Waking up was dreadful but I tried to make the most of it. Nora had me up at five in the morning. She said it was important for me to make a good first impression on my fellow classmates. Which I found that ridiculous but I didn't tell Nora that if course. Nora was the first one to use the bathroom and get changed for school. When she came out of the bathroom she look gorgeous. Her plum hair was curled as to look like natural curls. She wore a black lacey vintage dress with dark black sparkling converse shoes. She also was wearing a beanie. Her outfit was supper cute. It wasn't too girly and it was kinda tomboyish. Her make was on point also which was perfect for her gray eyes. She had a soft smokey eye pared with some lip gloss and mascara. Nora then proceeded to tell me to head in the bathroom and get ready while she raided my closet for me.

Nora "You just go wash your face and stuff while I find you something to wear in your closet." she said as she walked into my closet.

"ok" I said as I walked into the bathroom.

I washed my face, brushed my hair, and brushed my teeth all while Nora was setting me a outfit out to wear. I came out and into my bedroom to find a cute outfit out for me on my bed. My gray lacey black shorts, a flowy maroon shirt with a V neck and a lacy black tank top to go under it. She also laid out a pair of my maroon Vans. She knew how to dress me and my style. I grabbed the outfit and went to change in my bathroom and put perfume and deodorant on. When a I came out Nora was smiling.

Nora "Damn girl, how did you get so fine?" she winked and smiled at me.

"Well you could say I get by with a little help from my friends." I laughed.

Nora "Well now that your dressed lets do you make up!!" she said with excitement.

"Ok" I said with a smile as Nora led me to the bathroom and made me sit on the counter.

Nora "Girl you need a vanity like badly."

"I don't know about that. I have desk which would of been more comfortable to do this there."

Nora "True"

Nora lightly curled my hair after she straighted it. She said she was trying to give me a little volume in my hair. Then she moved on to my make up. When she was finished she let me get down to look in the mirror. I looked and saw long lushes lashes, eye liner on my water line, a winged eye liner, paired with a light smokey gray eye shadow and some neutral lip gloss. I looked hot like spooking hot. I thought to myself about how awesome it would be to have a sister.

Nora "Well girly I got you from pretty to smoking hot real fast. I'm so excited for you to meet my friends today! They are going to love you!"

"I'm excited to meet them too!! An you think I look smoking hot?"

Nora "Yes of course I do! And I feel proud that I helped you with your transformation to." she smiled.

"So you ready for school?" I asked as I grabbed my back pack.

Nora "Hells ya I'm ready!! An also hungry." she said as her stomach growled loudly.

"I dont think normal stomachs growl like that Nora." I said laughing.

Nora "Well I cant help it, the beast has awoken." she said laughing.

"Than lets feed it so can go back to being quite."

We headed down stairs together and made it to the fridge. I searched for anything and everything to sooth Noras hunger.

Nora "I found cereal." she said as she waved it in the air before placing it on the counter to look for a bowel.

"So just cereal then?" I asked.

Nora "I'm a simple girl who can be happy with some frosted flakes from time to time. But to answer your question yeah." she said smiling as she found to bowels in the cabinet.

"Ill get the milk" I told her while looking in the fridge I found the milk quickly and laid it on the counter.

Nora and I ate are cereal happily and her stomach was no longer growling. We successfully quited the raging beast also known as Noras stomach.

"I thought you were supposed eat first then brush are teeth?" I said laughing.

Nora "No one bothers doing that besides its a old wise tale any way."

"Nora but what about orange juice?"

Nora "Best to drink that before you brush or else suffer" she said with a smile.

After putting our bowels in the dish washer and me grabbing my book bag we headed out the front door. We climbed into Noras car. She stared it up and turned on the radio. We buckled up before she took off down the road.

We arrived at the high school. Nora parked the car in the student sectioned parking lot. She parked her car next to what she said was Ravens car a black spider sports car. We walked into the school. I was surprised at how big and modern it was. Everything was going pretty good. Nora helped me get my schedule fixed. By fixed I mean she changed it so I had every class with her and that my new locker would be by hers. She wanted to keep a eye on me. After the scheduled fix we went to my locker which again was right next to hers. She helped me organize my locker and told me which classes would be first. Right before of course came a some preppy girl whom kept giving me dirty looks and dagger eyes. That was before she walked over to us. Nora noticed the small framed blonde green eyed girl coming are way too.

Blonde "So is she your new girl friend then?" she asked bluntly.

Nora "Maybe, whats it to you anyway. Last time I checked that's none of your business right? So go bother someone else." she said with angrily.

As this was happening wonder how I went from being Nora's best friend to being suddenly involved with two women in a love triangle.

Blonde "You could do so much better then some witch Nora." she said smirking.

Nora "Ava is very special to me cause shes hot but in all honesty Avery she's mine and two why don't you go be a jealous ex some where else." she said with a smirk.

I couldn't believe blonde was Nora's ex considering it seemed like they weren't really to compatible to begin with. And did Nora call me hot?? And why would Avery be jealous of me?? I was hella confused and stunned to say the least and it was only my first day of school.

Avery "If she's your girl friend and she is so hot then why don't you kiss her then to prove it and ill leave you alone?"

Nora "Ok if it will get you to leave us alone." she smirked at Avery before looking into my eyes.

Nora held my cheek with her one hand and with her free arm she wrapped it around my waist. Pulling me in closer she kissed my lips softly and our lips parted slowly. Nora stopped shortly after hearing Avery clear her throat out.

