"Neil moves his head closer to avni while She stands frozen clenching her Saree more tight , from both fear & excitement".

Seeing her nervousness, Neil leaned in a little closer, and joined their heads so that his forehead rests against hers. Their eyes were closed & breaths became ubnormal as some sort of sexual tension started to built up between two. There was beautiful silence all along until Avni started to speak.

"Thank you Neil ," she says in barely more than a whisper.

"For what? Avni " He replies, his voice was uneven .

"There are more than thousands reasons for which I'm thankful to you ". She says in exhilarated voice from the tension between them.

"Say any one of them. I would love to hear praises from your mouth avni ". Neil replies mischievously planting a feathery kisses on her both eyes which were already closed due to nervousness .

"Self obsessed officer". Avni mumbled under her breath.

"I heard that ". Neil says kissing the tip of her sharp nose which instantly turned red.

"Then, I'm not gonna say anything ". She replies , Her voice was low.

"You have too ". he said huskily rubbing her bare waist sensuously earning a small gasp from Avni's mouth.

Neil smirked evilly leaning downwards from her nose and he was about to seal her soft lips for a kiss but his serious work was disturbed by someone's phone call.

Both parted away nervously listening to the loud ringtone of Neil's phone.

Neil groaned with frustration while avni came out from his grip &she stood aside blushing as she realized how they both drowned into the world of intimacy though it was disturbed.

"Who the hell is calling me now? I swear I'm not gonna leave those who spoiled my blissful moment".Neil cursed them under his breath while avni flushed red listening to his small murmurs.

Then Neil saw caller ID, automatically his face formed a "I-will-kill-you" expression.

"Sirji..... Where are you? I was hell worried as you didn't answered my calls from last 10 minutes ". Dd said concerned while Neil gritted his teeth with irritation .

"Dd ke bache. First thing I'm fine here . But ,you know what's the second thing" .Neil asked sarcastically.

" Neil sir, How would I know your thoughts ,aphi batao ". Dd laughs not realizing the situation Neil faced coz of him.

"The second thing is you're not going to be fine because in tomorrow's paper their would be your death news as today I'm gonna kill you . Neil says annoyed.

"what?, sirji.....kiyuuuuu".dd asked amused.

"Stop calling me until tomorrow as I'm pretty busy. "Gadha kahika ". Neil shouted cutting the call before dd replies.

After ending phone . Neil turned to see avni who is lost in her own thoughts. he went near and placed his hand on her shoulders. Sensing Neils touch Avni's lips curved broadly.

"Mmm.. Avni.. I think We should go from here ". Neil said looking at her.

"But where?". Avni asked clueless.

"Hmm.. To.. my.. house ". He said after taking a deep sigh as he well Know whats coming next.

"What? are you serious? I'm not gonna come to your home. Please take me to the place where everyone is there ". Avni yelled, though she doesn't want to leave him but the thought of " what society will think " disturbed her mind.

"I don't know anything .I want you to come to my house for today. tomorrow you can go wherever you want I won't stop you .But for today please come with me ". Neil pleaded with hopeful eyes coz he doesn't want to force her.

After alot of thinking avni said yes.

"I'll come but after ,you have to send me to the place where everyone is there ". Avni said sternly .

"Okay! " . Neil replied sighing a huge relief.

"Sorry, avni . Tomorrow You are not going anywhere Coz I'll not allow you to leave me ". But his chain of thoughts were interrupted by Avni's voice.

"Neil... Chale "

"ya let's go ". Neil replied & took her towards the car as a gentleman he opened the car door &made her sit On front seat beside him . Later he came towards driver seat.

"Avni where seatbelt ". said Neil Turing the car .

Avni scuffled to wear belt as it was her first time traveling in car. Avni's hands struggled around the leather . she tried alot but invain.

"What happened avni?" .Neil asked observing her struggle.

"Mmm.. vo ..mmm.. I don't know how to wear this " . She replied fumbling.

"It's OK .I'll make you wear ". He said moving close to her.

Avni's breath hitched as soon as she felt Neil's warm hands on her stomach. Suddenly her breaths became uneven yet she tried to calm herself.

Neil sensed Avni's loud breaths ,for him it didn't took a minute to understood her feelings. As a simple tease he intentionally rubbed his fingers over her bellybutton earing a small moan from her mouth.

"uhmmm " avni moaned biting her lower lip as she felt Neil's hands rubbing over her bellybutton. She couldn't stop her self moaning as his simple touch made havoc in her body.

