I know you all would be angry with me. But I'm really sorry for not updating and not replying for your messages. I'm in a miserable state. Don't think that always this author blabbering about her pathetic life. But yet I couldn't stop from sharing with u guys.

I'm frustrated and disappointed with what's happening with me. When I wish for stg, I will lose that thing eventually. This time also same thing happened. So I couldn't concentrate on anything properly. But finally today decided to write again. So this update for my lovely readers who makes me happy.....Also, if u like u can share if anything like this happened with you also...

Now we'll move to the story......

Still staying at his hold I turned my head and looked around the living room to see everyone was standing with the thunderstruck look. Not only them, even this was the first time I was listening to Karthik's loud voice against his father.

This time Aarohi's father was the one who broke the tension by starting the conversation from his side. " Karthik, what is this your behaviour? Even in dreams, we did not think you would act like this raising your voice on your father when your relations are around. I was silent the whole time because still I believed you though I saw those wedding pictures of yours through my own eyes. But after seeing you both are hugging like this in front of us without any shame and the way you acting with this orphan girl...."

" MAAMA (uncle).... That's enough. Hereafter I cannot tolerate the way you all call My Wife by cheap names. She is not an orphan, she has me...."

"Karthik, how did you mention her? That bitch as your wife?" Karthik's father asked with anger and astonishment.

" Yes, Appa. What you heard was right. You didn't hear anything mistakenly. " Karthik turned me towards Appa and putting his one hand over my shoulder, with a content smile he said " Appa, meet MY WIFE, Mrs. Kayal Karthik. Your one and only Marumagal (Daughter-in-law). " I looked at Karthik surprisingly with a palpitated heart. still, I couldn't believe Karthik revealed the truth himself and the way he mentioned me as his wife adjoining his name, in front of his family made my heart fluttered. I knew this was not the right time for my crazy feeling but I couldn't avoid it though.

" What the hell is this Krishnan? You know right , how ashamed I felt when my best friend sent these photos of your son's stupid marriage and asked hundreds of questions regarding my daughter's marriage. Me and my wife boasted everywhere about Karthik and how lucky we are to get a son-in-law like him. But everything collapsed when we saw those pictures."

Karthik went near to his uncle and told. " I am sorry to hear that uncle. But I'm not only the sole reason for this everything. From the start, I told my Appa that I didn't want this marriage now. But he was so adamant to listen to my opinions. Suddenly he told me that Aththai ( Aunty) and you were coming here to talk about marriage arrangements. At that moment I was confused and didn't get the time to solve my problems. But in private I talked with Appa to stop these arrangements. That time too he didn't listen to me.

But wrong is with me too mama. I was being a coward and couldn't confess my true feelings for Kayal to my father. I was afraid he would do something horrible to separate us because this was not the first time for him. I hurt my Kayal most of the time hiding our relationship to my family because of the mentality of my Appa.

That's why I married Kayal secretly because I can't lose my Kayal. Not in this life. Not ever. Believe me, I already planned to reveal the truth but luckily your friend reduced my tension by sending those pictures. "

" How dare you, Karthik. How dare you reason your disguisting deeds. How could you cheat me with this cheap girl? " Aarohi screamed at Karthik by pulling his shirt collar.

But Karthik was all cool and talked with her patiently " Aarohi, say one thing. Have I ever told you I Love You or have I ever promised you that I will marry you? Did I ever mislead you with my words? Or have I ever misbehaved with you which made you think that I am taking my rights on you?

If I am correct, I didn't have made even a proper conversation with you unless it was a family matter. Now tell me Aarohi, how could I cheat the person who's nothing to me." I saw Aarohi's grip loosened from Karthik's collar while her eyes were shedding more tears. She ran inside Kavya's room and the hurt was evident in her face. I knew it was hard to listen to the rejection from our loved ones. But we have to try to accept it. Otherwise, we would get more hurt at the end. No easy recovery from that heartbreak.

" What is this Anna( brother)? What is happening here? My husband and I came here with so much happiness to make decisions about my dear daughter's wedding but now everything has been ruined.

The sole reason for every problem is this bloody orphan girl who is standing here like an innocent and doesn't think even for a minute about the family who raised her without abandoning her like her own parents." Aarohi's mom shouted the last part pointing her finger towards me. When she talked about my parents and the way they left me, again reminded the reality of my pathetic life.

Why? Why my mom left me even not thinking about me for a second? Why did my father leave me, knowing that I'd be left alone without his presence? I Knew my father passed away due to his health complications. But he could have taken care of him if he considered me. Why did they leave me like this? Tears started rolling down my cheeks and suddenly I felt a cold touch in my cheek to see Karthik wiping my tears using his hands. When I looked at him, he shook his head slowly as if he was asking me to don't cry.

