Hi,

Let me drop this here.

Bye.

Picking up the call that was ringing beside her for the umpteenth time, Haneesa place the phone on her right ear while fidgeting with her laptop which was placed on her lap, she was sending a quick email to Adda asking her how things were over there and if they heard anything from Mukhtar yet

"Hello"

"I am married to Mubarak."

She didn't know when her laptop fell off her balanced lap and hit the soft rug with a mere thud.

"Sorry wrong number" she called faintly trying to calm her beating heart.

"Sadiq divorced me, long story short I am married to Mubarak, legally. SubhanAllah! It feels surreal Hanee. I am so happy that I can't even believe it!"

"Innalilahi wa'ina ilaihi rajiun. Calm down, slow down, take a deep breath, there we go. Now tell me everything in details!"

"Sadiq divorced me because he figured out I was in love with someone else, it was a miracle I am telling you"

"What about Maa? And your father?" She asked while retrieving her device that was on the rug.

"He said he will handle his mom, he said it was about us and not about her and for Baba he scolded me, preached and preached and preached but when my waterworks started, the emotional blackmail he let me be. He is nothing but supportive and the wedding will be islamically conducted this Friday" she said in one breath making tears roll down Haneesa's eyes. They were tears of happiness!

"I am genuinely happy for you Amtullah, you deserve nothing but happiness best friend. May Allah bless your union"

"Ameen. It means a lot wallahi, listen you've exhausted my credit! that's why I almost never call you, it's too expensive" she whined making Haneesa crack up with laughter.

"Haba matan Mubarak. (Come on Mubarak's wife)" she teased.

"Come on get out, silly girl! Take care habibty, and kiss my little one."

"How I'm I suppose to kiss my stomach Amtullah!?"

"I don't know, just do it. Bye"

and with that she end the call leaving Haneesa to laugh to her hearts content.

After getting a grip of herself, she pressed the send button to Adda and the screen blinked some minutes later.

Adda Hayri: still no news! Will keep you updated. No matter what do not answer Ahmaad's call. Trust me! Don't!!

Reading that her heart sunk in her chest,

Why will Adda tell her not to answer her husband's call?

That she has been yearning to hear for months.

Something was definitely wrong.

She stared at the fragile fair slender baby before her.

She was beautiful and was the exact replica of her father.

Running her hand through her soft curly hair, a wide grin welcomed her face as she wore a baby pink cap on her small head.

Her nose stood prominent on her face as she opened her eyes, purred and closed it again.

Munayarh was mesmerized by her daughter's beauty.

She only took her fair skin tone if not she looked exactly like Ahmaad.

After decking up her princess, she sprayed different types of perfume on her body and set to the hospital.

She was discharged some days ago and her family members who were the closest to Kaduna were already trooping in and sending their congratulations.

There was only one thing left to do, present Ahmaad to his daughter. She couldn't wait to see the sparkle in his eyes when he look at their daughter.

"MashaaAllah! See how beautiful our baby is looking. Don't stay out too late, she is still young" one of her aunties cooed as Munayarh place the baby on her shoulder closing her with her flannel.

"Insha Allah aunty Maryama" and with that she left to where the driver was waiting for her.

It took them approximately fifteen minutes to arrive and Munayarh was never anxious as she was today.

Even when she married him despite him not in love with the idea she was not this scared to meet him but today.. She was more than scared.

She asked for directions and when she was in the right track and let out a shaky breath before knocking on the door.

"come in!" She heard Zubaina's voice and she push the door slowly.

"Assalam Alaikum"

The room went silence, everyone was dumbstruck! Munyarh was the last person on earth that they would expect to show up randomly.

Abba was the first to come out of shock so he answered her salaam while watching her enter the room slowly.

"Ah'ahn. Munayarh is that you?" He asked surprised.

"Yes Abba,"

"MashaaAllah!" He smiled broadly as Nabila stand from the couch so she could take her space.

"Welcome Adda Munayarh! Long time. Whose baby is that? Oh SubhanaAllah she is so cute" Zubaina said cheerfully as she cooed at the baby who was tugged in Munayarh's hand.

"Thank you Zubaina, it's been long quite alright. Since your brother divorced me what business do I have here again?" She laughed in an attempt to make a joke but the room went dead silence again.

Ahmaad cleared his throat, "No matter what we are still family. Even after being in a life or death situation you would have dropped by to say hello, that wouldn't be a problem"

"Despite the circumstances that led to our divorce I am afraid I can no longer face you" she whispered her head hung in shame.

"I have forgiven you Munayarh"

The words she has been yearning to hear has now been uttered.

She smiled at him while mentally jumping in her head, her plan had worked.

"The baby looks familiar! She looks like someone I know.." Nabila frown in confusion.

"I know right.." Zubaina join.

"That's cause she is my daughter. I and Ahmaad's daughter" She revealed and everyone let out a gasp.

The machines behind Ahmaad start to beep continuously as he struggles for air, in a quick motion the nurse and doctor ran inside the room and sent them out while examining him..

They were losing hope, Again.

Anxiously waiting in the car, Jay glanced at his watch before letting out a loud sigh. He had been waiting for over twenty minutes now and there was still no sign of her. He didn't know if he wronged her but that is something he would never do intentionally. He loved her so much to even think of hurting her

"Excuse me Malam (mister)" he called walking to the gate man who was guarding the house. "Kasan locain da en gidan zasu dawo? (Do you know when the people living in this house will come back?)" He asked and the man shake his head sideways.

"Wallahi bansani ba, kasan asibiti suke. Killa sai dare. (I swear I don't know, you know they are in the hospital so maybe they will be back late at night)"

After thanking the man, he walked back to his car and got in. He tried calling her again but it wasn't reachable, leaning onto the driver's seat he made himself comfortable before drifting into sleep.

He would wait for her there, no matter how long it would take, he would stay.
