"We keep this love in a photograph."

Harry held my hand as he walked us out of my building, a small grin on his face when I thanked him for holding the door open for me. I began to head down the sidewalk in the direction of the subway when Harry gripped my elbow, pulling me the opposite way. I looked up at him confusedly when he gestured to the curb, where a sleeked silver Land Range Rover was parked. I watched Harry walk over to it, fishing the keys out of his pocket before unlocking the car.

"You got a car?" I asked with raised eyebrows, eyeing the luxurious vehicle as I approached it. He opened the passenger door for me as he looked back at me with a small smile. He chuckled at seeing my face and shook his head.

"No, this is Anthony's car. He let me borrow it for the day."

I whistled lowly, passing Harry as I climbed into the passenger seat. He closed the door behind me and jogged around the front of the car, pausing to look both ways of the street before walking to his door and hopping inside. I observed the inside, the smell of new leather filling my nostrils when I took a glance at the nice stereo. "This car is nice as hell."

"Right? Apparently it was a graduation present."

"Lucky him." I mused and Harry nodded, slipping the keys into the ignition and turning on the left hand signal.

"I'm actually thinking of getting a car." He shared before quickly swerving into the street. I watched him lick his lips, one hand holding the steering wheel while the other reached up to push his shortened hair back.

"What happened to your car from back home?"

"Mum uses it now," He said, quickly glancing at me before staring back at the road. "She couldn't really drive before so we didn't have to worry about sharing. But now that she's all better she needed a car too so I just left it with her."

"Ah," I nodded in understanding, crossing one leg over the other as I looked out the window to see the pedestrians on the sidewalk when we stopped at a red light. "Do you know what kind of car you want?"

"I don't know. There's a few I like, the Dodge Durango, Ford Explorer, Ford Expedition, GMC Terrain." He shrugged. "This one is nice too. But it all depends on what I can afford. I'm still looking into it."

I nodded, reaching over to fiddle with the radio. "I'm surprised Anthony let you borrow his car."

"I was too. But he offered and I did need it, with where I'm taking you and all."

My eyes slid over to him to see a smirk pulling on his lips, eyes filled with amusement as he stared ahead of us. I sent a glare at the side of his face and he laughed as if he could feel it. "You suck for not telling me."

"I'm just trying to be cute with surprising you." He smiled, quickly looking over at me when he reached for my hand. Intertwining our fingers together and bringing them up to his mouth, turning the back of my hand towards him and placing a quick kiss to it. "Patience, love."

"Can you at least tell me how long the drive is?"

"About an hour."

I mentally tried to picture a map of New York in my head but I hadn't lived in the city long enough to know it that well. Chewing on my lip, I tilted my head and watched as Harry merged onto the freeway. I watched the city become smaller in the rearview mirror and squinted my eyes in thought. "So...we're going somewhere away from the city." I stated in observation and Harry briefly looked at me with a frown. He grunted in response and I smiled, knowing I got it right.

"Stop trying to figure it out and let me just surprise you." He whined and I laughed, not thinking twice as I leaned over the middle console to plant a quick kiss to his cheek. He smelled like his intoxicating cologne and I lingered there for a moment, knowing It might be creepy to be basking in his scent. I pulled back abruptly and sat back, his finger rubbing circles over the back of my hand.

"Fine. But I get to play whatever music I want then and you can't complain." I said in affirmation, reaching for the auxiliary cord when I spotted it. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to work the touch screen but when I saw the word AUX I smiled in triumph before clicking it. Plugging the cord into my phone before scrolling through my music.

"You better not play some bubblegum pop shit."

Arching my eyebrow, I slowly looked to Harry who was raising his eyebrow right back at me. I scoffed, and without saying another word pressed on my pop album. I grinned evilly when the beginning of an old Justin Bieber song began to play and Harry groaned when he heard the lyrics.

"You know you love me,

I know you care,

Just shout whenever,

And I'll be there."

