*Chapter 39: First Date

Freen found herself glancing at the time, her fingers lightly tapping against the armrest of the cushioned chair in her room. As the appointed hour neared, Freen's anticipation grew. Every passing second felt like an eternity, her senses heightened as she would soon be making her way over to Rebecca's chamber to pick her up for their date.

As the clock ticked on, Freen couldn't help but wonder how Rebecca would react to the surprises she had planned. The decorated alcove in the library, the hidden notes in the books and the personal letter all filled Freen with a sense of excitement. She knew deep in her heart that Rebecca would appreciate the thought and effort she had put into each surprise. Freen couldn't wait to see her expression, the way her eyes would light up with joy, and the warmth that would fill the room as they shared the moment.

With a steadying breath, Freen rose from her seat, and made her way to Rebecca's chambers. The corridor felt longer than usual, each step making her anticipation grow.

Finally, she stood before the door to Rebecca's chamber. Her heart was hammering against her chest and Freen had to take a moment to compose herself. Taking a deep breath, Freen raised her hand and knocked gently on the door, her knuckles tapping gently against the door's surface.

The door opened, revealing Rebecca's figure framed within the doorway. Her eyes widened with surprise and delight as she took in Rebecca's appearance. Freen couldn't help but be captivated by the way Rebecca's face lit up with a smile, and her heart swelled with love and joy.

Her heart skipped a beat as she stepped forward to greet Rebecca's, her fingers gently intertwining with Rebecca's. "You look so beautiful," Freen's voice was a soft breath, carrying a mixture of wonder and awe.

A soft blush graced Rebecca's check. "Thank you. So do you Freen," Rebecca replied, her voice equally hushed.

Freen couldn't help but smile at Rebecca's response. Her gaze lingered on Rebecca's features, taking in every detail that she had come to adore. Then with a gentle squeeze of Rebecca's hand, she asked, "Are you ready for our date?"

Rebecca nodded, a soft smile gracing her lips. "I am! I've been looking forward to today," she admitted, her gaze never leaving Freen's.

Rebecca leaned in, placing a tender kiss on Freen's cheek. "I can't wait to see what you have in store for us," she whispered, her breath warm against Freen's ear.

Freen returned the kiss with a soft one on Rebecca's forehead. "Then let's not keep you waiting any longer," she said with a smile.

With their hands tightly entwined, Freen took the lead, guiding them through the palace halls. As they walked, both couldn't help but steal shy, affectionate glances at each other. It was a new experience, being able to openly express their affection and desire, and the warmth of their entwined fingers sent a thrill through them both.

Rebecca's cheeks were tinged with a soft blush, and her smile seemed to brighten with each step they took together. She felt like she was walking on air, her heart soaring with the knowledge that they were finally free to be themselves... at least for the day.

As they reached the entrance to the grand library, Freen took another quick glance at Rebecca to see her curious expression. She pushed open the library's massive wooden doors and led Rebecca to the alcove. With a soft smile, Freen let go of their hands and held the sheer drapes open, allowing Rebecca to step inside.

The sight that greeted them left Rebecca breathless. The alcove Freen had prepared was bathed in the soft, warm glow of the fairy lights, and the translucent drapes gently swayed in the breeze from the open windows. A tray of tea and delicate pastries was placed on the table and the scent of fresh flowers and something uniquely Freen filled the air. It was a scene straight out of a fairytale, a world within a world.

Rebecca's eyes were wide, her lips parted in silent awe as she took in the alcove that Freen had decorated. She stepped closer, her fingers brushing the delicate drapes that swayed in the gentle breeze. "Freen, this is... incredible!" she breathed, her voice filled with awe.

Freen's heart swelled at Rebecca's reaction. "I'm glad you think so! I wanted to create a space just for us in the library," she confessed, her heart brimming with happiness.

Taking a step closer, Freen gestured to the shelves. "I've selected some books that I think you might enjoy. I thought we could have a relaxing date and enjoy our time together with something we both enjoy."

Rebecca's eyes sparkled with intrigue as she surveyed the collection of books. "That sounds wonderful, Freen. I can't think of a more thoughtful way to spend our time," she replied, her voice soft with emotion.

Rebecca's fingers brushed against the pages of several books trying to figure out what she wanted to read.

"I thought we could start with this book," Freen suggested. "I remember how engrossed you were in that book when I found you in the library that day."

Rebecca's gaze met Freen' a mixture of surprise and delight in her eyes. "You remembered?"

Freen nodded, her smile a tender affirmation. "Of course. I pay attention to the things that light up your eyes."

Rebecca's smile widened, her fingers tracing the spine of the book Freen had suggested. "I can't believe you went through all this trouble for us," she said, her tone filled with gratitude.

Freen reached out, her hand finding Rebecca's. "It was my pleasure. I wanted today to be special for us," she replied, a soft smile gracing her lips.

Rebecca's gaze softened, and she intertwined her fingers with Freen's. "You've more than succeeded," she murmured, her eyes never leaving Freen's.