" Chi..... Anna, did you see how they are behaving like lovely Dovey couples in front of the elders without any shame? Still, I couldn't reciprocate the fact that this brainless son of yours broke my princess's heart for this ugly witch.

That's it, Anna...My Family and I don't want to spend one more second in this house where we don't have any respect. We are leaving for our home and soon take a wise decision and let us know. If that time, we are relieved we will discuss further about this matter." Saying this Aarohi's mom went to the guest room taking her husband's hand.

" Please ma, be patient. We will talk about this matter today itself and will make a good decision. I will rectify for my son's deed." Karthik's father went behind his sister trying to convince her.

She stopped on her track and turning back she showed her hand to her brother ✋️" Enough Anna. Please don't try to stop us from leaving. It's the correct decision. Because now it's your family matter. We don't like to interfere in that issue." She pressurised the word family when she was saying it and looked towards Karthik and me. Again diverting her attention to her brother she continued " So it would better you all together taking a wise decision without indulging us." And with that, she went inside the room.

Once they went inside, Karthik's father's attention turned towards us and gave a hard look which made me shiver thinking about his next move. Within a few minutes, Aarohi's parents came out from the room with their luggage and keeping them out again entered Kavya's room where their daughter was in and closed the door behind them.

No one knew what was happening inside, apart from listening to some sounds of things breaking and screaming. Kavya tensed and tried to move towards her room but was stopped by her father.

After a while all chaos ended and Aarohi's father walked out of the room following Aarohi's mom who was dragging out her daughter. Without saying anything collecting their luggage three of them started to leave but when they passed us, Aarohi halted her steps and looked and Karthik and said, " Karthik Aththan, you didn't understand the worth of me. I don't know what spell this bitch cast on you. But I have faith in my love. Soon you will see her true colours and get fed up with this ugly orphan and you know Aththan where to find me on that day." Her voice felt feeble when she said that to Karthik and her eyes filled with adoration for My Husband.

When her eyes turned to me I felt the sudden changes of emotions and it was so opposite to what she inherited a few seconds ago. Through her eyes one could understand how much hatred she had with me. She moved a little near to me and said, " Don't be happy and fly in high that you now got my Aththan in your clutch. Everything is for just some time. After that Karthik Aththan will be mine and you will be back to being orphan....." her venomous words cut off by Karthik's interruption.

" Aarohi enough, that's your limit... I was being silent doesn't mean I'm not reacting to it but I was just being patient because I didn't want to hurt you than this. But if you say one more word to My Wife I won't tolerate it hereafter. " Karthik said in a calm yet hard voice nearing to her face. Aarohi seemed taken aback by Karthik's words and on that cue Aarohi's mom dragged her out scolding her for unnecessary actions.

In a few seconds we heard the engine sound of the car and it gradually faded away from our presence. After their departure, the house seemed eerily calm which ignited the fear-filled anticipation of me. What's next?

I felt a warm touch and I looked down to see Karthik clasped his hand with mine and when I looked at him he gave me an assured nod like he understood my inner turmoil.

" Karthik I'm giving you one more chance. Think wisely and make a good decision. It is not only about you. It is about our family's reputation and especially think about your sister's future. What would happen if Mrs. Susila got to know about what happened here? Will she accept your sister as their daughter-in-law?

Also, how would our relatives and this society talk about this act ? They will talk ill about our family that a brother married his sister which is forbidden and disgusting." Karthik's father explained the situation to Karthik like he was explaining to a baby unlike how he screamed at me.

" Appa, please again don't mention Kayal and me as siblings. You know the actual truth. In fact you know, from my teenage I had some feelings for her. But you were adamant to accept it and sent me away from here. But you got me wrong when you thought that distancing me from Kayal would change my mind. Instead of that, my feelings for her rooted stronger in my heart and day by day it got deepened." I looked at Karthik shockingly when he uttered those words. I was being unknown towards his feelings until a few months before. I couldn't believe that he had feelings for me from his teenage. After the truth of Ryan, this was another shocking news for me. Really did he love me that much?

"And tell one thing Appa, did you ever try to make a proper conversation with me as a father and son to understand my feelings and thoughts? You were only doing what you want and like and you would implement it without regarding our wills.

That's why I took this decision for my sake Appa. I can't afford to lose Kayal and I also know that you won't accept Kayal as your daughter-in-law in this birth. I'm sorry for hurting your feelings by marrying Kayal secretly but I'm not sorry for marrying her.