I sang along and Harry shook his head, his face twisted uncomfortably at the music. I let it play for a few more seconds before I laughed loudly and pressed the pause button on my phone. My laughs consumed the car and Harry's face turned from a scowl into a wide smile, eyes darting to me just as I leant my head back against the seat still giggling at the look he had held on his face.

"You should have seen your face."

"I can't stand that song," He shook his head but there was still a smile plastered on his lips. "But it was worth hearing you laugh like that."

I merely smile at his response before looking back down at my phone to scroll through my other songs. Finally settling on one of my favorite album's, I click shuffle for the songs and set my phone down when the music starts playing. The lyrics hadn't even started yet, just the sound of the base thumping through the car speakers when Harry glances at me quickly while grinning.

"You like Ed?"

"Love him." I nodded and smiled just as the lyrics to Don't come on. "I've always wanted to see him play live."

"Hm," He hums and nods. "What's your favorite song?"

"Out of this album or out of all the songs he's ever done?"

"The ones he's ever done."

I think for a moment then shrug. "I have too many, but I guess 'Kiss Me' and 'Photograph'."

"'Photograph' is one of mine too." He says and smiles. "'Afire Love' is my favorite though."

"That song made me cry when I first heard it." I laugh and Harry does too, his cheeks flushing when he bites his lip and looks at me for a moment in shyness.

"I did too, If I'm being honest."

I stop laughing when his face grows somber and I furrow my eyebrows in confusion. "How come?"

He doesn't answer right away, his hand around the steering wheel tightening before he sighs. "My granddad passed from Alzheimer's when I was fifteen and when I heard the song it just brought back a lot of memories from before he died I guess."

Suddenly not knowing what to say I stay quiet, surprised with this piece of information. I grow sad picturing a fifteen-year-old Harry not only dealing with his mum being sick, but also having to watch his grandfather lose his memory. My chest clenched at the image being painted in my head and I wished that I had been close to him then, so I could have been there for him as a friend. "I didn't know. I'm sorry Harry." I finally say quietly and he looks away from the road for a moment, a small smile growing on his lips. He shakes his head and squeezes my hand.

"It's alright, love. It happened three years ago and I've moved on. I just miss him sometimes and that's okay." He nods to himself and presses his lips together, eyes darting back to me when the next song plays. "Hey, look. It's your favorite song."

I laugh when I hear the beginning of 'Photograph' playing and Harry grins. The camera in my purse comes to mind when I see the dimple puncturing his cheek and with my free hand, I reach for it. I point the camera at him just as he's lifting the back of my hand to kiss it again and snap the picture. He glances at me when he hears it, the widest and most beautiful smile adorning his face. "How fitting to take a photograph during this song."

"I can be cheesy sometimes." I pull the picture out once it's done processing, looking at it as it starts to dry and little by little the picture starts to clear.

"You going to keep it in the pocket of your ripped jeans?"

I laugh, tossing my head back and I catch him watching me again. Constantly darting his eyes back and forth between the road and I. "Now who's the cheesy one?"

"Me." He says instantly, smiling like a little boy. I shake my head, holding the picture up as I slide down in my seat. My heart warms when it clears enough for me to see Harry's sharp jaw and pink lips puckered against the back of my hand. His ring clad fingers glint in the lighting of the picture and his eyelashes are outlined with the sun peeking in from the window beside him. I smile at the picture and reach into my purse to pull out my wallet, switching my license out of the ID holder to carefully slide the photograph in. I smile at it, the clear plastic allowing it to be the first thing I see now whenever I open my wallet.

"Okay, so maybe not your ripped jeans then." Harry says beside me and I look over to see him glancing down at my wallet with pink cheeks and a happy grin. "Wallet works too."

I laugh and close my wallet before putting it back in my purse, dropping my camera into it as well. I lean my head against the back of the seat again, tilting it to stare at Harry. His eyes are on the road but his mouth twitches into a knowing smirk, hand squeezing mine in acknowledgement. I've never felt as happy as I did in that moment. With my favorite song playing, my favorite person holding my hand, I think I might have been the happiest I've ever been in those few minutes. And we weren't even doing anything extraordinary.

