Marco pov
I woke up to the sun coming through my Windows as I see Janna house next door. She's been my friend since we were little bit to mention she's the only that gotten me to do random and reckless things that I wouldn't even picture.

I got dressed and saw her waiting with Jackie, they smiled at me as they both messed up my hair "Come on Marco, so a new look for high school, don't you want to be noticed by the girls this year?" I move their hands away as I fixed my hair

"No thanks, I rather do good then go to summer school again..haven't you two learned?" They giggle and nod "Yeah, somewhat but hey we are doing way better in softball this year we can probably beat our rivals" "More or less"

Jackie said as she clung beside me "Sounds like you guys have everything worked out" "Of course I do, I want a scholarship so my parents don't have to pay for my college" I laughed along with Jackie "You actually want to go to college? Who are you and what have you done to Janna?"

She punched my shoulder which made me hiss in pain "Shut up loser! I'm trying to be new this year seeing its my chance to do something" I nod as we reached the school "Why do we always take the long way?" "Because it's nice quiet walk? Don't you think?"

Jackie said as she twirls in a circle as I watched "I guess" as I sigh I felt someone hold my shoulders "Hey! Guess I see you guys again" I rolled my eyes "Oskar I'm surprised you even allowed back in school" "Janna, I'm still a student" "Yeah barely, your a junior again..did summer school not help?"

They go back and forth as we entered. As we did I noticed a girl with her hair in two pigtails and was wearing black square glasses. She gasps and takes off, that was strange but I didn't pay any attention to it.

The whole day I kept to myself and did what I usually did and finished my homework before I left school grounds, knowing Janna and Jackie would ask to hang out along with Oskar but he was a player but who can blame him? He knew a couple things, he knows how to sing, play an instrument, looks decent no wonder girls swoon over him well..besides the senior Tom.

Janna has had a crush on him since he couched the girls softball team, she won't admit it but I knew by the way she looked at him like seeing color for the first time in her life. "Earth to Marco" I look up and see my friends "Oh hey guys" "Lets go, you have that karate thing"

"Janna I don't have practice today, it's on Tuesdays and Fridays and some weekends" she rolled her eyes "Then let's go I'm hungry and your paying" I groan as we all head to a cafe "you need to find your own money I can't keep paying for you"

"Oh shut up, you wouldn't say no to me" she held a smirk and I chuckled "That's kinda true" "Kinda? It's mostly true..besides Jackie is paying for herself and Oskar said he has a way of getting a free meal" I shake my head "You guys are so weird" Janna pinch my arm and I yell in pain "Ouch! Janna stop that hurts" she laughs as we take our seats and order.

After eating we all seprate to our homes well everyone except me and Janna, we stayed quiet and she seemed to have things running in her mind "Janna you okay?" She looks up at the sky and smiles "Never better, Hey Marco we're gonna be friends forever right?" I chuckled

"Of course why are you asking me?" "Just wanted to know" I gave her a look but shrugged it off as we made it home "Bye Marco see you tomorrow" I nodded as I saw rush towards her door and I walked slowly towards my empty house.

My parents are always travelling because of their job so I managed to stay alone and with comfort of Janna's parents as well. I didn't mind being alone but I missed the warmth that used to run through the house once and awhile.

As i finally get into bed my phone starts ringing and it's my mom. I quickly answer and smile "Mom..Yeah I'm fine" I missed hearing her soft voice and her cooking and her way of singing whenever she thought she was alone

"School went good..no still friends with the group..Yeah Mom" I wished she didn't have to travel so much "Okay mom, Love you too...bye" she hung up and I placed my phone down and looked at my window seeing Janna listening to music and drawing. Nothing changed I guess?

The next morning I waited by Janna, guess Jackie didn't show "Morning Janna" "Morning and if you ask where Jackie is she's at a doctor's appointment..she sprained her ankle from yesterday's practice" I nodded and we started walking as we did Janna was a little handsy

"Janna why are you wrapped around my waist?" She chuckles "Because your like tree and I can actually close you with my arms..your pretty skinny Marco" I groan and move her off "I'm not that skinny" "Yeah tell me when you actually start developing muscles before our senior year"

I chuckled "Whatever Janna..hey so have you talked to Tom?" Her face turned red and smacked my chest "Ouch! You really gotta stop hurting me! I just asked a question Janna" she sighs "No..I'm too nervous, I'm afraid that I'll mess up when he actually gives me time"

she was so in love with him but she wouldn't admit it to herself "Maybe this is your year? Tom is leaving soon right? To a new high school?" Janna nods feeling kinda sad about it "Yeah and I still get to tell him how I feel..I think I'll never tell him" I shake my head

"You girls are confusing" "We're confusing? You guys are, like what of guy likes eating nachos for lunch and dinner? That's not a real meal idiot" "Hey! The nachos I make are actually pretty tasty and actually full me up" she giggles "Sure Marco now come on"

Janna pulled me into the school and I see that girl with those glasses again and pigtails. As i look at her she runs off again just like yesterday "Marco?" I shake my head and run towards Janna "You okay?" I nodded looking back where that girl was "Yeah I'm fine thought I dropped something" Janna rolls her eyes and rambles as I thought about that girl?
