The next morning, Sarah took Courage back to the shop and went across the street to get some dog food for him. After she paid for it and fed him at the pawnshop, she then took him with her back to the hospital, but the nurse stopped her, "You're father has been moved out of the emergency room. He woke up."

"Where is he? Please take me to him."

The nurse nodded and led her out of the emergency hallway and into the Consultation hallway. Sarah could even hear her father nearby asking the doctors, "Where's Sarah? Where's my daughter?"

They came into the room, and Sarah teared up seeing him, "Papa!" She ran to him passing the doctor and nurses to hug him. She sobbed gripping him tightly. "Papa!"

Mr Gold was awake. He wrapped his arms around her comforting her. "It's alright, sweetheart. I tried to tell you I be alright." He smiled.

Sarah giggled holding her father's face smiling. She then rubbed her nose against his. "I knew you would be, papa. I knew you would." She kissed his cheek and hugged him again. He just smiled and hugged her back.

After the doctor checked over Mr Gold, they left Sarah and her father be. She walked up to him with Courage and set the puppy on the bed for him to see him. Mr Gold smiled and pet the small puppy. "Good boy," he said softly to the puppy.

Sarah smiled. She could see he also liked dogs.

"So, did you name him yet?"

"...Courage."

Mr Gold looked up at him and chuckled, "the same dog you loved watching as a kid?"

"Well, he does look like a brave puppy." Mr Gold said picking him up. The puppy leaned his head to him to lick his face and he just chuckled at the puppy.

"Thanks, Papa. I really love him too."

Mr Gold smiled at her.

"You don't have to thank me, sweetheart. I want you to be happy. And you said you always wanted one. So I kept that promise."

Sarah smiled and hugged him kissing his cheek. She then sat in the chair beside him as Courage curled up beside Mr Gold.

"I will take care of you, papa. Once we get home I will take care of you like you did with me."

"Sweetheart, you don't have to. But thank you."

Sarah took his hand and squeezed it.

Later on that day. They heard a knock and the nurse came in, "Mr Gold, you have a visitor."

It was Harvey Dent that walked in. Their lawyer.

The nurse then left them be and Harvey walked up to Gold and Sarah. "Hey, how you doing, the both of you?"

"I feel great," Mr Gold chuckled and smiled at his daughter.

"I'm fine. I'm just glad my father is alright." Sarah replied.

"That's good. I'm glad you both are alright. I do have good news...and kinda bad news."

"W-what?"

"...the good news is that The Joker has been caught. Nightwing caught him and the police got him. He in jail at the moment. And the police are checking on him and his men making sure he has no traps like before."

"How did he escape last time?" Mr Gold asked.

"There was phone in one of his goons stomach and it was a bomb. The Joker demanded a phone call, and well he called the phone and it went off. But everyone has checked all his goons his pockets everything on The Joker to make sure he won't get out this time."

"....f*ck," Gold said under his breath.

"What is the bad news?" Sarah asked.

"The judge that was going to the case, he was murdered the night of your party. It was proven it was The Joker. All his Joker cards were by his car where he died. They planted a bomb inside and he was given a note by the detectives telling him where he was going, as a clue by The Joker. Then his car exploded."

Sarah was torn by this. The Joker obviously wanted to make sure no one knew what he did to her and the hundred of girls he held captive over the years. Not just selling them, but...more.

"But we do have another judge, and she will help us out with the case. This is how is gonna happen also, Lucilla is going to go first, then Brittany, Megan, Christina, and then you."

"...what do I have to do?"

"I will ask you questions and you answer them."

"Do...do I have to be...detailed?"

"I'm sorry, but yes, you have to be detailed as possible. Even the parts where he hurt you. I know it will be hard for you, but remember, when you tell us what he did with detail...he will most likely get the death penalty with no parole."

Sarah sighed shaking. Mr Gold reached over and held her hand tightly.

"And another bad news is...Arthur has been arrested also."

"What!?" Sarah was in shock. "How? He was protected by his men."

"...the police found him...I'm sorry, but he is taken care of since he is still injured. Just to let you know, miss Sarah, if you tell the court about him too, I'm sure he won't have life in prison or even the death penalty. Joker is good man...with bad choices, but he is definitely a hero. He helped not just you and your friends...he even helped us."

"What about...Harleen? And Gaston?"

"They are caught and being questioned. Turns out they were just outside the hospital in disguise. And Gaston was holding what looked like poison. I think he was going to try to kill your father."

Sarah then hugged her father tightly. She was just glad he was safe now.

"Thank you," she said, "I mean it, thank you, Mr Dent."

"You don't have to thank me...not yet," Harvey smiled. "You can thank me after we get that bastard what he deserves."