Grinning at the thought I sighed and closed my eyes, Harry's fingers constantly running over the back of mine. "Wake me up when we get there?"

"Sure, love. Take a nap."

I nodded, not opening my eyes but I didn't think I could get any happier. Until I felt Harry's lips on the back of my hand again. Then I was proved wrong.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Still groggy from waking up from the short nap I took, I was blinking at our surroundings as Harry parked the car. I didn't recognize where we were and I hesitantly climbed out of the car when Harry opened the door for me. He held his hand out, an amused smirk on his face at seeing my confusion as he reached for my purse that was still on the car floor.

"Think you might need this love." He held the long strap up, my arm lifting as he slung it across my body before shutting the car door. It beeped behind us as he locked it and he reached for my hand, intertwining our fingers as he lead the way across the dirt. My gaze swept across the land until I looked ahead of us, my eyes settling on the line of trees Harry was leading us towards when my feet came to a halt. I stared at it, teeth chewing on my bottom lip when the scene reminded me of the woods by the cabin. Harry paused when he felt me go still, eyebrows pulling together when he followed my line of vision to see me staring at the trees.

"Em, it's just a trail. You'll be okay." He said softly, realizing why I was hesitating.

"It looks like..." I started off when he interuppted me.

"I know. But that's just the outside. I promise you, on the other side it looks nothing like that." I didn't say anything and he squeezed my hand, stepping towards me and blocking my view from the trees. He tilted my chin up with his forefinger, green eyes capturing my brown ones. "You trust me, right?"

"Yes." I answered automatically and he smiled faintly, leaning forward to press his lips against my forehead.

"Then trust that I would never put you in danger."

I breathed in through my nose, slowly nodding and allowing Harry to pull me further. We slowly walked towards the trail and the bright sun disappeared when we walked through the tree lines. For a brief second I felt fear, but then just as quick as it had came it was gone when I saw the long path ahead of us. There were trees lining it on each side, all of them still holding their green leaves. A few held some that had changed to red with fall starting and I stared wide eyed as the lighting of it all. The sun casting a light in the spaces between leaves on the trees. My hand itched for my camera and Harry turned to look at me over his shoulder, smiling when he saw the look on my face.

"Go ahead. Take a picture."

And I did. I took about ten different ones the further we walked, even sneaking a few of Harry when he wasn't looking. He had been staring up at one of the trees, chin and jaw defined as he tilted his head back while green eyes shined with the sun hitting them. He caught me just after I took the picture and I blushed tremendously when he smiled at me.

We walked for I don't know how long but I wasn't complaining. It was so peaceful and beautiful, it didn't even matter to me that we had barely talked while walking. We were both stuck in our own thoughts but it was nice. I liked that Harry and I didn't necessarily always have to talk when we were around each other. We could just be, and that wasn't something I found I could often do when I was around other people.

Once we neared the end of the path, I had thought we'd head back towards the car when Harry suddenly tugged on my hand to pull me off to the side. I looked up at him in surprise, watching him look down the path behind us where a few other people were walking. They were too distracted with conversations so they didn't notice when Harry pulled me through the trees, off the trail and into unknown territory. I felt my palms break into a sweat and my gaze darted around, expecting to find an animal jumping out at us.

"Harry..." I said quietly, afraid if I spoke to loud a bear would hear us. "What are you doing? We shouldn't go off the path."

"We'll be fine, Em."

"We could get lost." I said in a panic, tugging back on Harry's hand. "Harry, come on. Let's go back."

He stopped, turning around to look at me with a tilted head. "You trust me?"

"Yes, but-"

"Then just follow me." He said and when he turned to walk again, not hearing me behind him he paused with another glance over his shoulder. "Em, I've done this before. I know where I'm going, we won't get lost."

"We could get caught." I said quietly and his mouth twitched into a smirk.

"There's no sign that says we couldn't go off the trail."

