Lucy's POV

Master rushes out of his office.

"What is the meaning of this?!" He yelled.

He looked around, examining his surroundings.

It was then he realized exactly what was happening.

The guild was facing an attack from Black Rose.

"Tread with caution... Lilith might be planning something from how we respond to this."

"I say we burn 'em all!" Natsu yells.

"What a man!" I hear Elfman reply.

Us fairies line up, looking straight to our opponents.

I was waiting.

Any moment now...

They took their step closer, and that's when we commenced our attack.

Wizards spread out, fighting across the guild.

Everyone charged into battle with such determination and pride for the guild.

It was to the point where those who weren't fighting were Master, Lior, and I.

I look at Lior with fierce eyes.

I wasn't going to go easy on him just because we used to be friends.

He was at Aunt Lilith's beck and call, and if he truly believed I would leave my family here to be with my aunt, he was surely twisted in his mind.

"Lucy, why don't you look around? Take in everything you can before this placed becomes level with the ground." Lior says, smirking.

We both put a foot forward, stepping closer to each other.

"I don't need to, because what you're implying is never going to happen."

I hear him chuckle sinisterly.

Who was this person standing in front of me?!

His face was so similar to that of someone I used to know... but this couldn't of been him.

"Don't doubt for a second that Black Rose won't finish off your little guild..."

"You don't doubt for a second that Fairy Tail is strong enough to beat you!" I respond.

We come face to face, about a foot away from each other.

We didn't speak for a small moment in time, the sounds of all kinds of magic echoing in the background.

"Deep down, I know the real you is still in there, Lior, and I know you think this entire situation is wrong..."

He just continues to smirk at me.

"Okay, enough talk, Lucy Heartfilia. I want to see what you're made of. Let's fight, shall we?"

I was hesitant at first.

I knew my friend was still there in his core, but maybe I had to force him out.

I look intensely into his green and silver eyes.

"You're on."

He instantaneously starts to form that same magic circle from the other day.

I could feel my nervousness arise, my chest tightening...

It didn't exactly seem like magic I wanted to mess with.

Still, I joined in on the fight, pulling out my gift from Virgo, a whip from the spirit world.

He stops.

"Why won't you use your true power?"

I knew what he meant by that, but there was no chance I'd use my dragon slayer magic.

"Just shut up and fight me!" I yell, launching my whip at him.

He deflects it with a shield of magic around his arm.

We begin to clash like those around us, everyone, except Master, engaged in a battle of their own.

We were already in a tight enough spot when the doors came crashing down.

Everyone slowed down their fighting to observe what had just happened.

To my surprise, my aunt stood there, smirking evilly.

"My my, Lior! What a fantastic job you've done!" She praised.

"Now we can finally finish off these fairies..."

My eyes filled with horror.

I couldn't believe she'd actually arrived, and for the first time in forever, I was seeing her face to face...

I'm finally satisfied with how this turned out!
