Nigeria, Abuja.
Alhamdulilah!! All the wedding events that was to take place in Abuja was completed and successful in pure happiness and joy. From the kamu, where the bride was elegantly dressed in a navy blue sewn beautifully peplone blouse and skirt with matching head gear to the walimah, sakun lale, luncheon, dinner and whatnot. The events were covered up by the bride's family with George Okoro capturing the moment to blush caking the bride's face and friends dancing shaku shaku and the twin paku paku as said by a group of guests dancing and breaking their legs on the dance floor.
None of Ahmaad's relative showed up except aunty Husna and her friends whom she invited. Everyone found that weird but didn't want to say anything that will make Haneesa worked up.. If she is happy then they are also happy.
"Ya Mukky wait" Haneesa yelled stopping her brother who she had managed to catch up with before he left the house. It was now his usual routine to leave house before six in other to avoid Haneesa, he was still against the wedding. her soft glowing skin touched his hand and that was all thanks to a Somalian beautician who flew some days ago for her gyaran Jiki. Daddy wanted the best for his princess
"Haba ya Mukky don't you think avoiding me is enough? I'll be leaving tomorrow fah won't you at least say goodbye?" She pouted and he roll his eyes at her poking her forehead with his finger.
"Silly idiot! I will never let you go without goodbye.."
"Eheeeennn? So if I haven't stopped you when were you planning on saying goodbye? Kai ma ka san I'll be very busy"
"I was planning on coming to visit you two weeks after you marriage then say goodbye" he shrugged and she hit him making him laugh
"Your beating me? I'll tell Maami" he threatened and she could care less. She is a bride so Maami wouldn't do anything to her, the least she would say is; 'you both should please stop and Haneesa you are a woman behave like one' yes one wouldn't believe she is the Maami he knows, the disciplinarian you know. She has changed drastically when reality dawned on her that her little baby was leaving home.
"But seriously my sweet sister I'll miss you and if Ahmaad isn't treating you well or if he raises his voice on you or hand which he shouldn't dare just call me okay love. I'll make sure I leave him handless and castrate him very well" he threatened making her gasp and the water woks began making her jump on him.
"keh don't start now wallahi" he joke blinking away his tears.. The last thing he wants on earth is for Haneesa to catch him shedding a tear over her, she would tease him till the very end of his life.
"Mukhtar I will miss you" she said in between her cries and he rub her back in a comforting manner not caring about the fact she just called him without 'ya'
"I will miss you too baby love" he teased and she hit his chest against her tears in annoyance. the last time she was called baby love, a pet name, was when she had graduated from secondary school and Maami said 'iyeee my baby love is now feeling like one cele cause she has finished secondary school, hmm welcome to the real world'
"Leave me alone and please when I'm gone stay away from breaking girls heart, you egoistic fuck boy"
"No promises sha talk to your best friend to stop being sassy to me it's starting to get on my last nerve"
"That is you guys thing to solve thank God I am going far away from you guys so I don't have to deal with your bullshit" she lied sashaying her hair which has been washed with lale on the sakun lale day and it was darker and silkier.
"Liar! Sha babes you know i'm only one call away, take care and i love you." He kissed her forehead and she watched him leave the house with the excuse to meet his friend who flew in from London the previous night. They had issues to solve and time was on their side...

Haneesa's POV
"Baby love.." Maami calls and I close my hands in embarrassment. What is up with people and calling me that today? Earlier it was ya Mukky now Maami? Ugh. Honestly I hate the name.. Who even gave me the nickname in the first place?
"Maaaaamiiii" I whined and she laugh.
"Have you ever wondered why I gave you the name Haneesa?
Haneesa has given you the vision and foresight to be able to organize others and to hold positions of responsibility with poise and self-confidence. This name creates an optimistic outlook on life and favourable conditions in your personal affairs. You have the ability to express your thoughts and ideas, and you are friendly, likeable, and generous. You enjoy fun, laughter and congenial association.
Since you are quick and fluent in your expression, you have to guard against boastfulness or dominating a situation.
I won't say marriage is easy my daughter cause if I said that I would be lying to you. You have to be very patience, sabr, that is the key to everything. As you know you are getting married into a family where their way of living is not familiar to you, you have never been to Gombe and now Gombe is your home so as you enter the city I want you to enter with the intention of making new and beautiful memories.. with the intention of spreading happiness and love. You have to adapt to their way of living Haneesa, please your husband and his family members. respect your mother in law as she is your new mother, and most importantly pray, when your affairs have become difficult turn to your lord cause only he can ease your pain. Remember Allah does not burden a soul upon which it cannot bear, never lose hope and keep your marriage life a secret, no third party. Lastly make your parents proud and uphold their your family's reputation, don't forget the promise you made to your father.. No coming home crying, no regrets deal with everything like the matured girl you are and Allah will make it easy on you In Shaa Allah! May Allah bless you are your union, Ameen" she finished and I was crying heavily on her lap. Whenever I see girls cry after given the marriage talk, I laugh and taunt them for being over dramatic but now I understand what the go through. I cried and cried and cried until Maami said it was enough that I should go and wash up and part Asr my uncles would be here to give me their own advice and so I did as told cause tomorrow I will become Mrs Ahmaad and will leave Abuja and home. Ya Allah!

