My eyes began to water tears fell down my face. I wiped at the tears with my flannel shirt corner. Nora then reached to the side and opened the glove box. Reaching in she retrieved some napkins and handed them to me. She returned to the steering wheel after turning the radio on and sang along.

Nora "I'm gonna pick up the pieces and build a Lego house. When things go wrong we can knock it down. My three words have two meanings. There's one thing on my mind, it's all for you." she sang softly.

I wiped at my tears with a napkin, why did bad things have to happened to me. Why did they have to happen now. Staring out the passenger side window. I hope mom will get better. I hope she isn't in worse shape.

Nora "And it's dark in a cold december, but I've got ya to keep me warm. And if you're broken I'll mend ya. And keep you sheltered from the storm that's raging on now." she sang sweetly.

"I'm out of touch, I'm out of love.
I'll pick you up when you're getting down. And out of all these things I've done I think I love you better now." I sang along with Nora.

We sang till the song was over. The station was on a commercial break. I finally was able to stop crying. My eyes were sore from crying. Luckily we should be at my house soon. Then I can hide in my room.

Nora "Do you want to take the long way or short way?"

"The short way is fine, I'm ready to go to bed already."

Nora "Short way it is then. But I have question."

"Whats your question?"

Nora "I know its bad timing and all but I was wondering if you would be up for a sleep over? I could help you get ready tomorrow for school."

"Yeah you can sleep over at my house. I'm not sure what Ren has planned though."

Nora "Awesome! Cause I already have my bag packed and in the car." she laughed.

"Nora your always trying to stay a step a head aren't you? I'm so glad were friends. I honestly haven't been able to have real friends till I met you both well that and Derek. I feel so close to all of you."

Nora "Aw!! Your going to make me blush. I'm happy to have you as a friend Nora. Lets just hope the boys will be happy with you being just friends with them." she smiled.

"What do you mean?"

Nora "Were here, and ill explain later. We don't want the sensitive ears to hear us." she said as she pulled into the drive way and parked.

Nora got out of the car and went to receive her over night bag. While I got out the car and headed inside and met with Ren.

Ren "Is Nora staying the night too?" he asked puzzled.

"Yes she and what and what do you mean by that?" I asked confused.

Ren "I ask cause Raven and Derek haven't left yet. Derek has a pack meeting tonight so I assume he will be leaving here soon."

Speaking of Derek he came in a huff up the hall then past us and out the door angrily.

"Why was he so pissed?" I asked surprised.

Ren "I'm not to sure, I wouldn't worry about it. Its probably nothing, I just hope it wasn't anything too major."

Ren left the room and went down the hall towards the living room and kitchen. Nora walked in through the font door with her duffle bag in hand.

Nora "Sorry I had to call mom and let her know whats going on. She said it was alright but to male sure Raven went home so she could talk to him."

"Well he's still here, he is in the living room with Ren. Derek left in a huff though did he talk with you?"

Nora "No he didn't say any thing. I notice he seemed mad but I didn't ask him why that was. I'm head upstairs to your room Ava."

Nora smiled at me then walked past me and began climbing the stairs up. I heard Ren and Raven talking. I tried to ease drop but wasn't having the best if luck so far at it. Moving closer to the hall trying not to be notice I tried to listen in.

Raven "I'd love to fill you in on me and Derek's conversation earlier but mom wants me home to talk so I gotta go." he got up from the couch.

I walked further back so I wouldn't be seen but still carefully I listened in.

Ren "Why cant you just tell me why he was mad?" he asked with confusion.

Raven "Cause its not that simple, its a bit complicated. Why don't you just ask Derek if your so interested." he said before leaving.

I heard Raven's foot steps but I wasn't quick enough. Raven caught be ease dropping but he didn't say a word to me he just walked right passed me. Ren then soon came down the hall and shrugged as Raven left.

Ren "There is still chinese food in the fridge if you girls are hungry. I've had a long day I'm going to bed."

"Ren its only six"

Ren "Does it matter I have classes early tomorrow if I'm going to make them I'm need sleep. Look just don't stay up to late you have school tomorrow too. Just letting you know a head of time I probably wont be home till late since I'm going to be driving back and forth. If Nora ends up staying more then tonight just let me know a head of time."

"Ok I wont stay up late."

Ren "Night sis."

"Night"

Ren went off and up to bed as Nora came down the stairs in pajamas. My stomach growled signaling that I was hungry. I was surprised when I heard Nora's stomach growl. We laughed and headed to the kitchen. I opened the fridge and proceeded to heat up the Chinese leftovers. After the food had been heated up I made my self a plate and so did Nora.

"So you don't just drink blood you can eat solid foods?"

Nora "Well yeah I'm only half vampire I can eat food and not get sick from it. I could drink blood and that would fill me up faster but I chose not to really drink blood. Drinking blood isn't really completely necessary for me or Raven to live." she said smiling.

"So what your like Ren you have a high metabolism and require bigger portions of food?" I asked as I sat down at the island.

Nora "Pretty much really I mean sometimes I crave blood. But that's no different then someone craving chocolate." she sat down at the island next to me.

"So are there any other mixed race supernatural?"

Nora "I would think so just probably not as many as we think though. Some families still frown on the idea of mix breeding"

We began to eat dinner after that we put our plates in the dish washer and headed up to my room. I still wanted to know what Nora meant earlier. I went to the bathroom to change into pajamas and wash my face. I came out of the bathroom to see Nora setting up the twin sized air mattress that was in my closet.

"What did you mean earlier today about Derek and Raven?"

Nora "Nothing really." she said as she blew the mattress up carefully.

"It must mean something just please tell me."

Nora"Fine alright, I just kinda of feel like they both have crushes on you is all. I wouldn't think to much about it though cause I'm no love expert by any means." she shrugged.

"Oh, so what do you think happened between the boys then?"

Nora "Probably some stupid bet or something I'm not sure. Both boys and girls can be confusing. I'm just glad your more of a straight forward kind of girl." she said with smile after completely filling the air mattress.

"I'm so not ready for school tomorrow. Its going to be my first day and I'm nervous. Do you think my eyes will get me made fun of or the fact that I don't know what I am."

Nora "One that was deep and two I don't think you will get made fun of. You've got me, Raven, and Derek to look out for you. Honestly I doubt anyone will pick on you while your with me and my group of friends."

"But what if they do though?" I said as I climbed into my bed and tucked myself in.

Nora "Then I claim you as my wife and then they can suck it." she laughed as she curled up on the air mattress.

"Nora you are the best" I said laughing.

Nora "I know right! Its late we should get some sleep you had a long day." she said as she rolled on her side and covered up.

"Your right, night" I said as I slowly shut my eyes.

Nora "Night Ava."
