened and i began to breath fast. Hands shaking and held the letter tight. The cabinets began to slam and shake. I felt dizzy and tried to steady myself by placing my hand on the island. Raven was there quickly he picked me up and sat me on the island.

Raven "Ava you have to calm down I know its hard right now focus on me and my voice. Its okay no one is going to harm you Ava I promise."

Still more and more things began to shake I felt so dizzy. I felt as if i was riding a carousel that was going way to fast. My vision began to blur my chest still felt tight my breathing was still uncontrollable. Raven tilted my chin up and looked me in the eyes before he crashed his lips into mine. I felt a jolt of what felt like pickling electricity being shot through my me. My lips were tingly as I kissed him back everything stopped shaking around us. He cradled my face with one hand and had one arm wrapped around my waist pulling to the edge of the counter into his chest. That's when I could fight the dizziness and how tired I had suddenly became I passed out Raven the for the second time which sucked.
