That morning I decide to not go to school. Ren who argued with me about it none stop before he realized it wasn't going to work. I of course became angry with him trying to force me to go.

Ren "Just cause moms in a coma like state doesn't mean you get out of school! Ava school is important highly important if I might add. I'm sure she won't be like this for long."

"You don't know that Ren."

Ren "What I do know is that your going to school one. Two tomorrow after school I'm taking you to see mom. Don't over react to something like this Ava. Moms not human so like I said she is fine."

"Your right Ren, I have been over reacting a little. But I'm still very upset and confused about it all."

Ren "And that's understandable"

"Before I forget I will be going to a sleep over saturday."

Ren "A slumber party with girls or girls and boys?" he asked concerned.

"Just girls as far as I'm aware of it will be just Nora, Willow, Clover, and I. Why?"

Ren "Cause I don't feel comfortable knowing my sister would be having a sleep over with both girls and boys."

"Ren I'm seventeen, I'm sure you can trust me enough to be safe. And please tell me your not trying to have the talk with me."

Ren "Well when a girl and a boy like each other very much they kiss each other and if they kiss to much it leads to wrestling. Now if you wrestle unprotected you will get knock up."

"Ren you cant be serious, a college student is explaining sex ed to a senior. And I thought the most you had to worry about in wrestling is athletes foot or a pulled muscle. " I said laughing. 

Ren "You do have a point, but just promise me when the time comes you will use protection and put a sock on your door or something." he replied laughing.

"I promise to be safe and to not bring guys home for the sex how does that sound?"

Ren "Sounds good to me. Now then do you have a boyfriend I should know about then?" he said with a smirk.

"No boyfriend to report of as of now."

Ren "Good cause you have a date friday night with Derek." he said smirking as he left kitchen.

I went after him swiftly stunned and pretty confused. "What do you mean a date with Derek?" I asked confused as I confronted him.

Ren "Lets just say I sort of owe him one and your going on a date with him friday and leave it at that."

"That's not how this works Ren thats not how any of this works."

Ren "Just take one for the team ok? I don't understand why its such a big deal anyway. Just do this for me please?" he pleaded.

"What do you get out it?"

Ren "Ill get a chance at joining a my first pack which will then get me closer to finding my mate. Please sis I've been doing them favors and if I get on Derek's good side Ill have a shot."

"Fine then ill do it but one day I'm going to ask you a weird favor and you will owe me got it?"

Ren "Got it sis and thank you. I gotta go see you maybe after school bye sis." he said as he left.

My phone went off I unlocked the screen and saw a message from Nora.

Nora: Pulling up now with Raven you ready?

Me: Yeah on my way out in a minute :)

Grabbing my back pack I took a deep breath and sighed. I'm crossing my fingers that today would be a clam day unlike yesterday. Walking out the front door I locked the door then headed to Noras passenger side and got in.

Nora "You look good today but you also look tired."

"I had kind of a rough night last night but I'm fine." I replied with a smile and hoped she wouldn't ask me more.

Raven "Hows your mom been?" he asked concerned.

Nora "Raven its pretty clear thats the last thing she wants to talk about right now so be a smart boy and shut up." she told him as she pulled out of the drive way and headed to the main road.

"Guys its fine its not a big deal she will heal and all. She currently in a coma like state. But Ren and I think its just her body trying to heal its self faster."

Nora "I'm sorry to hear that Ava and I'm sure things for you guys will get better." she said kindly.

Raven "Other then that hows it been?"

"Its been good I guess."

Raven "Uh that's good I guess."

Nora "Being your twin is hard sometimes. You really need to learn better people skills." she teased.

Raven "Its not my fault I'm not a very social person." he laughed.

"So what are we doing for gym today and history?"

Nora "Gym will be sparing today and history we will be doing group study."

"Sparing? I have no idea how to really fight."

Raven "We do sparing in small groups so you will fine. Besides its not really sparing its practicing at best really."

Nora "He right nothing to worry about."

"If you say so."

We arrived at school and we all began to exist the car. Nora was looking at her phone while Raven was doing the same. Nora and I waved are fair wells to Raven as we went to are lockers. After that we both headed to class together. English was boring because all we did was read short old story's. Math was confusing I didn't understand what the point was in proving why a shape was a shape. Next class was history where Nora, Willow, Clover, and I all were studying the history of witches.