"Yes there was! It was back there!" I point through the trees but Harry's smirk only grows and his eyes are twinkling with something close to danger.

"So what? Come on baby, live a little."

A shiver ran down my spine at the seductive way he said those few words and I gulped. Glancing behind me anxiously, my eyes fell on the people I could see walking down the path through the trees but they couldn't see us. I shook my head to myself, sighing in surrender before I turned to follow Harry. He was grinning from ear to ear and I rolled my eyes at him, taking his hand when he held it out to me.

"We better not get eaten by a bear."

He laughed. "There's no bears here love." And just when my shoulders sag with relief he smirks. "Wolves? Maybe."

I stopped dead in my tracks, turning abruptly to walk back when Harry laughed loudly and pulled me back. He wrapped his arms around me from behind, arms crossing over my chest when he leaned down to kiss my temple. Lips hovering near my ear he chuckled once more. "I'm kidding baby. There's no wolves."

"You're a dick."

"Mm, one who fancies you very much though." He whispered, pressing another kiss to the side of my head. "I promise nothing is going to hurt us out here. And if something did, I'd die before I'd let anything happen to you. Okay?"

My heart was beating fast at his proclamation and even though part of me still worried about wild animals, I could only nod robotically. "Okay."

"Come on then. I just want to show you something and then we can leave before it gets dark."

I nodded and he turned me around, pulling me along with him through the forest. It wasn't as scary as I had assumed it would be and a few minutes later I was admiring every bit of nature my eyes fell on. It wasn't until we had stepped around a large bush did we come across a beautiful waterfall that I gasped at seeing. I released Harry's hand, eagerly taking pictures of the view. He leant back against a tree, smiling from ear to ear as he watched me move around to take pictures from different angles. I was pocketing them one after the other but I didn't forget to turn around and quickly snap a picture of Harry leaning against the tree. He shook his head in amusement when I did, pushing himself away from the tree to reach for my camera. I tried to lift it above my head so he couldn't reach it but then laughed loudly when he plucked it right out of my hand with no difficulty. I didn't know what he was doing until I heard the camera processing the picture and I tried to calm down, stepping closer to see the picture he was looking down at.

It was one of me, with my head turned away and laughing hysterically over the fact I forgot he was taller than me and my attempt at having him jump for the camera was a bust. I smiled at seeing it, my cheeks flaming when I looked up to see Harry smiling at the picture. He lifted his head, eyes catching mine before he suddenly gripped the back of my neck and crashed my lips against his. The kiss was short and took me by surprise but it still left me a little lightheaded, my eyes staring up at him in a daze when he grinned down at me. "You're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. I'm keeping this picture, love."

"Okay." I could only whisper and he handed my camera back to me, slipping the now dried picture into his back pocket. I took a few more quick pictures before I let Harry lead me away again, his hand on the small of my back when we had to climb a few rocks. He refused to walk ahead of me, fearing I would slip and telling me he'd be right behind me to catch me if I did. When we reached the top of the small steep hill over the rocks, Harry grabbed my hand again and pulled me through a few more trees. I knew something was on the other side of it because Harry was grinning like a mad man before we even got there. Though, when we did I finally understood why.

There on the outside of the tree lining was a meadow, one that nearly took my breath away. The grass stopped mid calf, purple flowers mixed in with it and in the distance stood a tree with a tire tied to a thick tree branch to use as a swing. The small hill left this side of land higher up, so we could see the mountains on the other side and the sun beginning to lower from it being mid afternoon. It was so pretty, that I felt getting this on film wasn't even enough to capture the true beauty of it.

"Wow." I whispered and Harry nodded, releasing my hand to stuff his hands into his pockets. He sighed, staring off into the view with this look I couldn't describe.

"I know. I thought you might like it."

"How did you find this place?"

He shrugged, licking his lips before glancing at me. "I went exploring when I first arrived to New York. Came to visit here when I heard a lot of people talking about the trail. But I went off the path and found this place."

"Do you come here a lot?"

"Sometimes. If I need to think with out any interruptions, then yeah I come here."

