In a foreign land, far far away, there was a pretty, young woman called Mirella. She had a unique gift; she could feel the wind's direction. She could feel the gentle breeze on her skin and the storming anger of the wind that flew in and out of a window. It was not about the strength of the wind, no. She could feel the slightest current in her skin, as if the wind was embracing her in its arms, like a hug from a long-lost friend.
Mirella lived her life like a normal girl. She went to school and after, she went to university...
"Great." A female voice sounded annoyed as a ring was heard from her bag.
"What is it now, Lucas?" she asked, annoyed.
And she had a right to be. She was currently sitting on a bench and reading her favorite book once again, 'Don't say words, just feel the wind.'. It had been a while since the wide park stopped buzzing with people, and she had finally found her peace, but that damned phone was ringing.
And she was very angry about it too.
"Woah, girl, chill. I just wanted to inform you about a new client that is all..." Lucas sounded worried, but after Alicia sighed and closed her book, he knew that he had, once again, interrupted her reading.
"Good, I don't care right now. I'm hanging up," she announced as she stood up, fed up with all the work she had to do every day.
Becoming a lawyer will bring money, and money brings happiness. Bullshit. She wasn't happy at all right now.
She started walking down a stone-paved path to her home, but a thought came out to mind after she heard her belly growl like a renewed T-Rex toy.
"What should I have for lunch?" she asked herself.
She continued walking now, but her destination was not her house. It was her favorite place to eat. It was fairly close to her house, and she walked right up to the store. After seeing the delicious food there, she didn't think twice before opening the store's door. The bell jingled as she went in with a big smile on her face.
She wouldn't pass any chance on a yummy meal. She grinned and walked up to place her order. On the counter was usually a nice lady there, who over the years, has given Alicia more motherly love than her real mother.
Alicia would smile at the old woman. She looked down to choose her order. She glared at the tasteful cakes behind the furniture glass like she was a wolf creeping out on innocent sheep.
"Would you like to order something, miss?" A male voice sounded from behind her, and she jumped in fright.
"Where is the old lady? Who are you? And what did you do to her?!" she growled as she pointed a finger at him, accusingly after turning her head to look at him.
The man was taken a little aback by her attack and placed his hands in the air, a sign of peace and surrender.
"I didn't do anything, miss. Patryna is at home. She said she had gardening to do." The man smiled as he saw Alicia's wheels turn.
Alicia was now very much embarrassed. Her dark brown skin brightened a little, and she was glad no one could see her blush. She didn't bring her gaze up to him yet, though. She just continued looking at the pastries in front of her.
She pushed herself closer to the furniture glass, so she could see what else they had, but instead of that, a warm smell of vanilla and bourbon hit her nostrils and she sniffed the air like a little rabbit.
She liked that scent, it smelled manly too. That got her confused, and she immediately brought her gaze to the man.
"Well?" he chirped with a raised eyebrow.
Alicia pouted, annoyed by the look on his face. The man was sure annoying her.
"I think I'd like a lemon cake and some of those delicious cupcakes." Alicia nodded at her excellent choice, but then she turned to the man behind her.
"But that is not in your concern, sir, now, is it?"
She glanced up at him, now, really looking at him. His blue oceanic eyes and his auburn hair made her gasp a little in surprise. He was also twice her size.
"What a good-looking man." she thought to herself and blinked a few times to get out of her trance.
The man smiled at her, and she felt a pang in her heart. A sign, a warning sign to stay away from this man. As far as possible. She wanted this man, that was for sure, though. Even if she didn't know it at that time.
He seemed older than her, looking like the mature man from one of the books she was reading.
Her eyes were wandering around his body like she would do when she imagined a character in a book. She was surely staring now.
She noticed his hands, and you could tell by the looks of them that they were the hands of a hard worker, yet she fantasized about them doing wonders on her delicate body.
Her long black hair swang slightly with the wind, and she was glad she didn't wear her favorite white wig today.
The man was still there, looking right back at her with a longing gaze painted into his blue eyes.
Who is this man? She wondered to herself. He felt familiar, but she knew she had never met him before.
His eyes scanned her beautiful face as he thought that this woman was the most beautiful one he had ever seen in his life.
It felt as if they were stuck in a dreamy fantasy and couldn't gaze away from each other.
Both knew what they had felt at that moment and both knew that someone had to speak up to avoid the awkwardness that would be coming next. But the man was a smooth talker, and he wanted her to be talking to him for a long while.