When he completed buckling of her seat belt .Neil had a victorious smile on his face as he understood his touch effects her so badly.

"you drive me nuts avni . You really don't have idea ,what I wanted to do with you now. But I have to wait for that ". Neil thinks while a tint of red blush appeared on his cheeks.

Later, Neil started to drive towards his house. He opened the car windows as he wants avni to see the outside world.

Avni started to look outside . Her face turned into red, tears streamed through her orbs watching the huge buildings which were glittered with fluorescent lights , the sound of vehicles & yummy aroma of street food . Especially The feeling of breathing the natural air made her remind the days when she used to leave happily with her family with out any stress&pain.

Watching the sight infront avni started to sob silently but it is audible enough to hear. Neil felt so bad but now he doesn't want her to stop it's because he wants her to let her heart out so that she could reduce the burden. Seeing her pain he himself know how much he was controlling himself to not to cry. But soon his body panicked when he heard her silent cries turned into large sobs.

Neil applied breaks & he quickly unbuckled his seat belt as well hers. Immediately without a second wait he took her into a bone crushing hug ,embracing her half body around him. Avni burried her head into the crook of his neck crying .While he caressed her back to calm down.

"Shhh! Avni clam down. It's OK... It's OK ". Neil said ruffling her hairs softly.

"Ne.. Ne. Neil ". Avni whimpered breathlessly.

"Avni it's OK. why are you crying huh! You're my strong avni right! Don't cry ". Neil tried to console her as he felt his shoulder wet with her uncontrollable tears.

"Neil.. It's been two years that I.. I'm.. Fe...fe..eling outside air... Tw... Two years Neil... ". Avni cried loud clinging into his chest. Neil looked helpless as he couldn't take her pain.

After what felt like ages they parted from each other. But their individual heart's doesn't want to lose the warmth of their care.

"Avni it's OK. Now you're out from that hell.& I'm here right then why are crying. I'll take care of you .please don't cry I can't see you like this ". Neil said wiping her tears with his thumb .

Avni just hmmed in response.Neil observed her sadness then an idea popped In his mind so he started to go outside from car.

"Neil where are you going? ". Avni asked being nervous.

"I'll just come in minutes. Don't come outside okay ".he replied shutting the car door behind .

After sometime Neil came back with chocolate ice- cream & soft drink in his hands.

"Avni , eat it You will feel so good ". Neil said giving her ice-cream.

"No it's OK I'm fine ".she tried to avoid.

"iknow you haven't ate anything from morning . So please eat for me..pleasezzz ". He requested with puppy eyes.

Avni just smiled at his Antics . Soon she began to eat as she was indeed hungry meanwhile Neil started his drive towards destination . There was comfortable silence between two. in between Neil stealed glances at avni who is cutely eating ice-cream making some weird sounds. There was utter silence until Neil's question amused avni.

"Avni ,what is your size ? Neil asked concentrating on his drive.

As soon as avni heard that weird question from Neil. She chocked out the ice-cream. Neil immediately applied break & gave her water to drink.

"What happened avni ? Did I ask something wrong " he said raising his brows.

"How could you even ask my size? Avni asked with disbelief as well she was hell embarrassed.

"Hello don't get any unwanted ideas .i was just asking because you didn't have proper clothing & now I want to buy some stuff but I can't take you to shop as you're all messed. ". Neil said crossing his arms .

"Hoo ". She said lowering her gaze .

"Yea .did you thought anything else? .Neil asked teasingly with a smirk.

"N..oo.. Not..nothing like that " avni says fumbling while Neil smiled watching her tomato face.

Avni gave information hesitatingly afterthat Neil insisted her not to come outside & he went to near by shop. After good thirty minutes Neil came back with bags.

"you can check if you want. it's because if you don't like anything I will change now itself ". Neil said handling bags to avni.

" No it's OK. I know Your choice would be good ". She says with smile.

Neil ruffled his hair's blushing as her simple words made him crazy. In a little while both reached to Neil's apartment & he took avni towards his flat which was on 5th floor. As soon as they reached Avni saw the name plate at the side of door scribbled boldly with the name of "ACPNeil khanna". Looking that cute smiled appeared on her face . Neil opened the lock and they both entered inside.

Avni observed the whole flat which was all neat & clean. When she was about to ask about Neil's family suddenly light went off.

"Neil... Neil... "avni shouted at the top of her lungs as she had phobia of darkness.