"It's so pretty." I sighed, reaching for my camera to take a picture of the distance. Harry smiled, walking ahead of me through the grass. It brushed against his calves as he did, and again, I found myself aiming the camera at him. This time he hadn't acknowledged me when I did and I followed behind him, watching as he lead me to where the tire hung. He walked around it, holding it with a smile on his face as he carefully slipped his body through the hole. He was tall enough to use his toes to push himself off the ground and it swung slowly. He was grinning like a little boy and even though my fingers itched to take another picture of him, I think just enjoying the moment would be the best way to keep this memory.

"I feel like a kid."

"You look like one." I smiled, turning to walk beside the tree trunk. There were a bunch of different carvings in it, the evidence of other people being here engraved in the tree. I found myself staring at the drawings, readings the names and I snapped a picture of a heart with two people's initials between a plus sign.

"Do you think they're still together?" I said out loud, unsure if I was asking myself or Harry but he answered anyway.

"I like to think so." He said, still swinging on the tire.

"Maybe they aren't." I mumbled, frowning when I traced my finger around the heart. "I picture them being two teens who were so in love with each other they wanted to leave this behind, even if they weren't going to last."

"You don't think they lasted?"

"No." I said, letting my hand fall from the trunk before turning to meet Harry's curious eyes. "Most relationships don't during the teenage years."

"Is that what you believe?"

I shrug, looking back at the heart until my eyes drift to a small sentence carved beneath it; Sydney, I'll love you until this tree burns to the ground.
Even long after that.

"My parents met when they were seventeen, and look at them." I said, reaching for my camera again to take a picture of the words I had just read. "It's hard to believe something will last that long, especially if you meet someone at a young age."

"Don't let your parents influence the way you see love, Em." He said quietly and I forced myself to meet his eyes. "It can last. It all depends on how much both people fight to keep the relationship together."

"But sometimes that's not enough."

"It is. How can something fail if neither one of them give up?" He asked, tilting his head. "It can't." He nodded and his gaze slid to the tree trunk. "That's why I like to think those two people are still together. And even if they're not, I think who ever 'G' is still loves Sydney. The tree's still standing, after all."

My lips twitched into a smile at his words and I turned around, leaning my back against the tree as I watched him. For a few minutes he said nothing as he continued to push himself, lost in thought but I found his gaze constantly drifting to the sentence on the tree. I wondered if he really believed two people could meet at a young age, fall in love, and still love each other fifty years later.

"Yes."

I blinked, my eyebrows drawing together in confusion and my mouth gaping open when I found him staring at me intensely.

"What?"

"Yes, I believe two people can fall in love at a young age and still love each other fifty years later." He said and I felt my face heat in embarrassment that I had actually said what I was thinking out loud. "It's rare these days. But I do believe it can happen."

"But do you think they'd actually stay together?" I asked despite my red face. "Maybe two people can love each other for that long, but do you think they'd last?"

"Definitely." He said with no hesitation, arms crossing over the top of the tire. His swinging slowed, and his tongue poked out to lick his lips. "It's probably hard work but I think if both people do their best to fight for their relationship and remember the reason they're together in the first place, then it can last."

I felt my stomach stir with butterflies with the way he was staring at me and I looked away shyly. I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear, biting my lip and glancing across at the view again. "I hope you're right." I said quietly. He didn't respond but he stood from the tire swing, holding it with both hands before waving me over.

"Come on, you should get on." He said, changing the subject but I didn't mind. I eyed the tire from where I stood, looking up at the rope that held it to make sure it wouldn't break. "If it can hold me it'll hold you."

"Fine." I walked over to him and hung the strap of my camera around my neck. He moved aside but held the tire for me as I lifted a leg to slip inside the hole. I struggled getting in but once I was about to pull my other leg up, the rope of the tire snapped and the tire fell. I squealed, losing my balance on my other leg and falling flat on my ass. I groaned loudly and then, I heard Harry burst into laughter.

