After deciding to meet with Katrina who invited Melanie to a posh restaurant to catch up on stuffs they missed. Katrina was a full time model who models for expensive designer cloths. She had made a name for herself in the country and was quite popular to those who read magazines and are interested in fashion. Katrina was a dropout from college who couldn't complete her education due to her parents death. Her parents were well to do and when they died all their properties was transferred to her dad's sister who let Kat in for three months and threw her our after. She couldn't even afford to buy meals and would have been on the streets if not for Melanie who used all her savings and allowances to rent her an apartment and would always bring her food. Melanie had offered to talk to her dad to help Kat continue her studies but she refused, she knew how Melanie was despised by her father, it would take a miracle for him to accept and even if he did, be would no doubt ask for something in return, something that involves both Kat and Mr Walker in bed. He was that disgusting.

With all the help from Melanie, Kat found a job at a cafe which provided her enough money for meals and her apartment and after she was well settled Melanie made Kevin convince one of his friend's who owned a clothes brand to employ her as one of his models. Soon she became their top model and started modelling for different brands.

She wasn't the only friend Melanie had helped but she was the most loyal and she helped Melanie anyway she could, accepting that she could not pay off her debts to Melanie but at the same swore to try.

Her curves, tanned skin and beautiful face made her stand out amongst all others. Her dark hair and chocolate eyes alone could make a man pee his pants. No wonder she was successful in her career, it was obvious she was born to do it even though she plans to becoming a psychologist when she was too old or tired of her current career.

The only thing her goddess like body didn't seem to give her is a good relationship though she didn't really dwell on it. She was always busy and barely had time for her best friend not to talk of a guy so she dated men in the fashion industries mostly other models but the longest time those relationships lasted is 6 months.

Katrina sighed after Melanie relayed everything that happened to her in Kat's absence. She really wished she had more time for her bestie so she wouldn't need to do any 'catching up', she wanted to spend every moment of her life with Melanie if possible. She deserved that much.

"So...what did you do after seeing the bitch with Bryan? Were you sad about it?."

Melanie rolled her eyes like it wasn't a big deal, she tried to act like she didn't care in front of everyone else but she should know better. Kat would see past the facade. They had a stare down for about 2 minutes before Melanie finally gave in. "Fine, maybe i do care a bit but i assure you it's only because they were in my house, on the bed i bought and the bedsheets i brought from my own room in my Father's house and they are both living on my money. It's not like they'd ever survive on their own they've always been depending on me and on top of that they cheat me, you know maybe i should just break things off with Bryan and accept the fact I'll be forever single."

"I get that you're angry about all these but are you sure you want to break things off?." Kat asked concerned about the furious look on Melanie's face.

Melanie opener her mouth several times but closed it. Truth is, she needed him. Not in the way one would need someone one loves very much but in a twisted way. They both had their faults and it was quite clear at the beginning of the relationship that they just needed each other as one would need a bed. There were times when she couldn't bare her step mother and father and really needed where to go....the house she rented would always be there as well as Bryan. He was at least caring enough to try and comfort her. Even if he was doing his random fucks he would come running at her call. That was all she needed for now.

"No." She decided. "I guess i need him too after all."

"Ahem, seems like someone's crushing." Kat cleared her throat and wiggled her eye brows at Melanie who was blushing deeply.

"No, of course not, i don't like him. I was just...well...i was only....admiring him. It's not a big deal." She shrugged.

"Doesn't look like it to me."

"Kat leave me alone, stop teasing me." Melanie whined and stood up along with Katrina getting ready to leave when she was cut off by someone bumping to her almost deliberately. She looked back to see a brunette with blue piercing eyes. She folded her arms and jutting her hips out she took in both Kat and Melanie's form not even trying to be discrete about it. It was obvious she was trying to be intimidating though she could not be older than 19. Seeing as they weren't intimidated by her she rolled her eyes and walked away not bothering to apologize.

"What's that?." Melanie hissed, appalled at her guts and lack of manners.

"I think the question should be who's that." Kat corrected.

"Yeah i know what's that?." Deliberately emphasising on the what.

Katrina rolled her eyes. "Come on Mel, she's just a kid." She then dragged her friend out who looked about to go after the girl and punch the living daylight from her.

As Katrina dragged her fuming friend they passed a particular young man in dark shades. Melanie didn't notice in her anger and was dragged into the car as the man entered the restaurant.
