Itachi's POV 🎸

"What makes you say that?" I heard Ryobo ask.

"During the past few days, ever since Toriel's sudden kidnap and disappearance, Euna hasn't nabbed any of us. I think it was a trap to lure Toriel over to her, using you as the bait." I mentioned.

For a moment, Ryobo was silent on his end, probably thinking about something.

"I strongly think you're right. Because when I was kidnapped and still under Euna's manipulation, I heard her mentioning that I lured Toriel in, before I couldn't hear anything anymore." He spoke up next.

Looking over at Alphys, as I was listening to Ryobo through the communicator, she was nodding her head in agreement after I mentioned what Euna was probably doing before the kidnapping happened.

She must be thinking the same thing that I'm thinking too.

"So, what should we do if that shiny object isn't dangerous?" I asked.

"We'll investigate it together. Just wait until me, Undyne, and Sans are down there." Ryobo answered.

"Alright." I went before we both got off.

Then we continued our way.

But the only question that is going through our heads is...

"What is it about Toriel that made Euna decide to kidnap her, when she could've kidnapped any monster out there in the Underground, other than her?"

Toriel's POV 🥧

After what felt like a while, I gained consciousness, not remembering anything that happened, other than the memory of when Euna gave me the dry erase board with the marker and the eraser.

Unfortunately, everything was blurry. So, I could barely see anything.

Something doesn't feel right at all though.

Almost like I got my answer, I suddenly felt a sharp pain circulate through my arms and my chest, making me let out a pained gasp.

The moment I felt the pain, I can't help but think something's inside me.

I'm not sure, but, it felt like it.

Almost like it's trying to consume me.

"W̷̢̛h̴̹͌ȧ̶̗t̷̙̍'̴̖̏s̸̓͜ ̷͖͝g̸̳̈ȯ̵̼i̸̟͝n̴͉͂g̸͕͠ ̶̤̀o̷̭͛n̸̡̓ ̶͎͝w̶͇̄i̴̻̋ẗ̶̝́h̵̖̊ ̶͉̔m̸̱̋e̵͎͠?̵̼͊" I spoke to myself, my voice sounding glitchy and almost like another person was inside me, talking at the same time I'm talking.

Looking over my arms, I noticed black on them, it looking like the same way when I felt the pain...Consuming me.

But, when I turned my arm over, I froze.

The veins and arteries inside my wrist were glowing magenta, as the same colored liquid from the IV, I'm currently hooked up to, was still in the process of doing it's job.

Not something you'd commonly see as a ordinary or an everyday thing from your body and an IV.

Quickly looking away from my arm and the IV, I clutched my head while I sat up carefully, as I got a headache that's already hurting so much, it felt like my head was splitting even though it isn't.

"Ahh...It's been so long since something like this has happened decades ago." I heard a female voice echo, making me jolt my head up at that.

"Who's there?!" I asked, getting no response, as the room was silent.

"Don't mind me. I'm just a voice in your head." I heard it echo again, making me realize what the voice just said.

"In your head? Then, that voice is in my head, if I can hear it, but no one else can." I said to myself again as I stared at the blankets.

Then I decided to try something.

I laid back down and rested my head on the pillow before shutting my eyes, entering into my consciousness.

"Who are you?" I thought.

"My name is..." The voice began.

But, when the voice said their name, I couldn't hear it and the voice sounded really glitchy when mentioning their name.

"What?" I went, feeling confused.

"Forget it. It won't do you any good anyways to try to know my name, because you wouldn't be able to hear it when I say it." The voice sighed.

"I understand. But, what's going on here?" I asked the voice, before my body suddenly pulsated, making me collapse after feeling a sharp pain circulate through my body.

"That pain you're feeling inside your body, is what's going on. Euna's trying to awaken something in you that isn't supposed to be awakened at all, Toriel." The voice says while I was shaking in pain.

"I w-want to k-know what it is, so, I-I can stop it...But, I doubt you're gonna tell me anyways." I said as I looked at the darkness from where I heard the voice.

"Precisely. It is taboo for even me to say it, despite the fact that it'll tell you what it is itself and the fear of me accidentally awakening it a lot more faster than what Euna's doing to you..." The voice replied in agreement.

"I can understand that too." I replied.

"You should head back and wake yourself up, before you start to get consumed by the darkness quickly." The voice said before I snapped awake and carefully sat up.

Looking over myself and my arms again, it was easy for me to tell that the 'darkness' the voice had mentioned to and warned me earlier, is already trying to spread more quickly and consume me faster.

"Hey...How do I get rid of this 'darkness' that's slowly spreading inside and outside of my body?" I thought to myself, asking the voice.

Silence.

"You there, voice?" I thought again.

No response.

"Damn it! I needed some answers! How am I gonna figure this out on my own?!" I said to myself as I clutched my hair in frustration.

I wanted to go back into my consciousness and ask the voice again, but, I didn't want to risk it after the voice told me what'll happen to me if I go into my consciousness and remain in there for a long period of time.

Lying back down on the bed, I tried to think up a plan on what I should do to escape and reaching out in need of help on getting rid of the darkness from me and my body.

Unfortunately, my thoughts were interrupted when I heard footsteps approaching the door.

Not knowing what I should do, I closed my eyes and pretended that I was still unconscious or asleep.

Hearing a click before the sound of the door opening, I heard the same footsteps again, only they're entering and in the room.

For a moment, everything was silent, as I just laid still.
