Jaiyeola's P.O.V

  So he finally smiled when I cleaned his shirt, now I'm sure this guy likes me, and I am the reason he has been moody all day.

"What are you thinking?" Ore asked as we walked back to our class, we went to the library in search of books and novels to read, Clara is really not a reader but they all picked romance novels and I ended up taking this horror novel that is very interesting... Or should I say scary according to some people.

"About... Emm... Tomorrow night." I replied trying to think of a lie.
I definitely will not tell them I was thinking of Daniel, and they have been suspecting me with Daniel and Timi.
High school friends they will start winking and giggling like idiots and then they'll want to know everything that is going on between me and him that has made me to start thinking about him.

Later they will come to the conclusion that I like him, like like him and then they'll make sure we end up dating.

I'm clearly thinking too far.

"What are you thinking about again?... Are you okay?" Ore asked again looking confused.
"Nothing." I lied again before prancing a bit and walking straight into our class.

So the question is, why am I feeling strange, that moment when you feel somehow about someone and you are not able to explain it... Yes that's how I feel right now, and Daniel is making me feel that way.

I don't want to believe it's love but I think it's because I'm aware of the fact that a good person is in love with me.

Or maybe because I'm aware of the fact that a guy would do anything to make me clean his shirt, or maybe when your crush touches you, you feel like that's the only thing that matters.

And just then a voice talked to me, a voice I would say came from my heart... 'Deep down you know you like like him but you don't want to admit it because of your past and the circumstances, but if you don't know you are hurting the person you like.'

Ohh, shut up!
What does my heart know... Right?

'Come to think of it this guy is driving you crazy and a person only drives you crazy when you love him or her.'

So my mind and heart continued their love discussion and my brain could not focus on the horror novel.

One would wonder how I'm able to read in this noisy class, but the truth is I'm only staring at the words, but inside of me is having this crazy love debate.

I think I'm stressed out this days, I haven't engaged in yoga and I have missed my gym work out.

"Don't you get tired of reading?" Ore asked, I did not even notice she was already seated beside me.

Don't you get tired of asking questions?

'Please don't come and disturb our discussion!' My heart said and at the thought of that I smiled.

I could feel Ore staring at me trying to know what is going on in my mind... Look my dear I'm crazy.

'No jorh Daniel the handsome guy is driving her crazy...' Stupid subconscious mind!

Wait have you ever thought of how that guy is handsome... He is not light skinned and he has the normal eyes but still he is something to talk about, something to dream of.

'And besides you guys have a lot of things in common, he is calm, he likes black too, he loves good music and he is good looking like you... Cynthia's no match.'

That was how my whole day ran crazy as my mind was driving me insane. And I really don't know what is wrong with me.
I even compared myself to Cynthia, sure I'm not like her that will be drooling over the SSS3 Boys.

Jaiyeola Johnson you guys are just friends!

I looked up to see my friends staring at me, they have all been saying something since... God knows what.

"I don't know what is wrong with her oo. " I heard Ore say looking worried and I just started laughing.

They all thought I was loosing it, yeah I was but the looks on their faces was funny to see a fair fear in their eyes.

"You see why you should not read horror books." Clara said facing the others before shaking her head in disbelief.

"And you see why you should not watch Zee World... Wait do you think I'll loose my memory or what?" I said still laughing.

They all just shook their head and continued their conversation with Clara sitting with Faith and Ore sitting beside me but facing them.

I continued to read the book in my hands and i was glad my mind did not go astray again.

Daniel's P.O.V

If this school and the owners can't operate without me, I should become part of the board of directors and own a share... And the name should be changed to Daniels high school... Because I really don't get why they always need my help, now I'm showing a new student to our class.

"Hi" the girl greeted when the Vice principal asked me to show her to the SSS3 class room.

I must admit the girl was kinda beautiful, and I learnt her name is Olaitan.

"Hi, welcome to RHS." I replied stretching my hands for an handshake she approved off,  well after blushing a bit.

Girls!?

Well not all girls, JJ has a mind of her own and only she can read it.

"Uhhm... Thank you, I'm Eshinlokun Olaitan." she replied smiling a bit.
That's cool but I don't care, I'm really not in a good mood.

We walked back upstairs as she followed behind me.

"I'm Daniel Johnson." I replied turning before throwing her a well furnished fake smile.
Don't get me wrong I don't dislike her, not just in a good mood.

"Okay, nice to meet you head boy." She replied I just faced her and smiled before replying "Nice to meet you too."

When we passed the stairs we walked side by side and we continued to talk about different things, like her class and all that.

I learnt she had to leave her previous school immediately because her family relocated to this area... Well I kept wondering why she came here when we'll be closing soon.

We walked back to our class and I was glad the stupid Mr Balogun has left our class after all we wasted half of the period and did not call him on time.

"Hi." People greeted Olaitan from different angles until Stella whispered in my ear.

"Who is she?" Stella asked checking the girl out from head to toe, she was still in mufti and her dressing was hot I guess.

"A new student." I replied the staring and over curious Stella.

"Ohh." Stella said her mouth forming a small o.

The girl sat down beside Timi since Timi insisted, I rolled my eyes... Girls will not kill him.