"So males are not referred as warlocks?" I asked them.

Clover "Yes they are not to be referred as warlocks. They are witches and to be referred as such. Warlock is used to mark traitors so its pretty much a insult. And were not all bad everyone has a few bad apples."

Willow "And just like everyone else they can choose whatever religion they like it really doesn't matter. Just most of us believe in gods and goddesses." she shrugged.

Nora "We need to get after the bell rings so we can get changed for gym."

Willow "Hope you two have fun with that Clover and I have gym after lunch." she teased playfully.

Clover "Don't remind me I hate exercises."

The bell rang Nora and I got to are lockers and swapped are bags out for gym. We headed to the locker rooms and changed. We were both happy we were the first ones there to change. We headed into the gym. The floor gym floor was covered in thick soft mats. In the corner was a bin filled with fake swords, daggers, and bows with arrows.

"I thought we were practicing sparing?"

Nora "I thought so too will just have to wait and see. But for now lets sit and wait."

Other teens soon came in and sat down. Soon two young looking gym teachers came in. One male teacher who was bald dressed in dark colored work out sweets and a name tag that read Kent. An the other was a woman dressed in light bright work out capri pants and a long tee shirt with a name tag that Read Sam.

Kent "Alright class today we will be starting off with some stretching. After wards we will be moving on to some warm ups followed by some sparing."

Sam "We will be separating boys and girls for the first half then eventually we will be coming together for sparing. If you have any questions at any time coach Kent and I would be happy to help. Now girls come with me so we can start stretches and warm ups please." she said with a kind smile.

I partnered up with Nora and we followed the coach's orders for warm ups. Nora helped me stretch my legs and I did the same for her. I understand why the coach separated us now. Thinking about it the irony of helping Nora stretch when yesterday I was her pretend girl friend made me laugh.

Nora "Why are you laughing?" she said confused as we moved on to shoulder rolls.

"Just laughing at the irony of you helping me stretch when yesterday I was your fake girl friend." I said snickering.

Nora "That is ironic, to bad Raven is still mad at me about that." she said rolling her eyes.

"Still?"

Nora "He kinda is still but he wont say it I'm sure he will get over it though. I still owe yeah for that yesterday." she said laughing.

"Its what friends do you don't owe me anything. Just don't you know next time."

Nora "I promise I wont." she said smirking.

Sam "Alright girls were now gonna move onto practicing. Make sure you all have a partner and then we begin to spare are partners."

Nora and I partnered up and stood facing each other with some distance between us.

Sam "Good now get and a stance." she said as she walked around checking on everyone.

Nora got in a strong fighting stance and looked at me. "Ava you need to adjust you wanna be able to pivot your feet and hips. Your stance right now is to restricted."

"How do I adjust?" I asked confused I have never really fought before yet alone have been taught how to fight till today.

Nora came beside me and adjusted not only foot placement but also my hips. She kept doing this till she was satisfied that my stance was better. Afterwards she soon resumed her stance in front of me before the coach came over.

Coach Sam came over glancing at her clipboard before looking us over. "Good form ladies, I'm glad it appears we have no rookies in this class." she said with a smile as she moved back in front of the class.

Coach Sam "Glade to say you ladies are all in good stances. I will be silently watching and making notes. When I blow my whistle you will begin to spare. When I blow my whistle again you all will stop. Understand?"

We all said understood and nodded. Then we all heard the whistle and began to spare are partners. I was happy Nora was taking her time to teach and correct me as we went about sparing.

Nora "Now when you have distracted them and having them thinking you strike here and here." she showed me the major weak points.

Nora pinned me soon after I failed to register where she would be attacking from. I landed hard on the mats under us as she pinned me before getting up.

Nora "Again." she said.

We got in our stances again this time I payed more attention and tried to cheat a bit by reading into her mind. That didn't end well because I was unable to. My nose started to hurt so I quickly stopped. I was able to dodge her attacks and counter them successfully.

Nora "Good job Ava I knew you were a fighter." she said proudly with a smile.

"Thanks but its only because your a real good teacher." I smiled.

Nora "Well it helps when your good at adapting and learning fast."

