"Yeah me." Melanie rolled her eyes and after resting her both hands on her waist she glared at him. "You seem to like bumping into me."

Asher snorted and stood up adjusting his suit and smoothening the creases that managed to form on his trousers. "No, i think you're the one who likes bumping into me. You know, if you really wanted my attention all you have to do is tell me not keep bumping into me pretending it's a mistake."

"What! No! That's absolutely not true." Melanie defended, flustered that he'd think that not knowing he was teasing her.

"Oh really? Tell me what's true then?." Asher asked, enjoying the look on Melanie's face. Her face had changed to the colour of tomato paste and she hated it. She hated the way he made her fluster so she switched to her bitchy attitude.

"You really wanna know what's true?." She asked with a smirk. "What's true is that that mole on the side of your nose is disgusting."

Asher looked taken aback, he was surprised that she said that to him when all he had ever heard was the mole was cute and fits him perfectly. She was the first woman to say that to him. They all thought the mole looked good on him.

"Well, you're the first to ever say that to me." He chuckled nervously. He started to feel self conscious that she thought his mole was disgusting.

"Then you must be surrounded by liars, poor you." Melanie's mouth was pulled down trying to feign pity but it was obvious the action was her being sarcastic.

"I guess there's no need to use it anymore then. I can't bare for a beautiful girl like you to hate something i use."

"Wha-" Melanie begin but was cut off when Asher removed the supposed mole and threw it in a nearby dustbin.
"What was that?." She asked bewildered.

"My mole." Asher shrugged.

"I know. I thought it was real."

"It was supposed to look real." Asher rolled his eyes.

"Wow. I never knew something like a fake mole existed."

"Then you must live in your closet."

"What?."

"Nothing." Asher said with a wave of his hand. "What is a girl like you doing here?."

"Excuse you? What do you mean by a girl like me?."

"I mean, a-- good looking girl like you shouldn't be found in a company like this and don't tell me you work here..i come here regularly and trust me when i say i know almost all the staff members....well except the male population."

"Why do you know 'almost all' the staffs? Did my uncle introduce them to you?."

"Nope, they introduce themselves to me...you know...they can't resist my charm so they come running towards me immediately they set their eyes on me. I'm like a magnet to the females, babe." He boasted.

"Wait...your uncle?." He asked and eyed her closely. "Kevin? I knew it."

"I didn't say yes."

"You don't need to. You guys look so much alike. Wow. Kevin never told me he had such a beautiful niece."

"Why would he tell you? And stop calling me beautiful."

"Okay ugly." He shrugged.

She folded her hands trying not to do something like hit him across the face. "Fine." She said through clenched teeth and tried to move away from him but was stopped.

"Where do you think you're going?."

"Away from you."

"And you think I'd allow that? Come on. I'm not about to let you go you're coming with me." He said and started to drag her towards the elevator. She tried to dig her heels into the floor but stopped when she realised she was putting on sneakers and was walking on a tiled floor.

"Leave me alone?." She barked at him.

"And where would that leave us? Come on i'm not gonna bite." He said now using two hands to pull her slim body. He pushed her gently into the elevator and quickly punched in the elevator number at the same time holding her with an arm to prevent her from running before the elevator closed.

They got to her uncle's floor and got out. Asher led her into her uncle's room closing the door behind him. Melanie wondered if he knew her uncle that well. He motioned for her to sit on a couch beside the door to the conference room before he entered and closed the door behind him. Melanie peeped and saw Asher raise his hands up as if in surrender. He put his hands back down when Kevin flipped him off and move to sit opposite Kevin in the only empty chair. He must have been the one uncle was waiting for. After he settled down, Kevin's new PA stood up and walked towards him handing some papers to him. Asher collected it and winked at PA who blushed furiously and walked away hastening her steps. He then smirked and moved his attention back to the papers he was handed.

Melanie confirmed one thing, he was an important figure to her uncle because ever since he got to the room her uncle's attention has been on him. All the talks had been only among them as if the others there where not noticed.

And also that he was a great flirt and a playboy. He kept winking and sucking his lips at the two women present at the room. One being the PA and the other woman seated among the unnoticed or ignored board members.

After about 30 minutes they all rose after Kevin and filed out, exchanging handshakes in the process leaving Kevin and Asher to be the last to leave. Melanie watched as her uncle hugged Asher firmly and left his arm sitting on his shoulders while they walked out like good ole' friends. Melanie quickly sat straight as they approached and turned to face her uncle whose mouth was hanging open. "Mel, what are you doing here?."

"Visiting my uncle." She replied with a sly smile.

"You didn't tell me you had a niece that is this gorgeous." Asher complained.

"Maybe because we never talked about our nieces." Kevin rolled his eyes and turned back to Melanie but was pushed aside by Asher who smirked at her.

"So her name is Melody. Who would have thought." He was proud of himself for getting to know her name first but the smirk was wiped off his face when both Kevin and Melanie started to laugh.

"What? Why are you laughing?." He started scratching his hair ruffling it in the process when none of them answered.

"No Asher. That's not her name." Kevin said between laughs.

"What's it then?." Asher was starting to feel stupid.

"No uncle don't tell him."

"Melanie."

"Ugh....why did you tell him? I just told you not to." Her uncle only shrugged.

"Hahaha at least i now know you're name." Asher said with a smug look.

"At least i knew yours first." Melanie said sticking out her tongue. "Mel, that's childish." Her uncle corrected.
"Yes, it is." Asher said but Melanie only stuck her tongue out more receiving a glare from her uncle and a chuckle from Asher who thought her hilarious.

"It was nice meeting you again, though i can't say that for the first time." Asher and Melanie shared a smile at the memory.

"Yes it was." She agreed.

"Wait, you've met before?." Kevin asked.

"Yep, at the club yesterday, she bumped into me."

"No you bumped into me." Melanie rolled her eyes.

"Whatever. But you bumped into me today and pushed me to fall on my butt, you can't deny that one."

"Ha, yes i did." Melanie felt proud of her actions and smirked at him, remembering the coffee stain on her clothes the smirk turned to a glare. "And you spilled coffee on me."

"Ha, yes i did." Asher said returning her smirk. Kevin shook his head at the two adults behaving childish. "Come on, you two are adults now, you shouldn't bicker."

"Come on Asher, we have places to be." Kevin pulled at Asher's arm when he wouldn't stop smirking at Melanie who was fuming on her seat.

"Yeah we do, bye Mela."

"It's Mel for short."

"I know Mela."

"Ugh fuck you." Melanie pointed her middle finger at him.

"Gladly." Asher did an exaggerated bow and moved to leave with Kevin.

"Bye Ash." He turned sharply after hearing that. "Don't call me that."

"Okay Ash." Melanie put on a fake innocent smile that had Asher groaning about stubborn women with dimples.

"Uncle we have to talk." Melanie remembered the reason she was there and sobered up.

"We'll do that later Mel, i have somewhere to be." He said opening the door and shoving a reluctant Asher outside.

"But--"

"No buts, Bye for now Melanie." He shut the door and she could hear the sounds of their shoes as the retreat.

"Guess i woke up at 7am for nothing." She grumbled, adjusting herself on the couch.

"Maybe not nothing." Was the last thing she found herself saying before passing out.