"An daura auren Haneesa er gidan Abba Gorge da Ahmaad akan sadaqi dubu hamsin achikin adinin muslunci. Allah yabasu zaman lafia, salati goma ga annabi"
I let the tears fall on my lap as I sit on my bed dressed in my peach and silver fitted gown that showed my medium sized boobs, big butt which adda always complained that mine was way too big than hers and I'll always roll my eyes at, and curves. It fitted at the appropriate place with a long train that I had to walk carefully in other not to trip and embarrass myself.
Adda Hayrah adjust the white veil on my head while the the twins yelled aunty Haneesa amarya making me laugh against my tears, I hug them crying heavily.
"Aunty Haneesa amarya don't cry.. Uncle Ahmaad would take care of you kinji?" Bahiyya said crying my tears and I laugh kissing her small hand.
"I'll miss you baby nah"
"Won't you miss me?" Haadiya asked feigning hurt and I laugh kissing her cheek "I'll miss you very, very, very much"
"Toh enough with the missing stuff, touch your makeup and go to Daddy's living room, Big H and your groom are waiting to snap pictures" Adda Hayri said and I nod my head doing as told. I walk to Daddy's living room which my dress train following right after.
"Amerya has finally graced us with her presence" big H said and I blush. He pronounced amarya as amerya which was very funny but I suppressed my laughter. haba that would be rude. I smiled at him and looked up to meet my one and only dressed in a white babban Riga and his killer smile on his face. I melt under his stare and Big H capture the moment
"Perfectooo! Just muah.. what a very cute couple" he praised and I laugh and he capture again. So this is going to take a while..
Nigeria, Gombe state✨
We land in Lawanti airport as two SUV's were waiting for me and my friends already. we left home after zuhr prayer and I cried, cried and cried until there were no tears left in my eyes. It hurts so bad to see tears in Maami's eyes and trust me Maami isn't the one to cry easily, the last tine she cried was when adda got married and that's a very long time ago. Daddy didn't cry in front of me but one glance at him you will know he has been crying, he gifted me a golden corolla and said it will be sent to me soon. Maami gave me a box of golden bangles, they were gorgeous Ma Shaa Allah. She said it was her grandma's then her mom's, then hers and now it's mine.
Ya Mukky was not there when I left, he called though saying he couldn't handle seeing me in tears and he loved me and wished me a happy married life, he also promised to visit soon and yes he threatened Ahmaad.
Adda Hayrah came along with me and my close friends for the Fulani day event we will be having here, after that they would all leave which I don't want to happen.
As we roam around in the city of Savannah, a city I've never been to, the driver pull over in a beautiful mansion that was full with guests. the house was huge Ma Shaa Allah with many sides the left me in awe.. I never expected the house to be this big but Ahmaad had mentioned they lived in a family house which is understandable.
"Oya stop gazing at the house, you will get tired of looking at it soon, it's only a matter of time" Amtullah said and they all laugh at me.
"Mstw, keh let's go already. I am exhausted" I complain
"Who told you we are going there to rest? Mallama as soon as we enter the house, we will greet the elders take a shower and dress for the event.. We don't want to be late" Adda said checking her watch, I groan in tiredness and Amtullah hit my mouth telling me to behave like a bride.
Osheyyyyy!
See me see local wahala!
Yau zaa'ayi ruwa dan kankara kuwa..
Amtullah is asking me to behave?
Wonders shall never end.
"Let's get down already" Naimah said opening the door and we got down with Adda adjusting my alkyabba. A girl welcomed us in to the living room where my mother in law was waiting with her people, I take a deep steady breath and say bismillah entering the parlour.
Inalilahi wa'ina ilahi rajiun.
Ya Allah help me.
I salamed and they all replied and I squat in front of them not daring to look up at anyone. I was starting to sweat and goosebumps erupted on my body, why I'm I suddenly nervous? Why do I feel like I just invited trouble for my self? Or that someone is gazing really hard on me that if look's could kill I would have been dead now.
"Won't you show us your face or are you waiting for an angel to descend from heaven and help you" a voice said and my body trembled in fear. Adda nudged me and I slowly move the alkyabba backwards and meet eye to eye ball with her.
"Welcome to the family.." She rolled her eyes and something about her voice felt like she was mocking me, like she have already planned my life on her palm making my stomach cry.
Allah does not burden a soul upon which it cannot bear..