"Avni I'm here only " Neil replied finding candles but on other side avni started to shiver with fear.

"Ne..ne... Neil.. please come to me.I'm scared please! where are you... Please come I m s..S.. Scared ". Avni cried loudly .Neil rushed towards her in darkness as soon he heard her panicking voice . He didn't understood what has happened to her at sudden.

"Neil please whhh.. Are.. You ". Avni sobbed breathing hard.

"I'm here only infront of you avni " Neil said placing his hand on her shoulder.

Avni was all scared but when she saw Neil .she hugged him tight & started crying.

"Avni.,what happened to you? Why are you crying ". Neil asked concerned patting her back softly.

"Please don't leave me alone.. I'm scared of dark .please Neil don't go anywhere. Please don't leave me alone.pleasssee... She said burying her head into Neil's chest.

" Avni, let's go to my room until light comes". He said as he understood the situation . He picked her up and took towards his room and layed her on soft mattress carefully.

He sat beside her caressing her hairs.
What happened to her? Why at once she is behaving like that? questions raised In his mind soon his trance was broken as lights came.

He looked at avni who was blankly watching the ceiling. Tiny Tears drops rolled through the corner of her eyes continuously. She looked lifeless.
Neil felt some string pain at his heart when he looked her pale face drenched with salt tears.Unable to bear her silence Neil started to speak.

"What happened avni? Are you scared of darkness? He asked wiping the sweat beads from her forehead.

Avni stayed silent not looking at him,but tears made their own way from her eyes making Neil panic.

"Please, share your pain avni it will lessen your burden . Please don't do this to me,Your tears make me week. Please share with me. I'll always be beside you ". He said softly caressing her hairs while avni looked him with tears eyes.

Slowly avni woke up with the help of Neil. Her face became more pale than usual.

"You know Neil ,I wasn't a girl who is scared of darkness but my life of two years made me so much week that now even I'm scared of little things ". Avni said looking at Neil while he entwined his hand with her.

"Do you want to know why I'm scared of darkness? Himmat hai suneki?she asked numbly.

Neil slightly nodded his head sighing her to continue .

"One year back ,one day I got to know I was pregnant with unknown father " avni said numbly . Neil was carefully listening to her but deep inside he was crying learning her each pain.

"On that time, I don't know whether I should be happy that I'm going to be mother of child or should be sad as it was mistake done by some person who used me. Actually ,I was happy because God gives women a beautiful opportunity to bring innocent souls to the world. But in my case I was having child in my womb who is formed from forced relation. but "child is child right"? . So I didn't bothered about how I got pregnant. I was just happy thinking I would give life to some pure soul. Until..

Avni stopped at this as her voice chocked .Neil understood this and he brought her body closer to his chest assuring her his love . As soon as she felt Neil's warmth she burried her head into his chest and she started to speak again.

"After that women came to know I was pregnant & she ordered me to abort baby. I protested , because their is no fault of child here then how could I even think to kill that pour soul. But my efforts in front of them are too small. Without my knowledge next day They gave me food of certain drug which would kill baby & I lost my pregnancy. Realising that I confronted them but in punishment they throwerd me into the dark room.
Neil, trust me there wasn't no source of light &air . Insects ,files crawled on my skin .I heard sounds of rats ,
Don't know may be there were too on my body. They put me in their for three whole days with out giving water &food . but atlast I was lack of breath.I was in edge of death but they saved me at nick time. You know Neil for the first time that day I felt I would have died so that I could have live my life in heaven without any assalut ".avni says sobbing.
While Neil wasn't in a good state. His face had uncontrollable tears . Her every past is stabbing him like a knifes. He even doesn't know how many tortures she beared in that hell. He only knew someparts.

"From now avni won't cry remembering her painful past because I'll heal her pain with my care &love .I promise avni I'll bring happiness & joy in your life ". Neil thinks to himself

Avni calms a bit as now she felt light sharing her pain. Seeing her being again normal. Neil made her sit straight facing him.

"And from now no cries ,Coz I'm here for you ". Neil says planting a soft kiss on her forehead.

Avni smiled with glassy eyes.

Then he gets up from bed and brings the clothes that he bought for her.

"Go & take bath avni. You will feel heaven then, we will have our dinner okay! ". He says handling pjs & towel.

Avni silently nods & goes to washroom.

After sometime avni comes after taking hot shower. She felt freshness in her body. Avni stood in front of mirror watching herself in pajamas which Neil's selected.