Nora "There satisfied I can do far better then you Avery now go bother some one else already."

Avery left in a huff while I was still dumb founded at the kiss Nora had given me. Day on of school and I'm already involved in drama.

"So were dating now?" I asked Nora in confusion as she gathered her things for first classes.

Nora "Not really Ava, but I just cant stand Avery she has been picking on me lately. Ever since I broke up with her she has been assuming every girl is my girlfriend. She is a very self centered everything had to be about her always and she didn't get along with mom or Raven. Not only that I found out she was cheating on me with a girl from a different high school thing was that wasn't the first time she did that either."

"I'm sorry Nora I didn't know she was that bad. Ill gladly be your fake girlfriend if it means she leaves you alone."

Nora "Thanks Ava but that shouldn't be a problem now. I'm sure she will leave us alone now. Besides if Raven finds out I kissed you to avoid Avery he might kill me."

"Yeah lets just try to keep it between us then." I said laughing.

Nora "And we shall definitely keep it between us pinky swear?" she reached out with her pinky out.

"Pinky promise" I said as we locked pinkys.

My classes went by fairly quickly for the both of us and now it was lunch time. After selecting some pizza, a caesar salad, and some vitamin water. I was ready to follow Nora was tray had a cob salad with chicken on it and a bottle of blood?. I was confused but then again it was a supernatural high school after all. Following Nora I saw a group of girls staring at us. I tried to read there mind and listen in on them with my power but I couldn't. Nora must of noticed and she told me to stop before I hurt myself. We pulled up and sat down at a big round cafeteria table. There were four people sitting there. There were two guys one was Raven of course. The other two were girls. The boys were busy talking and eating. The girls stopped talking to great me.

The girls "Hi Ava its so nice to meet you."

Nora "The red head name is Clover and the brown haired girl is named willow. Clover is a witch and Willow is a werewolf also they are cousins. As for the guy that's busy talking to Raven his name is Spade and he's a vampire. Were actually missing one today his name is Nixon."

She had a large group of friends and all of then were all kinds of different. Clover had fair skin as for her red hair it had pretty curls. She also had a nicely framed face and pretty sparkly green eyes. Willow had dark coffee skin and brown wavy hair. She had pretty hazel eyes. Spade had piercing blue eyes and chestnut hair.

Willow "So how are you like it so far?" she asked smiling.

"Its not to bad actually I'm really starting to like it here."

Clover "I'm glad to her that"

Willow "I don't know if Nora told you or not but I'm having a slumber party saturday if you want to come you can."

"She hasn't but I'd love to go so count me in."

Clover "Will see yeah later Ava make sure to add our numbers to her phone Nora." she said as her and Willow got up to leave.

Nora "I will see you guys later."

I looked over at the guys who were still laughing and talking amongst them selves. I noticed Spade looking off every so often at a cute guy who was sitting at a table with Derek and what I assumed to be a pack of wolves. I nudged Nora to try and get her attention.

Nora "What?"

"Who's that guy Spade keeps looking at?"

Nora "His name is Eric and Spade has a crush on him. But Eric doesn't know that yet."

"So Spade is gay?"

Nora "Well not really Spade is bi actually just like I am. And to inform you about everyone else Raven is straight, Clover is straight, Willow is straight, and Nixon is straight. And also as far as I know currently the girls both have boyfriends. The rest of us are all single."

"Well ok"

Nora "I assume your just straight right?"

"As far as I know yes."

Spade "That's funny cause a little birdy told us other wise earlier today."

Nora "What do you mean?"

Raven "I heard that you and Ava are thing today and that you two kissed in the hall. So what happened you two?"

And just like that I was busted and so was Nora how the hell was I going to explain.

Raven "You know the least you could of done was told me you two liked each other." he said flustered and confused.

Spade "Come on give them a chance to explain man. We did hear this from that bitch Avery so I'm sure there is a explanation for it."

Raven "Fine then explain then."

Nora "I kissed Ava its not her fault and I did it to get Avery off my back and to leave us alone. An also I don't have a thing for Ava she is gorgeous but she like a sister to me. Also I'm sorry Ava but your a pretty bad at fake kissing."

Raven "She kissed you back??"

Nora "Yeah but it was very faked and forced."

Raven "Well of course it was faked and forced cause you don't know how to kiss Ava."

Spade "And you do Raven?" he asked laughing.

Raven "As a mater of fact I would cause I've kissed her plenty of times."

Nora "Yeah like twice." she laughed.

Spade "Oh shit Nora just roasted your ass."

Raven "Yeah but you only got to kiss her once so ha."

Spade "That's not something to brag about really dude just stop cause now your roasting yourself." he said laughing hard.

Nora and Raven soon broke out in laughter I soon joined in with them.

Spade "Well I for one am a fan of you Ava I hope you stick around."

"Don't worry I plan on it."

You could say my first day of school was a eventful day for me. But it was also one if the best days I've had all week. Nora and I jammed out on my way home. She decided not to spend the night again but told me to text her anytime before she left waved at me as I entered the front door. After I was inside I went to the kitchen and placed my book bag on the counter. I walked over to the house phone and saw that there was one missed message. I pressed the play button but I wasn't prepared for what happened next.

Voice mail: "Hello this is Amy Knights doctor calling to inform you that she is under stable condition at this time. We got the bleeding to stop but I'm sorry to tell you that she is currently in a coma like state."

My heart sank in my chest my eyes flooded with tears as my chest tightened. Mom was in a coma..
