Ahiras pov

Time waits for none and the same has happened with us also. After his beautiful proposal, we returned back the next day. And to be honest that one was also very beautiful and perfect. This honeymoon or vacation as Azlaan likes to call it brought us very close as a couple. I have no words to describe this one month that has past after our vacations. Even after being busy in his workload, not a single day had past where Azlaan didn't made me realise how much I mean to him .

Closing my diary I walked towards the kitchen to make some hot coffee for myself.

"You want something Ahira?" Mom enquired as soon as I stepped inside the kitchen.

"Just came to make myself a cup of coffee" I answered smiling at her concern.

Oh did I forgot to mention that I am forbidden to leave my bedroom as I've been feeling little bit dizzy and feverish since yesterday.

"Ok sit, I'll make it for you" She said while I sat enjoying the mother's love.

I was about to sit down when I heard the door bell ring.

"Rinoz check who is it" Mom shouted.

Minutes passed and Ayesha entered the kitchen with a grin on her face. I smiled looking at her.

"How are you Ayesha?" Mom asked.

"Im fine aunty. How are you ?" she asked.

"Fine dear, you sit while I'll make you some coffee" Mom said.

"Umm..No aunty, I mean not now. Um..yeah I forgot to bring medicine for mom. Can I take Ahira with me? We will be back in fifteen minutes" She reasoned while I thanked her internally.

"Its just two minutes my dear and besides Ahira is not well. So No!" She said strictly and I sighed.

Taking out my phone I typed a message to Ayesha and indicated her to check it.

Reading the message she looked up suddenly, her eyes going wide making me nervous all over again. Soon her widened eyes turned into a naughty grin making me glare at her.

"Its ok Aunty, I'll go and come in a minute." She sang and ran out from there winking at me.

"What happened to her?" Mom frowned at her sudden change of behaviour.

"Nothing she is mad" I shrugged and went to my room with my coffee.

Strolling from one end to the other in the washroom, five mintues felt like five decades.

"Ahira" I heard my impatient friend shout from outside.

"What?" I shouted back.

"Nothing "

Closing my eyes, I took the device to check the result. Seeing the pink line I was literally about to faint when I heard a knock on the door.

''Coming" I said, my voice barely audible.

Disposing the kit in the bin, I exited the washroom only to be hugged by an overly excited Ayesha.

"Congratulations future mom" she shouted.

"How did you know that the test is positive?" I asked because I didnt told her yet.

"By looking at your face, you fool. But what's with this frown? You should be happy." She said as a matter of fact.

"I'm scared" I said sitting down on the mattress.

"Ahira?" My head turned towards the door, seeing mom standing there. My mind went crazy thinking what if she heard everthing?

"Come the lunch is ready and Ayesha you aren't going anywhere without having lunch" She said strictly to which Ayesha nodded. Seeing me so oddly quiet she marched towards me and sat beside us. Keeping a hand on my shoulder she looked at Ayesha probably asking her what happened but to my luck Ayesha just smiled at mom.

Not getting any answer from her, mom looked at me with a raised eyebrow demanding an answer.

"I-I-I "

"Are you planning to say something after I ?" She asked a bit irritated.

"I'm expecting" I said closing my eyes tightly feeling embarassed God knows why.

The room was awfully quiet until I heard someone screaming. Opening my eyes, I saw Rinoz stand that with her hands on her hip while mom was smiling.

"Did someone just say that I'm going to be an aunt?" She asked wiggling her eyebrows.

"I dont know about that but someone surely did say that I am going to be a grandmother." Mom said while hugging me and kissed my forehead.

"Um..can you guys not say this to him?" I asked smiling nervously.

"Of course. You will be the one telling him this good news" Mom said and I looked at Rinoz who also nodded her head smiling like an idiot.

"Why are you so quiet?" he asked.

"Am i?" I asked raking my fingers through his hair.

"Hmm" His eyes were closed and I was thinking as to how should I inform him.

"Azlaan actually I want to say that..leave it, its nothing." I tried but unfortunately I couldn't.

"Now I want to know" He jerked up from my lap demanding to know.

"N-nothing" I tried to be stern but my stupid voice cracked.

I don't know if it's my hormones making me react in such a weird manner to this news. Soon my eyes brimmed up with tears and then dropped one by one down my cheeks. The once curious eyes of Azlaan changed into concern.

"You alright?" He asked and I shook my head indicating a no. Being honest I wasn't ok. I was scared to an extent that I cant describe.

"What happened?" He asked holding me to his chest.

Without any word I detached my frame from his and walked over to the vanity table. Opening the drawer, I took out the card that I made yesterday after Ayesha was gone. And also bought a rose this morning as I was planning to tell him this news today, but wasn't able to say anything.

Turning around I found Azlaan already near me. I gave him the flower and the card. Opening the card he started reading the content inside. From clueless to flabbergasted to exultant, his face was worth seeing. By the time he finished reading it I was in the air. The card and the flower long given to the floor to cherish and me in his arms as he spun me across the room.

"Azlaan put me down, I'm feeling dizzy" I half shouted. Putting me on the ground he laughed as if he couldn't believing anything.

"Damn Ahira I am gonna be a father soon" He hugged me making me smile. I was happy to make him smile. That smile of his made me forget my fears, fear of an unknown thing. As if something bad is gonna happen. As if all the smiles were gonna be snatched.
