Author's POV:
"Umm.. hey." You awkwardly spoke, waving at Taehyung who blinked a few times trying to process the entire situation. You, Jungkook and Jimin entering the cafe together? Why though?
"What are you doing with them?" He asked as you bit your lips, not knowing how to explain. Jungkook and Jimin sat in front of him as you sat beside Taehyung who smiled slightly at you.
"Look how he's smiling." Jungkook whispered to Jimin who replied, "Knew it."
"Uh so- we're here to discuss the prom. It's in 6 months only." Jimin spoke as Taehyung said, "Cut the crap. Tell me why you both dragged her here."
"Actually... I dragged them here." You spoke in a low voice. Taehyung's eyes immediately softened as he looked at you and asked, "Why though?"
"Look at that tone change!" Jimin whispered to Jungkook who replied, "Knew it."
"Umm... actually, the school's arranging a field trip you know... before the finals as the year is ending. And we can pair in groups with the seniors this year so Jungkoo- I mean, I wanted to go together... with you all and Mina, a group of 5." You said, your eyes nervously moving here and there.
"Jungkook. Spill the truth." Taehyung demanded as you looked at him a little confused. He side-eyed you before holding your hand making your heartbeat raise.
"I know... they're really evil. But I hope you didn't accept their bribes in this plan." You tried not to smile at his expression. He looked like a 90s teacher judging some naughty kids.
"Fine... we could you know.. pair up with some juniors and fling a little-?" Jimin asked as Taehyung sighed.
"Don't make my Y- I mean... don't make my friend, Y/N suffer," Taehyung spoke as your ears were ringing a little. Was he about to say 'My Y/N?' You were a little confused but shrugged it off thinking you were overthinking.
"Yeah sure. But... Y/N would also love her friends to date a little!" Jungkook protested but shut up seeing Taehyung glare at him.
"I agreed with them... too." You said but he didn't really care about whatever plan you were engaged in too.
"Stop overlooking Y/N's one!" Jimin said as Taehyung spoke, "She's innocent unlike you both."
"True that... but still, hey!" Jungkook said in a loud tone as you smiled a little, looking down. They all were debating. You quietly got up and ordered 3 more sugary drinks before coming back and served 2 of them to the boys and kept one for yourself.
"You could've just asked me." Taehyung said as you said, "That's fine."
"Are you both just friends or are you engaged? What's all this romance?!" Jimin asked, making a sour face as you frowned at them. They understood by your expression that you were confused and surprised by the assumptions but sighed.
"Obvious and the oblivious. What a series!" Jungkook whispered, taking a sip of the drink as the debate continued.

"So... I'll inform Mina." You said as Taehyung nodded.
"Sorry if they put you in any trouble. Unlike me, they're dumb." You just nodded at him as Jimin spoke, "I doubt she agrees with you, Tae."
And that was it, he earned another smack from Taehyung as you watched their bickering. You realized how everyone surrounding him had something similar, mischief yet warmth, clownery yet sincerity. And he was the one who brought all that in your life, so easily.
--At night
"See you then." He said as you smiled, nodding. Every day, every time you both hung out, he'd drop you off. No matter how close or far your house was, he made sure you reached home safely.
"Hey umm.." You took a step towards him as he looked at you confused. You stood on your toes and raised your hand to reach his head as he looked at you blankly, his eyes largening a bit. He gulped as you took something from his hair, dusting it off.
"There was some d-dirt on your hair, sorry.." You spoke and backed away as his cheeks heated up along with yours.
"It's okay..." He whispered. He bit his lips as you nervously walked towards your house, waving at him.
"Go safely.." You spoke, in a low voice as he smiled, nodding. He saw you enter your house and slightly touched the place where you held his hair. A slight smile appeared on his face as he bit his lips, walking away in a jolly mood.

Taehyung sighed and paid his respects to his dad's photo frame along with Taewoo who sadly sat down beside him. Taehyung patted his head as he started crying.
"It would've b-been nice if he w-was here.." Taewoo cried out as Taehyung sighed, hugging him.
"Hey, it's okay. He's still there, in a better place, watching us." Taehyung spoke with a smile.
"Hyung... you'll be here, right?" Taewoo asked as Taehyung chuckled saying, "Of course! I will always be here... with all of you. I'm an angel you know~"
"More like a devil," Taewoo mumbled as Taehyung snorted.