So Appa, please don't think that I'll break my WIFE Kayal's heart to marry the girl with whom I'm not in love. Also, I will talk with Susila Aunty about my marriage and I hope that she will understand and I promise that there won't be any issues in my sister's marriage because of me. But I don't mind about this cynical society or our judgemental family members. I can't decide my future regarding other's opinions.

So this is my final decision Appa. Hope you will understand me. Maybe not today but soon. " Once Karthik finished his talking, his father's face changed into fury and he asked with finality," So, you are ready to go against us for this orphan bitch? Ahh?" He laughed venomously and continued to talk nearing me, "Wow, you have done an amazing job, Kayal. My son didn't have made any decision without telling me but now he's ready to sacrifice his family and their reputation for a cheap person like you."

He bent towards me and asked " What did you do to my son that he's talking against me? You both stopped only with the marriage or finished the first night also? How many nights you spread your legs to him that he became your puppet..."

" Appa.... That's enough. I think you didn't understand what I said. So I'm not going to waste my time here" Holding my hand Karthik started to move towards my room while I was crying listening to what Karthik's father asked me. Didn't he feel disgusted to talk like that to me? I knew that he didn't think of me as his daughter but all these years I was staying like a family with them. How could he able to spit that kind of words to me?

" Stop there...Where are you taking her inside? If you can't get rid of this bitch, you're not allowed to stay here too. And remember this too Karthik, you won't get a penny from my assets until you chase this cheap thing from your life. " Karthik's father threatened in a dangerous voice.

But Karthik smiled calmly and said, " That's fine Appa, I don't want a penny from what you have. I'm not greedy for money but for love. So I will leave from your home since I can't leave my wife." With that Karthik dragged me inside the room and told me to get my things packed.

"Karthik, please think before you make the decision..." but my words were sealed when Karthik gave me a hard look. He pulled me closer by the elbow and asked " So do you want me to divorce you instead of leaving from here? Is it the wise decision, you're talking about?" His whole body was literally shaking with anger and his bloodshot eyes preying for an answer from me.

" N...No Karthik..."

" Then? are doubting that I couldn't afford us to live separately? Or you have to live an undeserving life with a person like me" Why was he talking like this?

" Karthik, why are talking like this? I'm telling you this because I don't want you to regret your decision later. Please don't doubt my faith in you." I said while looking at him straightly.

Heaving a sigh he left my elbow, " Kayal, you saw everything that happened and how everyone behaved with us. So leaving this place is the correct decision. " This time he held my palms gently and said " Please dear believe me, If we want to lead a peaceful life, we should do this" his eyes were showing how sincere he was about this matter. I nodded with a small smile and he reciprocated the same emotion. He leant towards me and sealed his lips on my forehead. For a few seconds it lingered in the same place while a heartfelt smile adorned my lips. Oh God help us...

After, about thirty minutes later, we both were in his car and driving to Ryan's place. While we were coming out of the house, Karthik's father was nowhere to be seen. Only Kavya was there crying silently sitting on the floor.

When she saw us with our luggage she came running to Karthik and hugged him tightly. I saw the immediate change in the mood of Karthik and his eyes pooled with unshed tears. Karthik was a strong boy and consoled his sister. I knew how hard it was for them to be separated like this in a hard situation. But eventually, she consoled herself understanding the problem and sent us off with lots of blessings and lots of take care while tears streamed down from her eyes.

" Why are you looking at me like that?" My thoughts broke, listening to Karthik's voice. " Don't worry here after you can look at me without any disturbance for your whole lifelong. " He said with a slight smirk. This idiot didn't know when to joke. I mentally hit my forehead thinking of his uncontrollable, shameless mouth.

" Karthik don't act like that you are cool with everything. I know how hard it is for you to get separated from your family. You can talk to me openly. Actually I am feeling guilty for what happened today and...and this secret marriage of us. " Karthik's expression changed in a second and he parked the car on the side of the road.

" Kayal, are you conscious about what you are talking about? Again you're talking the same..."

" Karthik please listen to me properly. I didn't say that I regretted our marriage but feeling guilty that we married without their knowledge. You didn't love Aarohi but she loved you more. Still, I remember how she looked broken when she heard about our marriage."

" Kayal, what you're saying is correct but what about your life and choices? Sometimes try to be a little selfish for you too. Otherwise, you can't survive in this cruel world that only thinks about their wishes and life."

" OK, OK now don't get tension. Start the car. I think its gonna rain now." I changed the topic seeing Karthik was getting angry. Today he was seeming like an angry volcano who could blast in any moment. I didn't dare to turn my head from looking outside through the car window until he stop throwing daggers at me and start the engine.

Oh My God...how was I going to cope up with this angry bull for my lifelong ...