With a fond smile, Freen watched as Rebecca leaned in to give her a quick peck on the lips before they settled down on the cushions.

Freen reached for the teapot on the table and poured them both a cup, the porcelain cups clinking softly against the saucers as she placed them on the low table before them. The steam rising from the cups carried the fragrant aroma of the blend they had both come to enjoy.

Rebecca accepted her tea with a grateful smile and took a sip, allowing the soothing warmth to wash over her. Freen, too, picked up her cup of tea, and they started to read the book Freen had selected.

Rebecca couldn't help but be swept away by the tale, but even more so by the warmth and presence of the woman beside her. As they turned the pages together, their fingers would occasionally brush in passing. She couldn't resist sneaking glances at Freen whenever this happened. Freen, too, would steal glances at Rebecca whenever their fingers brushed or when she thought Rebecca was particularly engrossed in the story.

As the story unfolded, Freen found herself sharing snippets of her own childhood adventures. Of course, they weren't as adventurous as the story but her stories still held a charm of their own. Freen's stories painted vivid pictures of her younger self, running through fields and exploring hidden nooks in the castle, with a hint of mischief and a lot of laughter.

Rebecca found herself drawn to Freen's every word, captivated not just by the adventures themselves, but by the way Freen's eyes sparkled with nostalgia as she recounted each memory.

As Rebecca read a particularly engrossing passage, her fingers brushed against something unexpected—an envelope nestled between the pages of the book. Her brows furrowed in surprise, curiosity sparking in her eyes. She carefully retrieved the envelope, her heart racing as she looked to Frn's for an explanation.

"What is this?" she asked, her voice laced with curiosity.

"I wrote that for you," Freen confessed softly.

With a gentle smile, Freen nodded, encouraging Rebecca to open the envelope. Rebecca's breath hitched as she broke the seal and withdrew the handwritten note within. Her gaze skimmed over the words, and her breath caught in her throat at the message before her:

"In the journey of hearts that become one, I'm a chapter that's yet to be told, a future together, precious like gold."

Rebecca's eyes lifted from the note, meeting Freen's gaze with a mixture of surprise and affection. "Freen..." her voice was a soft whisper, heavy with emotion. "I.. I don't know what to say...,'' she murmured, her voice filled with wonder. "This is the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for me."

Freen's fingers trembled slightly as she took a sip of her tea trying to hide her nervousness.

"I'm just glad you liked it," Freen replied, her voice soft yet filled with a tinge of nervousness. "I wanted to express how much you mean to me, and I thought writing it down might do it justice."

"Each one of these books in here holds a hidden note, a piece of my heart that I wanted to share with you," she revealed, her eyes locking with Rebecca's in an unspoken promise. "I hope that if I am not there when you are feeling sad or angry, you'll be able to find my note in these books and I hope that it will help you at least a little."

Rebecca's heart swelled as she looked back down at the note. After a moment, Rebecca gently squeezed Freen's hand. "This means more to me than I can express," she finally whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "You've filled my world with such love and warmth, Freen."

Freen's gaze softened, and she squeezed Rebecca's hand in return. "You deserve every bit of it, Rebecca. I just wanted to show you how much you mean to me."

Rebecca, unable to find the words to express her feelings, leaned in closer to Freen and gave her a soft, lingering kiss.

Freen eagerly accepted, kissing her back just as softly. However, the kiss ended too fast for Freen, leaving her wanting more. She gazed into Rebecca's eyes, her own filled with an unspoken plea for more.

"More? ... Please?" Freen asked hopefully, her voice barely above a whisper.

Rebecca giggled softly and put her arms around Freen pulling her closer to give her another kiss.

As they kissed, Freen's hands moved down to Rebecca's side and she pulled her into her lap causing Rebecca to let out a surprised gasp.

Freen kept Rebecca in her lap with her hands still on her hips but she looked at Rebecca to see if this was okay.

"I... I've never done this before... I mean making out this intense out in the open," Rebecca said nervously.

"I'm sorry. Should I stop?" Freen asked worriedly.

"Don't be sorry," Rebecca replied back shyly with a slight blush spreading to her cheeks. "It's nice... And I don't mind if it's with you."

Freen's eyes softened with relief and affection as she heard Rebecca's words.

"Ever since you kissed me so passionately that night... when you were in heat" Rebecca confessed, her voice so soft that even Freen could barely hear, "I couldn't help but think about it. It's been on my mind a lot lately."

Freen's heart fluttered at Rebecca's confession, a rush of warmth flooding her chest. She leaned in, her lips ghosting over Rebecca's ear as she murmured, "I've been thinking about it too. About you, about us... I haven't been able to get you out of my head either."

Rebecca's breath caught at Freen's words, her cheeks flushing a deeper shade of pink. Her blush deepened as Freen tilted her face up to stare at her lovingly. When Rebecca thought that she couldn't handle it anymore, Freen leaned in and captured her lips in a sweet and passionate kiss, sending shivers of delight down her spine.

