34| A Strange Feeling
Ryobo's POV ❄️
As I teleported back to the cabin me and Toriel were staying in, I started looking in the drawers and a few other places to see if there was any gold left behind so I can pay the monster for letting us stay and what not, as long as we needed to.
Just returning the favor, y'know?
After finding some gold, I counted them, seeing that they were enough to cover the stuff we needed to pay for.
Heading to the front of the cabin, I thanked the monster for letting us stay there, before handing the gold to them.
"No, it's okay. You can keep it, since I've already been paid." The monster chuckled.
"Oh! Well, alright then..." I went before putting the money away. "Thanks."
"No problem. I recommend using it at times you need it though." He replied, making me nod in understanding.
"Take care." I said as I waved goodbye to them.
The monster waved back before I turned away and headed back to the others.
Toriel's POV 🥧
As a few days had passed, I couldn't help but notice that something feels...wrong. About that woman, who looks like me, but isn't me.
And when I would go to sleep, I'm always getting really weird dreams. I'm mostly in it and I've mentioned it to Euna a lot after I recovered and able to regain my voice again once I was told by herself what her name is.
Everything was still fuzzy, as I heard someone calling my name out to me in the dream, after it became more frequent.
When I tried to get closer to the person who was calling my name out, I would feel something restrain me back from approaching them, which was these neon pink chains that somehow appeared occasionally out of nowhere too and are always wrapped around my wrists tightly.
Ever since I was with Euna, I felt like she was caring about and for me like I was her daughter or something, which I'm a hundred percent sure that I'm not her daughter.
For one thing, I look and act nothing like her, no matter how much she looks like me but different.
Plus, she's given me a dress I can change into, that looks a lot like hers.
I wore it all the time, despite how comfortable it felt on me too.
I sat there on the chair as I thought about it, while picking at my dinner that Euna made for me, which is my favorite food...Cooked snails.
"Toriel, is everything alright? You're not eating your food like how you normally would..." Euna asked me, showing a bit of concern, as I looked at her.
I didn't say anything and just sat in silence, while I looked away.
"Did you lose your voice again?" Euna asked me, not dropping her concern.
"NO!" I said as I suddenly stood up before slamming my hands on the table, knocking the chair over, while tears of anger fell from my eyes.
Me and Euna just stared at each other in the eyes for a few seconds, as Euna mostly had a startled look on her face, before I stormed out of the room and went in the bedroom Euna made for me, as I slammed the door behind my back.
Then I just had my back against the wall, as I slid down to the floor and pulled my knees close to my chest, before hugging them tightly while I buried my face in them.
I couldn't stop the tears falling from my eyes as I stared at the floor.
"Why do I keep having dreams like this constantly?! And why do I always feel like something is really wrong here all the time?!?!" I snarled in rage as I clenched my head in frustration.
"I just want to know what that dream meant and what this feeling is, that keeps constantly telling me something isn't right!"
After that, I just sighed before throwing my pillow at the bed, still feeling really frustrated.
As if right on cue, I suddenly heard a knock on my bedroom door, which it's obvious who it is.
"What do you want?" I sighed heavily as I opened the door and looked at Euna.
"I just wanted to ask you if you're alright, Toriel...You seem really stressed out about something." Euna says as she looks at me.
"No...I'm not fine at all." I replied as I sighed heavily again, as tears appeared in my eyes a little before letting Euna in my room and closing the door behind her, while wiping the tears away.
Euna, then, sat down on my bed until she gestured me to come over and sit with her, which I had no problem doing so.
"Now, could you tell me what's going on and upsetting you...?" She asked.
Then I told her what's been happening to me the past several days, up until now, before and when I regained my voice.
Euna was silent for a moment before she sighed and pulled me into a hug to comfort me, in which I had no hesitation in returning the hug.
I could feel Euna rub my back soothingly with her cold, soft hands as I was hugging her tightly.
"I'll be right back with something for you. Okay?" Euna says as she looked while ruffling me by the head a little before she stopped.
I nodded in response to that, after fixing my hair up.
"Good girl..." Euna went before smiling as she got up and left the room.
After what felt like a few minutes, Euna came back with my favorite drink as she had hers with her.
"Here..." She says before handing the cup to me, as she sat back down next to me.
"Thanks. I was actually starting to feel a bit thirsty, now that you mentioned the drinks." I replied as I smiled a bit. "It should help me feel a bit better."
Euna nodded before she began to drank hers.
After I drank mine, I suddenly gasped out in pain while I was halfway finished with it, before I dropped the glass, shattering it as I was coughing hard.
I could only yell out in pain next as I felt the pain circulate through my head, while my vision was suddenly getting blurry.
Then everything went dark as I passed out, hearing the faint sound of a madwoman's laughter echoing through my head after that.