Taehyung sighed, sitting on the ground, admiring the flowers when he suddenly felt a figure stand behind him.
"Oh.. hey!" He said, seeing you staring at him a little confused. You randomly came here just to find him sitting there, quietly. You could sense the sadness in his voice and spoke, "Are you okay?"
He didn't answer, just stared at you who sat beside him, confused.
"I came here... randomly. You?" You asked him who looked down saying, "Just...lonely?"
"Lonely?" You asked, he just looked at the sky and then at the flowers. He looked really sad, empty. As if he was holding in something. You hesitated at first but placed your hand on his back, stroking his back lightly as he gulped, looking down.
"It's okay... I'll be here for you." You spoke, gulping a little. He smiled sadly and sighed saying, "Please be... I really need someone to be there f-for me."
You could see him blinking his tears away. You weren't sure why he looked so heartbroken but scooped closer, looking at him quietly. You remembered how that book had advised trying to comfort someone with your sincerity more than words, that was a key to socializing well. Just meaningless words never help.
"Do you need a hug?" You asked him as he looked at you, a little confused, not sure if you were serious. You examined his face before opening your arms for him as he stared at you for a while. He wasn't sure if he should hug you but you hugged him first making him gulp. Your palms were sweating but you were trying to comfort him, in any way you could.
You felt him stiffen a little but slowly he gave in, getting used to your warmth. He hugged you back as you patted his back.
He inhaled your scent and closed his eyes saying, "I always comfort others and become their shoulder to cry on... but it's hard when I h-have no shoulder to cry on."
You sensed that he was holding in his tears. He wasn't someone who'd hold in their feeling for too long or be secretive. But he needed an embrace to find comfort in, he needed ears to listen to him, as perfect and independent as he looked, he also craved a safe place.
"I know... I'm not the best person to... seek comfort from but, I can hear you... well. And I want to be there f-for you so... you should cry on my shoulder." You said, patting him warmly. He was crying. Maybe he really didn't find a shoulder for so long, he was having a hard time.
"It's my dad's... d-death anniversary."
He felt your body straighten as you heard it. You quietly looked down as he continued, "I m-miss him... b-but I need to comfort Taewoo.. m-mom. Who do I cry to?"
"I miss him... H-he was the only one who l-listened to my hardships. H-He taught me how to be self-dependent and c-comfort others, how to be w-warm... but he's not here.. I f-feel alone." He spoke. You hugged him tighter, you couldn't care about whether it was too fast forward or not. He needed it, he really did.
Some time passed by, as he calmed down. You both pulled away as you smiled slightly at him, wiping his tears with your thumb softly.
He closed his eyes, gulping.
"I'm sorry for rambling.." He spoke. You smiled and said, "It's okay."
"Hey... I know, I'm not anyone who can ever be as comforting or... reliable as your dad but... if you need a hug or someone to talk to, you can count on... me. I really want to be.. there for you." You said as he just stared at your hands which were fiddling nervously. He felt how sincere you were, he looked down and then looked at the flowers.
"You know... one day, I was crying because I lost a flower on my way back home. It was a very beautiful flower... from a big tree. But it got lost so I cried so much. Then... my dad said that he had a big surprise for me and he brought me here, in this flower garden. After Jimin and Jungkook, who came here with me when we were kids... you're the first person I've brought here." He said.
You quietly looked at him and said, "So... that's why you love this garden so much."
"Yes... it's really special. My dad was one of the bestest people I've seen in my life." He spoke, his eyes shining with admiration. You smiled a little and looked at the flowers where he was looking.
"I wish I could say about my dad like that. One day, I'd definitely love to meet your dad... maybe not in this world. But in the next world, I'd love to see him... a great dad."
He looked at you and said, "I'll introduce you to him. I'll say that you're a special friend."
"Special?" You asked, looking at him as he smiled saying, "He probably knows already... but you're so special to me. I'd love to introduce my special person to him."
You looked at him, realizing he called you, 'his special person'.
