Gentle does the slumbering sorrows dig into the skin. Every mistake, every moment, if even for a fleeting second, reminded her of her fate.
She was destined to destroy the very thing she fought for. Because, no matter what, fate will always win.
So,she did what she felt she had to do. Her finality.
Following in the footsteps of the Herrscher of Reason, she opened a portal to another universe. A better one. For even though the Honkai disaster was over because of her, her very being could bring it about again.
By now, she had sent her regards to Raiden Mei and Bronya, as well as thanking the thirteen flame-chasers. It was time to go. Quickly. Her entire plan would be ruined when Mei came after her.
Mei... Would she have agreed to this plan if she had known? Surely, the letter has reached her now, and Kiana could envision the rush to find the hidden facility in the Quantum Sea.
The portal in front of her was menacing looking, and she had no idea what she would face on the other side. The swirling of blues, purples, and the glittery remains of stars shone brightly.
Here, the Herrscher of Finality ended her story. It was time to go.
The woman cautiously stepped through the portal, and was immediately startled by the sensations of falling.
She fell so rapidly that her white hair seemed to fling in front of her, and the flowers on her collarbone had their petals tearing off. She clutched onto them tightly, As the portal flew her through the seams of reality.
It was here she could see the branches of a divine universe tree. Leaves floated around her, and she saw different variations of herself and her friends.
She saw Himeko.
A more elegant version, riding in a train on the stars, smiling. A universe where Kiana had never met her. A better world. The goddess whispered good blessings to the universe in which Himeko lived on in. It was the least she could do, after what she had done to her.
Desperately getting away from the universe, the familiar grief flowing through her, she grabbed onto another leaf. It reflected to her a beautiful world, full of kindness.
And not a single person that looked like someone she used to know... right?
Kiana brought the leaf close to her heart, and felt herself being transported. In a singular instant, she was falling, heavy from gravity. The firmament showed a beautiful blue sky, and below her, she could see many diverse regions.
She was falling towards a jungle. With a soft smile and closed eyes, she let her body plummet, knowing she would be okay.