"Wow! Officer's selection is too good". She says admiring herself in mirror.

But Lil bit she knew ,someone else too watching her beauty from back.

"Yea, you're correct. Police vala hu choice bhi ache hongae na ". Neil says walking to her from door step.

Avni's eyes widened as she doesn't know Neil was here.

"When did you came ? ".she questions.

"10 minutes back ". He replied casually placing his hands In his trousers.

"Then why didn't you spoke anything when you were here from 10minutes". She frowned as Neil heard her talks.

"I was watching you.... I mean... Iwas listening your praises for me " he says smirking.

Avni glares him.

"Hello, why are you glaring me &yea see how cute you're looking in these red pjs .just like shimla apple ". Neil says crossing his arms.

"I know I'm cute. I don't need your compliments ". Saying this avni goes outside royally ignoring him .

"what the... ? ". Neil laughed at himself .

Later both had dinner but there was utter silence which was unbearable to Neil. He wants her to open up to him but she wasn't. After dinner avneil came back to room. Right then Neil observed something which he failed to notice till now.
Her body has red -purple bruises along from neck to her wrists.

"Did that bastard... ! . Now I'm not having any regret killing that moron". Thinking this Neil made avni sit on couch went back to bring ointment.

"Neil what are you doing? " asked avni being clueless about his stunts.

"Are you blind or what? See you have this much of bruises on your body but you aren't care yourself huh! ". Neil scolded as she didn't told about her injuries.

"hmm.. Are you angry with me ?". Avni askes pouting . He sees her puppy face.

"Please don't do that! " Neil says not looking at her.

"What? " she asked confused.

"Oh this girl is making me impatient.
Right now all I want is to kiss her pouted lips senselessly . ugh ! Neil stop thinking about it ".

"Say na Neil are you angry with me ? " she says in a low tone.

"Nah! I could never be angry with you apple ". He says applying ointment on her neck which was all bruised red due to harsh bites .

Avni could only look at him lovingly, as lone pair of tear escaped from her eyes. she immediately wiped off before Neil could have observed .

"Anywhere else you have bruises ". He asked blowing air on lesions.

"No " avni lied.

"Okay . Now sleep I know you are tired " saying this Neil layed her on bed & he was about to go but Avni held his hand.

"Please don't leave me alone. I'm ...I'm.. scared ". She whispered lowering her head.

"Avni I'm not going anywhere. I'll sleep on couch okay. If you want anything wake me up " he said smiling.

With that avni immediately drifted into sleep as she was hell tired but for Neil Sleep was so far from him. He was thinking what could have happened if dd wasn't there .

"I know you have bruises on various places which you don't wanna show to me avni ". He thinks looking at avni who is sleeping cutely.

After thirty minutes Neil wakes up & goes towards bed. Realizing her deep slumber Neil sits beside caressing her hairs. Later he charily hiked her top a little upwards only to witness red purple scars on her white navel. His heart ached seeing that.

He immediately planted feathery kisses all over her belly not waking her up. Then, he squeezed the ointment tube taking the white cream on his fingers & applied slowly on over the red marks.

Tears flowed from his eyes continuously as he saw red hands prints On her soft waist.

"How could even God give pain to such a poor soul who thinks killing a baby is sin, instead she was forced in bed by that person ". Thinking this Neil looked at avni who is sleeping peacefully with a round pout. Seeing her ,his worries just evaporated like a boiling water.

" How cute she looks when she is sleeps . Oh God ! that pink pout.. that is testing my hormones now. I just wanna kiss that "

He tried alot to distract himself thinking about dangerous thoughts but his mind overpowered betraying his body.

Neil moved closer cupping her cheeks with both of his hands and right then he pressed his lips softly with her pink pout not disturbing her sleep.

He sucked her gently yet passionate savoring on her lips while avni wasn't in senses to even move courtesy to her deep slumber due to tiredness.

Licking her upper lip Neil tasted her plump lips thoroughly . After kissing her for good 10 minutes Neil spared her with wide satisfaction on his face.

"I won't regret kissing you like this ,it's because I know you're mine avni & I love you ". He mumbled perking her lips again.

"Tomorrow is going to be big day for both of us avni. Don't know how you would react when I reveal something big to you & I just hope you won't misunderstand me for the surprise I have planned for you ".

Saying this he softly kissed her forehead & called someone. Later he drifted to sleep on coach .
