As soon as Dav and I walked into the school, side by side, there stood Greg and friends I had no idea he had. They drenched us with their water guns and I shivered as my boyfriend protectively stepped in front of me.

"Just stop!" I suddenly screamed, causing silence to surround me in the densely populated hallway. "That's enough! We can't let this go on forever. By this point, I don't really care what anyone thinks of me. Two people are dead! Why? Because of bullying.

"This needs to stop. We need to stop inflicting this pain upon ourselves." I side-stepped Dav, fresh tears brewing in my eyes. "Haven't we all suffered enough? Greg, you lost two people you cared about. What's next? Do Dav and I have to jump off a bridge? Will that make you happy?

"Does it bring you joy to see tears in my eyes? Does in make you elated to see Dav, someone you used to be so close with, suffering? What did I do to deserve being hit by a car? I mean, I have no memory of the old Delanie West, but you're still bullying the new one. But, at least I'm not afraid to speak out."

Silence. Silence followed my speech, and a lump formed in my throat as I breathed heavily.

Greg shook his head, letting his water gun clatter to the ground.  Tears gathered in his own eyes, and he turned away, rushing down the hallway.

I felt dampness on my cheeks and turned to a dress the onlookers. "And, all of you? Do you think this is funny? Is other people's misery some form of entertainment to you?"

Shameful eyes diverted to the ground and I shook my head, leaning against Dav for support since my heavy emotions were weighing me down.

"That's all it takes. One unkind word, one rude gesture."

Clapping sounded around me, and I walked down the hallway. People parted to let me pass, and I swiped a hand under my moist eyes.

Maybe, for once, they'd get it.

That's the end! Well, sort of. There is still an epilogue. Thanks for all the support guys, I didn't think this story would get very far!