Slowly pushing myself up to a sitting position, I stared up at Harry who stood near my feet laughing like he'd just seen the funniest thing. I glared at him, and when he looked at me and saw the look on my face he fell into another fit of laughter. I huffed, standing back onto my feet and brushing the grass off my ass while Harry was still bent over laughing. He stood up, trying to catch his breath when he chuckled more. Reaching for my hair he plucked a piece of grass out of it, when I smacked his hand away. He only kept laughing and though I was glaring at him and pouting, my lips were fighting to smile at his constant chuckles. When he managed to open his eyes enough, I saw that there were tears coming out of them and his dimples were splitting across his face. Eyes pinched in the corners, and I lifted my camera quickly to capture it all.

"Stop laughing." I said after dropping the camera back to hang around my neck. He laughed more when he met my eye and this time, my glare was real when every single time he looked at me he'd just start all over. "Harry, stop."

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry." He said between laughs, holding his chest with his palm splayed out over it. "You should have seen your face. You fell flat on your ass like a pancake hitting a pan." He bursted into laughter again and this time, I stepped forward to shove him. Due to his own clumsiness, he tripped over his own feet and fell back into the grass. I expected him to groan in pain but he was still laughing, if not harder now. I stepped towards him, my feet on each of his sides as I looked down at him. His eyes were nearly closed from the wide smile on his face, one hand reaching to hold my ankle.

"I deserved that, I'm sorry baby." He cooed and I was smiling even though I was sending him a glare with my eyes. His laughs had died down and he was trying to breathe properly, mouth hanging open as low chuckles came out. The grass and purple flowers surrounded him and my smile turned from amused, to fondness. I didn't even think about it when I reached for my camera again, pointing it towards him. My finger rested on the button and just as it did, Harry lifted his paw covered fist up to his eye, tilting his head slightly as he rubbed it to wipe the tears. I hurriedly snapped the picture, reaching for the photograph when it processed. I stayed standing where I was, my eyes eagerly waiting to see the picture and once it started to clear it felt like my heart could burst from how much I loved this picture of him. It was so perfect, looking at it made me feel all warm and fuzzy and I wanted nothing more than to kiss him after seeing the smile plastered on his face in the picture. He looked so happy, so carefree and full of life. It was beautiful. He was so beautiful.

"Em." He tapped my calf and I tore my eyes away from the picture to look back down at him. He had finally calmed down and was looking up at me in a content smile, hands suddenly pushing on my calves until I fell onto him. He rolled us around in the grass, pushing himself up on his hands to look down at me. "I'm sorry I laughed."

"Yeah, you should be. It's not my fault I'm fat."

Instantly, the smile on his face was wiped away and he was staring down at me with serious eyes. "Hey. You are not fat."

I rolled my eyes. "I'm not that thin either."

"So what?" He asked, craning his neck to get a better look at me. "I happen to love your body. Your curves are sexy as fuck."

"What about my cellulite?" I grinned and his lips twitched into a smile, eyes glinting when he steadily looked down my body.

"Love that too just as much." He said, leaning down to brush his lips against my cheek. "You're absolutely perfect. And I'm sorry if I made you self conscious for a moment, though you shouldn't be."

"Maybe not, but the rope breaking might of been a sign I need to cut back on the junk food."

He rolled his eyes, planting a quick kiss to my lips. "Eat all the junk you want. I'd still want you just as much as I do now, even if you got fat."

"You're just saying that." I whispered with a small smile and he shook his head, leaning down to bury his face into my neck. My fingers slipped into the hair atop his head, lightly scratching with my nails and I felt him sigh against my skin.

"I'm not. I like you, so much. And nothing is going to ever change that."

I didn't say anything else after that. My heart was beating too damn fast that I was sure he could feel it against him. Butterflies were crowding my stomach and every cell in my body was igniting with electricity. I couldn't say anything, afraid that if I did that three words I knew I had always felt towards him would slip out of my mouth. So I kept quiet, wondering if maybe Harry and I could be those two people who lasted fifty years from now.