Then Coach Sam blew her whistle and we all sat down to rest.

Coach Sam "Alright ladies good job you all rest for now while coach Kent brings over the guys. We will be doing one spare round co ed today. Beware that next week we will be having a Physical test that is required." she announced as Coach Kent stood next to her.

I looked over to the boys group and saw Derek staring at me. Once he saw that I caught on he quickly looked away at coach Kent. I rolled my eyes and scanned through the boys and saw that Raven was sitting with Spade and a other guy talking. Nora then nudged me to get my attention.

Nora "Well that's not weird, Derek keeps staring over at you and when he ever he catches Raven stealing glaces at you I think he's growling." she said stunned and confused.

"Its probably nothing really." I said shrugging it off.

Nora "I hope so cause alpha son or not Derek isn't one to usually growl at Raven. They aren't close friends or anything but its still weird."

I was going to reply to Nora but I wad cut off when the Coaches told us to pair up with a guy. Derek raced over to me and so did Raven. Raven walked passed Derek and I towards Nora. Nora looked shocked but nodded at Raven before they walked off. Leaving me with Derek.

Derek approached me smiling "You ready to spare?"

"Sure" I replied.

Derek and I began sparing but I was having no luck. I was fail to subdue him and he was succeeding. His success made him smile and a little confident to say the least.

Derek "I thought with you being Rens sister you would be a little tougher. That guy is pretty tough to say the least." he teased me.

"I'm getting there I'm not a complete wimp at least. Besides maybe you could do me a favor since your lame enough to have your pal Ren ask me."

Derek "One I only did that cause Raven has been getting in my way. Two whats the favor?"

"Will you talk your pack into letting Ren join you guys?"

Derek "Ill have a talk with my dad and see if it can be arranged."

"Also what do you mean by Raven.." I didn't get to finish the last part because Derek swept his leg under my feet and made me fall. I landed hard on the mat. My back making firm contact with the mat creating a smacking sound before my head soon followed. Derek then had me pinned he straddled over top of me his breathing was fast. My heart was racing as I felt prickles of currents rushing over my body. It tickled a little and I soon felt butterflies in my stomach. I tried hard not to blush and also to not show any signs of defeat. Derek smirked and laughed at me as he helped me stand with the help of his hand.

"So I'm guessing your not going to explain?" I asked a little mad.

Derek "Nope not gonna answer that one. Just know that ill text you when I'm on my way friday and that it will be sometime after school at like five." he said with a smirk.

"Fine and ok then but its not a real date I'm just doing this for Ren."

Derek "Trust me I'm convinced its just for Ren and not because you like me as much as I like you." he said sarcastically.

I was going to act iterated and respond but it was cut short by the coaches whistles.

Coach Kent "Alright class dismissed"

I went to turn around but Derek was gone. Raven and Nora began to approach me. Thing is Raven was the first one to speak not Nora. And boy did Raven look not only jealous but also mad.

Raven "So you have a date friday after school?" he asked bluntly.

"Yep" I quickly replied.

Raven "Good cause I hope your not busy Sunday cause were going on a date then." he said before storming off to the changing room.

Nora "I apologized for Raven acting a little egotistical. He is usually not like this but you know what they say jealously sometimes gets the best of us."

"Why would they fight over me though it makes no sense?" I asked confused as Nora and I headed into the locker room to change.

Nora "Raven has been crushing on you for a while now. He just wanted to give you sometime first to warm up to him and let you focus on your mom, school, and making friends. Which I agreed with that which is why I didn't say anything."

"So he pretty much is acting out cause Derek approached me first?"

Nora "Pretty and to be honest maybe that's what there argument was at the house was about." she said as we changed clothes.

"Well in that case I should just be happy I guess." I said sarcastically.

Nora "Lets just hope they don't fight to the death over this its just one date. They cant force you to do anything you don't want to and if either one of them gives you trouble I will personally kick both there asses."

"Thanks Nora your the best." I laughed.

Nora "No problem sister but I personally am shipping you and Raven. And I hope I wont gave to intervene like I had to with Willow and her now ex boyfriend. That guy was a douchebag."

After we were changed out of our gym clothes we made are way to our lockers. Finally it was time for lunch and my stomach was thankful.