Their kiss lingered until they both had to break apart for air. However Freen didn't stop there. She leaned in again, this time taking Rebecca's lower lip between her teeth and pulling it gently.

Rebecca moaned softly, her hand running through Freen's hair as she returned the kiss. She felt Freen't tongue slip past her lips and caress her, teasing her. Her body tingled as Freen slowly explored her mouth with her tongue.

Rebecca suddenly felt Freen's hand slide up her leg and she whimpered softly, her breathing getting heavier. She tried to pull away from Freen but Freen wouldn't let her. Instead, she grabbed hold of Rebecca's bottom lip between her teeth and tugged gently.

Rebecca let out a soft gasp as she felt Freen's hand move up under her dress and rest on her thigh.

When their lips finally parted, Freen looked into Rebecca's eyes. "You okay? Was that too much?" Freen whispered.

Rebecca's breath was ragged as she gazed into Freen's eyes. "It was... a little intense," she admitted, her voice soft and filled with a hint of surprise, "...but I also liked it. It's just that it took me by surprise.

Freen leaned in, her lips grazing Rebecca's ear as she whispered, "I'm sorry, I got carried away. I just can't help myself when I'm with you."

Rebecca chuckled softly, a warm smile on her face. "Well, I can't say I didn't enjoy it. It's just that we're in the library, and I didn't expect this to happen here."

Freen grinned mischievously, her eyes gleaming with a playful spark. "In a library full of stories, why shouldn't we create our own?" she whispered back, her voice barely more than a breath.

Rebecca's heart fluttered at Freen's words, her cheeks flushing a deeper shade of pink.

"I suppose you have a point," Rebecca replied, a playful glint in her eye. "I never thought I'd find romance among the bookshelves, but I guess there's a first time for everything."

Freen's laughter was soft and full of joy as she leaned in to kiss Rebecca again.

------------

Their fingers entwined, Rebecca returned back to the note. She turned the note over and found a space at the back where she could write her own response.

With a soft smile, she penned her words, pouring her feelings onto the parchment. When she was done, she carefully tucked the note back into the envelope and placed it back between the pages of the book, letting it rest where it had been waiting.

As the day stretched, Freen and Rebecca continued to share stories and laughter. Time seemed to fly by fast as Freen and Rebecca were in each other's company. The tea cups were now empty, their contents savored along with the memories they had created earlier.

With a wistful smile, Freen turned her gaze to the books that still lay on the low table. "Rebecca's, there's another story I'd like to share with you," she said softly, her voice carrying a hint of anticipation.

Rebecca's eyes sparkled with curiosity as she met Freen's gaze. "Another story? I'm intrigued."

Freen reached for a book titled "Underneath the Shade of Our Own Story" and held it out to Rebecca. "I thought we could read this one together next. It sounds romantic and I couldn't help but think about you."

Rebecca's eyes widened with delight as she took the book from Freen. She gently caressed the cover with her fingers, a warm smile gracing her lips. "That's so sweet, Freen. I'd love to read it with you."

Meanwhile, as the two princesses were immersed in their reading, a subtle signal had been sent through the palace staff, a phrase that Freen had devised: "Underneath the shade of our own story." This phrase was the key to unlocking the next surprise that Freen had planned—a picturesque picnic in the palace gardens.

Unbeknownst to Rebecca, the palace staff had been working diligently to set the stage for the outdoor feast. A soft blanket had been spread beneath the shade of a grand old tree. And a tray of delectable dishes, a variety of teas, and refreshing beverages were carefully arranged on the blanket.

----------------------------------

As Freen was reading the story, Rebecca's fingers played absentmindedly with the edges of the book as she listened to Freen's voice. There was something magical about the moment, as if they were characters within their own story, caught in a narrative of their own making.

Just as Freen read a particularly poignant passage, a soft, melodic chime broke through the air. Both princesses turned their heads in surprise, their attention shifting from the book to the source of the sound.

From the entrance of the alcove, a member of the palace staff approached them with quiet steps, a tray of freshly brewed tea in hand. The china cups glistened in the golden light, steam curling gently from the fragrant brew.

The member of the palace staff placed the tray of tea on the low table next to the princesses. "Tea for two, Your Highnesses," she said with a respectful nod.

Freen exchanged a brief exchange of words with the staff member, their voices hushed. As the staff member gently refilled their tea cups, she leaned in to Freen and whispered, "Underneath the shade of our own story."

Freen's eyes sparkled with understanding, and she offered a grateful nod. "Thank you."

With a smile, the staff member withdrew, leaving Freen and Rebecca alone once again.

Freen turned her attention back to Rebecca, her heart brimming with excitement. "Rebecca, there's something else I'd like to share with you. Would you be like to take stroll through the palace gardens with me?"

Rebecca's eyes lit up, her smile as radiant as the sun itself. "I would love to."

"Shall we?" Freen suggested with a gentle smile, extending her hand toward Rebecca.

Rebecca's fingers intertwined with Freen's, the touch sparking a cascade of emotions. "Lead the way," she replied, her eyes never leaving Freen's.
