Her mind wandered, back, back to that raven-haired boy, who's attention she craved more than anything else. Tsubaki sighed, he was probably still holding on to that damned good-bye letter. It had been months since her death, Tsubaki and Kousei went to different schools now (thankfully Tsubaki managed to get into a school near his), but he still refused to let Kaori go.

Kaori, the name brought with it so many emotions. Happiness, Excitement, Jealousy, Anger, Sadness, Acceptance. Remembering her, hurt, which must be why the brunette was in such pain. Tsubaki sighed as she pulled out her phone, maybe talking to him would ease the senseless chatter in the back of her mind, maybe it'd go back to a bearable whisper.

Her finger hovered over the call button, she hadn't really checked which contact she clicked on, she just hoped it was Kousei. It wasn't.

Not really looking, she pressed call anyway.

Kaori Miyazono the caller ID read at the top of the screen, along with her bright smiling face in the background.

Crack

Tsubaki's phone made contact with the floor as she screamed loudly. The girl was freaked, and was convinced this was Kaori's doing (even though there'd be absolutely no way for a dead person to make her do anything) to get back at her one last time.

"Is this what you wanted?! To take Kousei away from me and then mock me about it from the afterlife?! Is making me miserable some stupid fucking joke to you?!" Tsubaki screamed, no one was around to listen, at least she didn't think so.

What she didn't know however, was that there happened to be one black-haired, blue-eyed, boy that had come over to hang out with her. Of course, he had no idea what she was going on about, and either way it didn't matter, Tsubaki screamed about everything. However, hearing the level of emotion in her voice, tipped the boy off that something was wrong.

Knock

Knock

Two soft knocks silenced the screaming brunette, curiously, she got up and looked through the peep hole, only to be met with a raven-haired boy and curious blue eyes. Kousei.

"Tsubaki," his voice was gentle, soft, understanding, "it's only me," somehow, everything about him seemed to follow a melody, a strict pattern that even bled into his mannerisms. Hell even his voice was melodic.

The girl fumbled to get the door open and as soon as she did, she immediately broke down in front of him. She quickly enveloped her arms around him, uncontrollably sobbing into his chest. All of her pent up emotions were finally released into sobs that wracked her chest and echoed in the hallway. Kousei was silent, he just let it all happen, and at some point, Tsubaki had no idea when, she snaked one arm around her, while his free hand stroked her hair.

Kousei never questioned her about her breakdowns, he just let them happen, just listened and was there if she needed a shoulder to cry on. He never asked for anything in return, just sat and listened. Most of the time she'd find him playing, so she'd listen to him play as she cried. Eventually, she'd loose herself within the melancholic melody that was Kousei's playing. It was strange, however, that he kept playing, even after Kaori's death. Obviously, the blonde had spurred something within him to keep him playing, and it was something Tsubaki would never stop being envious of.

"K-Kousei?" Tsubaki's naturally confident loud voice was soft, and cracked slightly.

"Hmm?" he hummed quietly, mostly into her hair.

"D-Do, do you miss her?" she whispered softly, she didn't mention Kaori by name, but she knew Kousei would know who she was referring to. She also knew it hurt him to mention her specifically by name, it made her she seemed less like someone they had moved on from and more like someone they recently lost and could never get back.

Kousei hummed in thought, but never answered. They both knew he missed her, but now Kousei knew, Tsubaki missed her too.