And then he started asking her questions I found irritating... Not that he said something bad but he was acting like a gentleman, everyone knows he is a player and he just wants to get into the hot girl's pant.

Sometimes I wonder how Timi became my best friend, and these days he has been really annoying the girls are taking over his senses.

"And the girl get nyash oo." Paul said before laughing after noticing my irritated expression.

"Abegi am I lying, but don't worry I no like am... It's Timi's girl." He whispered so the girl that was seated behind me won't hear that.

Anyways Vicky heard it and from her expression Timi's behavior was annoying.

He is the master player, he can date ten girls at the same time... I wonder how many wives he will marry.

The girl kept smiling and laughing, feeling flattered... What is even my business?
But I find it annoying though.

"Temidayo go and ring the stupid bell nah." Olanna one if our classmates screamed,

Olanna the girl that has never liked me for a reason I don't know, yes almost everyone in the school liked me but this Olanna girl was always having trouble with me.

But I thank God she is an art students, Timi said she was pretending and that she likes me.

Either way, girls are so confusing.

In the SSS3 class there are different kind of girls.

*Olanna the one that loves to insult, she's loud and very very smart.

*Temidayo, the ones that crush on you but act like they don't and they always find that opportunity to make sure you are with no one.

* Stella, the good friend that can disturb for African, she acts like a baby a times and sometimes she becomes naughty.

*Victoria, she's not the hot girl type, but she's an innocent girl, and I once told Timi that Vicky has a crush on him because I suspected it but Timi said it was not true and they were only friends... Anyways she's also my friend.

* Kristina she's this girl that is always singing or writing, she's a nerd... I talk to her sometimes.

*and then the girl that is always claiming to be my twin sister, Daniella... She has never has ever stick to one boyfriend but she started dating Richard since Stella turned the guy down for a reason I don't know.  I mean Richard is a nerd, he is brilliant and he challenges me a times but I still thank God he is an humanity student. He is the library prefect too and he is a cool and calm dude, but still Stella does not like him.

Girls are really annoying, they turn down the guys that truly love them.
But I think he is happy with Daniella.

* Then we have the one and only Aisha, she's cool and is always talking about being an obedient person... She's a noise maker too, and she was once played by Mr Timileyin Akintade.

'Bang- an bang' exactly what I wanted to hear, the sound of the closing time bell. For the first time Olanna was useful... Thank you for telling Aunty Temi to ring the bell.

"So why did you decide to resume late today?" I heard Timi ask when I rested my back.

"Well I want to finish with the registration process and I was asked to wait to collect my uniform." Olaitan replied, and with that I stood up to pack my books, I don't plan to wait in school and as it is, Jaiyeola and I have not been communicating well so I'm really not sure I'll be tutoring her today.

Soon everyone already left the class except my friends and Timi.
Richard, Daniella and Ayo were in another angle of the class, the three of them were having a conversation.

"So my birthday is tomorrow, hope you won't forget." Stella said facing me.

"I won't ma." I replied paying attention to my books as I shoved them into my bag.

I just want to go home, to my room were no one will disturb or summon me.

"I wonder what is wrong with him." I Overheard Stella say to Paul, but there are sometimes in life that you'll act like you did not hear somethings.

"So there's a party tomorrow night, it's Stella's birthday since you are my friend I'll be happy if you can be there." Timi said still paying attention to Olaitan.

"Is Timi out of his mind?, he just invited a stranger to my house." Stella whispered in my ear, and it just made me to think... What is my business with that.

It's her party not mine, I'm only going because JJ will be there, so what is my business with who comes and who doesn't.

"Ohh... Uhmm, I can't come I'll be studying by then I've got notes to write." Olaitan said looking a bit nervous as we stared at her.

"Daniel are you going already?" Stella asked me as I carried my school bag on one arm.

She asks silly questions at times.

"No I want to roast tomatoes." I replied, she frowned and the rest of them started laughing, excluding Vicky and Olaitan.

"Why are you savaging everyone since morning?" Stella asked.
I just ignored her question and walked out.

She's probably angry, I have known Stella to be a drama queen, well whatever... I just want to go home.
I wonder what the new girl thinks of me, I however don't want an enemy like Olanna.

Come to think of it, if Timi likes likes Olaitan, maybe I'll get to tell my friends about my feelings for JJ.  Well that if no one is against it.

I walked downstairs and through the corridors, I saw JJ then I smiled at her... You know even though she does not like me, at least she's still my friend.

She was with her friends and they were all arguing about something, but I did not pay attention to what they said.

She waved at me and that alone felt as if my life was complete and I have found the missing puzzle.

Wrong! She does not love me yet.

"How much?" I asked the bike man in front of me.

"One fifty." he replied, calling the price with all the greed laced with it. Something that won't cost me more than a hundred naira.
But I was too busy thinking about my day, replaying the moment when Jaiye waved.

"Okay." I replied climbing the bike and seating behind the bike man, a grin crawled unto his face, he clearly thinks he has duped me but I really don't have time to be settling prices so I just climbed on before he started riding.

As it is I just want to get home, bounce on my bed and sleep off, thank goodness I don't have lesson today and Debbie has extra lessons for junior WAEC.

She can come home herself and I really don't want to wait for her, that girl knows how to disturb.

Ohh well... Let's see how the year goes.😟
