|| Castor's POV ||
"Ugh! Is nobody good at making chicken houses these days!" I looked at the chicken house of which I just exploded since, well it was a bad one! Sheesh! Nobody knows the lives of chickens!
'Speaking of chicken houses, I wonder what Jess is up to these days.' I thought to myself and looked at the new hole in the ground I have to clean up. The chickens ran around my feet letting out a bunch of noise as I let out a sigh. I didn't want to rebuild this house, AGAIN! Like seriously its not that had to build a chicken house.
Where was Jess when you needed her, "Castor." Speak of the devil. I looked behind me and saw Jess standing there on the trail to my house with a purple - of course - backpack on her and her normal armor that she wears at her village. But judging by the worried voice and sad eyes, I assumed she had no one with her.
"Jess?" I questioned and looked at Jess who suddenly dropped her backpack than ran straight at me with tears starting to pour out of her eyes, she wrapped her arms around me as I stumbled back at the force she had ran into me with. "Castor! L-Loki- he!" Jess sobbed into my shoulder as my eyes widen in shock at the name she spoke. They had a deal so what did Loki do?!
"What did Loki do?!" I hissed out through my voice as Jess's sobbing slowed down for a second as she stepped back away from me with a few tears running down her face. Her hair fell over her face as her lip quivered the slightest than a white light than Jess turned into her Irene form, which im sure wasn't supposed to look like... That.
Jess's wings where black as her hair was tipped with a red, "Loki did this!" She half screams as her wings spread out to the side and above her head making her seem much taller than before as it created a shadow. "He changed me! It hurts to even pick up mjoinir!"
"Shh... We'll find a solution." I speak quietly to Jess who now had tears running out of her eyes as her wings suddenly fly forward at me. "A solution?! We don't HAVE time for a SOLUTION!" She snaps at me as her wings fluttered forward at me as if it was some kind of warning.
Her eyes morph from anger to guilt and her wings immediately lower, "Sorry... It's seems not just my form has changed..." Jess's mutter was full with sadness and guilt as she spoke. Her hands fiddled with each other as her gaze went to the ground as I stepped closer to her and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Jess, we'll figure out a solution for this. But lets take it slowly, what do you mean by we don't have time?" Her face paled, oh god Jess what happened now?
"W-well...." She froze in her words as the wings on her back disappeared into dust as the light red tints of her hair faded back to a black. "The Few found me..." I blinked at her words. The Few found her? But how? Many questions ran into my mind as Jess looked back up at me with fear bedridden into her eyes as a red tint was around her eyes from the tears.
"Wait does that mean we have to go back?!" Jess let out a small nod and looked back at me, "Yes, of course! But with Loki doing..." She slightly gestured to herself, "this. We need to be with them to figure out whats going on, plus something is apparently attacking them. I have no doubt in my mind that Loki sent them." I easily saw the change in her personality as she stopped talking about herself. Of course she was going to put the Few's needs before her own.
"Jess," I start and look at her with a hidden look of sadness, "I'll be coming. No questions need to be asked." Jess's face soon held a one of relief after I said these words. "Castor... Loki took Alex." She wasn't lying, but Loki was a 3000 year old super villain so I honestly expected he'd try to take some out us down.
Cliché villain much...
"Also whats in the bag?" Her face morphed to confusion at me just sliding the fact Alex was kidnapped as the smallest smile formed on her face. Her head looked back up the small hill at the purple bag, "Mjoinir." "Why?" "I said earlier it hurt for me to hold Mjoinir."
Whatever Loki did was affecting her more than I thought, it must be some kind of spell at this point. "I assume our stop is Phoenix Drop?"
Jess looked up at me and nodded yes with a smile on her face and turned around, only for the earth to start shaking. A panicked look immediately came upon my face as the earth below us had started to shake, Jess looked back at me with wild, panicked eyes as the earth somewhere around us started to crack.
Jess stepped back as soon as she realized a crack in the land was right in front of her, quickly I grabbed her hand and pulled her to me and quickly sped off away with her. Getting away from there as fast as possible.
"Why did a random earthquake just decide to happen?" Her quiet voice questioned as soon as we stopped running and were out of the zone of where the earthquake was happenhands
"Let's not question it, and get back to Phoenix Drop." I gave a small gesture with my hand, but Jess quickly nodded no then held out her hand next to her.
"What about you're chickens?" She titled her head and spoke, leaving me confused. What kind of question was that? Chickens can glide, grass will grow in the new ravines around. They'd be FIINNNEEEE.....
"They can glide, they'll be find." Mjoinir flew into her hands at that second and an easy pang of pain spread into her face after a few seconds of the hammer landing in her hands. "Jess, just call Mjoinir when we arrive at Phoenix Drop." I speak to her calmly and then notice something.
A shadow overhang.
My head immediately snapped to next to us where some kind of creature - looked with a Gawken - roared, or screeched, either or it did NOT seem happy. It was more greenish and slimly and most definitely bigger than a Gawken. They're noises where the slightest different but most definitely relatable.
