"Well well"

I saw Ricci in front of me. At least I thought that was him. My vision was blurry as I tried to keep myself awake.

"What a good dog" He mocked.

I held myself back from lunging at him. I probably couldn't even if I tried.

"I wonder how's your bitch" He smirked.

I chuckled bitterly trying to tame myself.

He has no idea what he has coming once I'm out of this cage.

"Pretty little thing. She's been through a lot too. Why would you try to drag her into your shit?"

I knew what he was doing. He was trying to make me feel guilty, trying to make me feel bad and useless.

"Now she has to pay for your mistakes"

I wanted to scream at him. Ask him what I'd done wrong, but I couldn't. I could barely breathe.

"Get up. We can't have you dying. Not yet" He said chuckling at the last part.

I didn't get up. I couldn't even try, my legs felt like rocks.

"I said get up!" He screamed. "Fine. If you're going to be such a useless brat"

He walked away and a few minutes after two guards came and picked me up. They took me to a clean room and left me on a bed before walking out.

"Boss?" I head a familiar voice, but I was so focused on staying up that I couldn't recognize it. "Hold on"

It was Vincent of course. Who else in here would call me boss? He started treating my wounds while i tried to stay still.

"I'm sorry. I'm really sorry it has to be like this" He said. What caught me off guard was that he truly did sound sorry. "I swear it wasn't my choice"

"Who's then?" I breathed out flinching.

"I trust you boss. I trust you will use this information wisely. I was ordered not to tell anyone, but I owe you" he said, "That woman claiming to be Serenity's mother is indeed our mother"

No surprise there.

"She found out about you. She had some connections and found out who you are. She was not happy with it. She blamed you for father's change and his death. She didn't want Serenity close to you"

That crazy woman. Why would she appear now? Why would she try to take someone she abandoned so easily back? Serenity was mine now and I wasn't going to let a crazy woman take her away from me.

"She met Ricci and made a deal with him. She would help him set you up and do everything he wanted with you on condition that she takes Serenity"

"And?"

"And she dragged us along too. She blackmailed us, she said if we didn't help her she would-"

He cut himself off and run a hand through his hair.

"Devin the youngest of the boys, he's really sick. She said that if we don't help she will let him-"

He stopped himself. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. This woman was really mental and had to go to an asylum. First she abandons her own daughter and now threatens to kill her child? Family is precious and not all people get to have it.

"I understand" I whispered. "I promise we'll find a way"

"I started this job because I wanted to make sure he got all the treatments he could" He said trying to hold back a few tears.

"Calm down. He'll be okay"

I wanted to say more to him. Tell him he was strong and that it didn't matter that he betrayed me because he was forced to do it, but I couldn't. I didn't have the strength.

He nodded and continued treating my wounds.

I felt way better now. I got some rest and I could finally stay awake without putting all my energy to it. That was until the next round, but I was hoping I would manage to get out of here before that happened.

Every plan seemed stupid. Everything was either too risky or took too much time. I couldn't find a perfect plan. I was stuck.

"Boss!" someone whisper-yelled walking to my cell. "They will come get you today, you don't have much time if you want to escape now.

"Nothing seems to be good enough, nothing is sure to work" I told him.

"Fine then" He said and started unlocking the cell.

"What are you doing?!" I asked looking around for any unwanted person.

"Helping you"

"Vincent you careless brat stop! You're going to get yourself in trouble!" I whispered.

"Everyone will be dead before I can get in trouble" He chuckled. "Come out" He said opening the door wide. "Come on!"

I got out of the cell and followed him.

"This is a map of the building. I've marked the places where people are most likely to be. There are cameras but the system isn't working anymodw" He said with a smirk giving me a piece of paper.

"Vincent when we get out of this situation I'm giving you a raise" I said lightly slapping his ckeek.

"Thank you boss, now go!" He said shooing me away.

Without thinking I started walking and walking. Always carefully but I didn't care anymore. I had to leave this place.

I was turning a corridor when I saw a guard. Instinctively and quickly I punched him hard and he got knocked out.

"Now where do I put you?" I wondered. I looked inside an open door and saw an empty room. Deciding to hide him there I carried him all the way under the bed and then left the room and kept walking.

The house was huge and I had to move slowly and stop to see if there was someone around. Turning a corridor I bumped into someone and instinctively kneed his stomach.

Little did I know I wasn't meant to knee this bastard.

"What did I ever do to you?!" He breathed out crunching with his hands on his stomach.

"Nate what are you doing here?!" I whispered.

"Saving you, idiot!" he whispered back, "But you don't even appreciate that, you never appreciate me!" He said dramatically.

"It's no time for drama Nate, where's Leo and the others? Where's Serenity?"

"Serenity is safe in the base. Leo just hacked the cameras and the others are probably on a killing spree trying to get rid of the guards. Oh and we talked to Vincent"

That's how Vincent knew the cameras weren't working.

"Now we need to get out of here befo-"

"If that isn't my two favorite people"

"If that isn't my favorite hoe" Nate mocked Ricci.

"Nate, ever the kind one" He smiled a sick smile.

"Pig" Nate snapped at him and then spat right in his face and Ricci's smile fell.

Nate is way too aggressive sometimes.

"Don't make this harder for you boy"

"We're two and you're one this is basically kindergarten stuff" Nate said crossing his arms.

"Oh it is now?" He smirked and two guards appeared pointing guns at us.

Shit, here we go again.

"Try to move and you're dead" He threatened.

"Are you sure about that?" A voice was heard and the guys fell on the floor after two gunshots were heard. Behind them stood Leo with a satisfied smile on his face.

Ricci was taken aback. His face for once in his life displayed stress and panic, but only for a few seconds before going back to his stuoid smirk.

"Oh Leo my favorite!" He said as Leo stood next to him. "Intelligent, but hot blooded"

"Oh stop with that we know who we are" Nate scoffed.

"You're still quite at a disadvantage" He chuckled. Then I felt the cold metal on my head.

This guy keeps on setting up traps. He's like the Hydra or something.

"You thought you could take my daughter and escape? Think again" The woman pointing the gun at me said.

"Oh please go take your pills woman"

Wow Nate keeps saying all the insults in my head.

"You left her" I snarled.

"I was going to save her once I had the chance!"

"Well it's too late! She's mine now!" I yelled.

"You're delusio-" She trailed off just as we heard a sound behind us and she fell to the floor.

We were all shocked to see who was there.
