"Aunt Charlotte?" Called out Patty as the young girl looked up at her other aunt. The stunning electric blue orbs met hers. "Yes, dear?" She turned around to face the girl. "Did you need something?" She asked as Patty was quiet for a few minutes until she spoke up. "What did you mean by your brother teaching you voodoo? And what was that one you used to knock out the agents at ACME to free me and the others?" Charlotte scooped up the girl and held her close. "It's actually quite a story actually. I.. suppose I should start before I met your aunt." The singer took a deep breath and started explaining her story.

(Flashback!)
"Lottie! Guess what I found for ya!" Called out her brother as she came downstairs, her ebony locks long and reaching down to her mid-back, all tied back with a bow that reminded Charles of the deep blue sea, a small present he got from robbing one of his victims' house. "What is it big brother?" Her shimmering blues looking so beautiful with a light amount of pearly peach eyeshadow, contrasting perfectly with her deep orange lipstick.

She had been wearing a royal blue business blazer with the undershirt a shade of black, a matching pencil skirt that went to her mid-thigh as she paired it with black tights and silver stilettos. Her black tie fitted around her neck without being too suffocating. Charles handed her a book as she studied the cover. It was made out of black leather with a large blood red ruby stone set in the middle. "Thanks brother!" The stone started to glow as a shadow woman surrounded her, looking into her deep blues with her purple ones.

Charlotte's breath froze before she slowly calmed down, turning her tiny body around to stare the creature down. To her amazement, the creature bowed down in respect for her? "Brother.. what is this?!" She demanded, her eyes growing a bit wild. "Oh, about that. Your going to learn Louisianan voodoo." He explained. "The book your holding ma'am is a spell book written by the queen of voodoo herself, Marie Laveau, my former mistress before she died." Explained the shadow as the dark-haired woman froze, knowing of the Louisianan queen of voodoo.

(End of flashback!)
"It took the mistress a good long while to get the hang of using it, but eventually, she got used to having new powers." Finished Amaris as she walked in. A month passed since that horrible night as for her reward for helping her rescue the others and Carmen, the shadow woman was given a body of her own. Amaris now had smooth and soft dusky skin, dark black locks tied into a bun at the nape of her neck, her eyes remained a beautiful shade of amethyst.

She wore a black summer dress with accents of blood red and big purple amethysts accentuating it along with a pair of purple ballet flats. Half of the men wanted to ask her out, but she was oblivious to their affections. She was carrying a tray with two cups filled with spring themed drinks since it was already April. Amaris reached over and picked up a tall glass filled with a reddish-purple drink, placing it in front of Charlotte. "Lemon blueberry Daiquiri for the mistress." She mumbled before placing another one in front of Patty. "And for the young mistress, orange strawberry juice."

Charlotte sipped her drink as she frowned. She remembered that a few hours ago that she had a meeting with one of Carmen's villainous rivals so she could acquire information out of them. While she respected and was glad they enjoyed her performances, they were a bit.. condescending and harsh. They first insulted VILE which barely broke her defenses, she knew she had to tolerate whatever they said for the woman that she fell for. But when they insulted her brother, that pushed her over the limit and caused her to turn them into a chipmunk, a squirrel and bluebird respectively. When her girlfriend heard about what happened, she was laughing, holding her sides in pain.

That caused her to take a long swig of her drink as she sighed softly. Thanks to her ability to burn down the alcohol quickly, she was able not to get intoxicated. Placing the empty glass down onto the table, she stood up and went to find her girlfriend which was not hard. Placing herself in her lap as she placed her hands in her own, neatly folded. Carmen looked up and smiled, seeing her free woman, wrapping her arm around her waist and placing her left hand on her knee which was covered by the long skirt of her dainty white dress with ruffles and lace.

It had a Victorian-styled bodice, framed with red jewels and other precious stones. To her, it was like seeing a dark-haired version of Christine from that one opera that Charlotte very much loved. She noticed that the singer clearly looked upset about something and tapped her knee to get her attention. "I know there's something going on in that beautiful head of yours, my beloved rose. What's wrong?" She asked as the woman in her lap sighed softly. "I still can't believe this was all possible. You and me, together on this beautiful spring day, lovers standing side by side, ruling VILE."

She understood that, she really did. "I share your same thoughts, my rose. I was sure I wasn't worthy of your affections, but you showed me that being in love wasn't all bad. When we locked eyes on each other during your concert, I felt as if I knew you for so many years and I had just met you. Over the course of the months that followed, I grew more and more attracted to you. You returned my affections that February evening and I never felt this happy in so many years. Promise me this my jewel.."

Charlotte whispered a small yes as what Carmen said next shook her to her core.

"Don't ever break my heart."