Thunder and lightning rumbled as the creature cried out at the loud noise and I side glanced at Jess who had a pure look of agony written on her face. Her eyes where wild and crazyed with the look of endless pain and it almost made her eyes look red, little spots of Neatherrack scattered her armor which had a darker shade to it since the monster above us, her hair seemed fried with red tips as it seemed scattered as she held Mjoinir out in front of her as she was frozen and unmoving.
The second she snapped out of it she stumbled backwards with a small cry of pain coming from her mouth as with every moment she moved the pain in her eyes only extended. Quickly I sped over and caught her before she hit the ground, Mjoinir slid out of her hand and hit the ground with a small bang as her armor seemed to gloss over in a white light the second the hammer was out of Jess's grasp.
The creature roared and waved one of its arms onto the ground causing it to crack and I struggle to keep my balance as the ground below me starts to shake. Slowly I lifted Jess up into bridal style and stumbled away from a crack in the ground which Mjoinir seemed to get stuck on the other side of the small crack, I hope Jess will be able to call it to her later.
Turning away from the creature I ran into the forest and stopped to look at Jess, whom had seemed to have fainted. "Must have been of pain." I muttered quietly to myself and looked down at Jess who's armor had still been on.
Trees, trees, trees, and more trees where the only thing in sight. I sighed then set Jess against a tree, carefully making sure she stayed in a sitting like position. I had to find out which part of the forest we where in to find a way out of it. I looked around and saw all the directions I could go, but where should I start?
|| 3th Person POV ||
She watched as Loki stepped away from the cell, making sure he was out of sight she looked over at the man trapped in the same cell and nodded to him, or a secret message as it could be called. Both standing up the man hit the secret button hid on the wall as the wall shifted gears and the window appeared which wasn't a window anymore, but a hole.
She helped build it, stepping up to the "window" with a straight mouth and glinted eyes, she could get out of it.
Getting a running start she slid through the window and landed on the neatherack outside the cells, she held a smirk on her face as she felt her power rush back to her and felt the red hair go back to its usual brown. Blinking she faced the window with the smirk held on her face and looked at the guy, who had his head looking out the window.
'Stand back.'
Feeling her power return to her, rather quickly may she add, but the next thing she was going to do would surely only give them 10 minutes to run. Summoning her black scythe to her hands she grasped her hand around it and saw a spark of fire come from it. Raising it up she slammed it into the ground which sent an explosion at the wall, easily breaking through it.
Ignoring the guy's shocked face, the grin stayed on her face as she spun the scythe in her fingers. "Hurry up, we have limited time here." Watching him nod in response and walk through the rubble she gestured forward with her scythe, "Give me a moment..." He grumbled in response as he finally made it to where she was standing.
"The portal is this way." She spoke into his mind then took off in a sprint with her scythe by her side. He followed along with his superspeed which caused her to glance over at him, whom had slowed down at this point. Jumping up a ledge a smirk brought it's way back to her face. "Super speed... Guess we can go faster then."
"Im fine with that." She heard him respond as she skipped forward and immensely sped up, which caused him to superspeed right after her. Clutching her scythe in her hand as her mind set out the map to the portal, it had only been a few minutes and they weren't that far away. She knew they'd be able to escape here without a fight, well HE would.
Wielding her power again was good enough to make her feel fine, after living in a cage for so long the fresh air felt nice. But she couldn't help but wonder if the outside - or Earth - looked very different or not. Alot can happen in three years.
Seeing the portal the girl slowed down, this was her stop. "The portal." The guy muttered under his breath as the girl heard what he'd had said.
"You go ahead, we don't have much longer until guards will come upon us." He looked over at her, his face staying almost emotionless other than a spark of confusion in his eyes. "This was my stop, I deserve to be in jail."
Finally, after a moment, the question came out of his mouth. "Why do you deserve it? Wouldn't three years be enough?" An uneasy look settled into her eyes as she looked down and the opposite way of the guy as her scythe touched the ground and her eyes going cold.
"I just deserve it!" Screaming through telepathy she clenched her fist, otherwise everything else seemed normal. But, she had hoped her reaction would give the point of she didn't want to talk about it. Looking back forward at the portal, trying to keep him out of her sight as the cold stare spreaded across her face. "We don't have the time to be talking! Hurry up and go!"
"That wasn't smart, trying to run away?" Reacting on instinct she turned around and held her scythe in front of her and saw Loki standing a bit in front of her. Feeling a glare coming to her eyes as she stared at Loki.
"Well, I was planning on coming back. So techinally im just escorting this guy out of here." Sending a nod back at the guy as her mentioned him, yet never rook her eyes off Loki. She couldn't let herself make a stupid mistake such as that, taking your eyes off you're enemy had to be in the book of, "What NOT to do when you're fighting."
Which most likely does not exist, but she didn't care.
"Is this really how it's about the end?" The girl clenched her teeth in anger, she remembered those horrible words. She gripped her scythe in her hands then spun it in front of her, "Never again." The words escaped towards Loki mind with a glare in her eyes, never again would she fall to those words.
"Leave now and break the portal from the outside." The telepathy reached the man who had been behind her, she was ready to give her life, she deserved it.
Yet the next thing she knew, she was yanked off her feet and felt her arm being yanked on, a more amused face of Loki, then the purple color of entering the portal.
