"There always are two sides to a story. No one cared for my side!"- Zulekha Akram.
MEANWHILE ON ALL GIRLS TRIP IN MADRID, SPAIN...
A 10.
A literal 10 on 10.
That's one of the many ways one could easily describe Zulekha Akram.
Only and only when it came to looks.
Nothing else.
Starting off with...
Her extremely long and heavy locks of hair.
They were ebony black and a bit way too silky. Hair so beautiful that it could easily put Rapunzel to shame.
Then came her large brown eyes that were nothing short of fetching.
Eyes that had been accentuated a bit way too much with the use of fake lashes and extensions.
Not wanting to mention, her rose bud lips that were heavily glossed with the most daring shade of red, which easily caught anyone and everyone's attention even from literal miles away.
Trying to delve into even the miniature details of her Korean like skin, would easily lead to literally anyone questioning their entire life's existence.
Glass like glowing skin that had however been layered and layered with nothing but tonnes and tonnes of well-done makeup.
Last but not least...
Came her perfectly sculpted cute little nose.
Followed by an even better carved or should I say curved body.
A figure nothing short of a literal hour glass.
One whose each and every curve was brought out by the most figure hugging dress ever.
Lounging in one of the most expensive seven star hotels in Spain, Zulekha elegantly sipped on overly exorbitant red wine as she very much absent-mindedly listened to her circle do what they did best.
Gossip!
Their so called gossip or should I say 'tea' arraying from the crème de la crème to the very bottom of the barrel.
As the 'tea' got hotter and hotter, it of course got to a scalding point, meaning it wasn't long before a name was very much inevitably mentioned, which caused Zulekha to instantly down the entire glass of wine down her throat.
That name.
That so called name.
The name of her Husband.
Hisham Hosseini.
Rudely ushering for a waiter to get her another glass, which she quickly chugged down followed by another and another and just as she was about to grab the entire bottle for herself, her friend Stefaniya quickly tried to stop her by saying...
"Please! Its been years, Zulekha!"
Hot tears immediately stained her eyes and a few even trickled down her face and as soon as a loud sob escaped her lips, she quickly got hold of the bottle and chugged half of it down.
Nothing but extremely sympathetic looks instantly etched over each and every of her friends' faces and as soon as she noticed that, she couldn't help but chug the other half down as well.
Hushed whispers then enveloped the air.
Hushed whispers that were nothing short of therapeutic for Zulekha.
Music to her ears!
Hushed whispers the likes of:
"He broke her!"
"No! He didn't just break her! He broke her to a level beyond infinity!"
"Going just by the number of 'H's in his name, Hisham Hosseini should be hanged! Thrice!"
"Absolutely NOT! Just but thrice would be a literal walk in the park for him!"
"Rather, he should be hung every day of his life or rather every hour, minute or second!"
"A man who is an abuser!"
"A murderer!"
"Don't forget rapist!"
A more than icy silence then prevailed throughout the entire lounge, only for the muzzled whispers to almost immediately pick up once again and not even a second later.
"I still cannot even dare believe that he murdered his own foetus!"
"Yes! Yet, it was just but a consequence of his very own actions!"
"A consequence of a one-time rape!"
"A proof of his atrocity!"
"Hence the more reason for him to do away with it without even a literal brink of conscience."
"No! You got it all wrong! Very very wrong!"
"It was never ever about the rape!"
"Rather, it was all about the PRODUCT of the rape!"
"The product being a girl!"
"He wanted a boy and only a boy!"
"And to think we are in the 21st century!"
"Tell me about it!"
"The solid argument behind it being that the Hosseini's were male dominated!"
"It was and it is to stay that way at any given cost!"
"Even if the cost means DEATH!"
A short term silence once again overtook the lounge as they vigorously nodded their heads trying to convince themselves that; that actually made a lot of way more sense.
However, still not entirely convinced, one of them still had an atom of a brain cell left to actually still question, even if it was just but a tad bit of the much far-fetched story ever.
"It still doesn't quite make sense though or rather something still does not quite sit right."
"What doesn't?!"
"If it really was about keeping it male then what about the most recent Hosseini being a female?"
"Who?"
"Yumnah Saeed's daugh..."
"Don't you even get me started on that wh*re!"
"I still cannot begin to fathom even in the slightest, how she was able to literally skip from one brother to the next barely overnight!"
"One second she is getting ENGAGED to one brother and literally the next she is MARRYING the other!"
"That making her nothing less of a damn pros****!"
"Absolutely disgusting!"
"Way too cheap!"
"Or maybe way too expensive; in literal sense!"
"I wonder what price was quoted for her to exchange grooms!"
"Way too high considering it was in exchange for a BLIND HUSBAND!"
This time round, not only did silence reign the room but also did loud mocking laughter which was once again muffled by a new buzz of whispers...
"Trust me, life isn't a bed of roses for Yumnah Saeed either!"
"Her visits to the gynaecologist and the fertility clinic are way past the uncountable!"
"Trouble in paradise?"
"More like 'Murder' in paradise!"
Just the thought of their much fabricated tittle tattles made their own blood run cold as their mouth ran dry but it wasn't long before one more person with the last piece of working brain, raised their scepticism...
"Sense really doesn't make sense right now!"
"It does!"
"It doesn't!"
"It does!"
"It really doesn't!"
"Fine! Allow me to clear your doubts using nothing but questions!"
"Please! Be my guest!"
"It really is as easy as 1 plus 1. That's only if you are good at simple maths!"
"Oh please! Just go ahead already!"
"Fine! Since, the very beginning of time, which Hosseini was meant to take over as CEO?"
"Of course, Hisham Hosseini!"
"Therefore who needed a male heir the most?"
"Of course, Hisham Hosseini!"
"There you have it!"
"Okay but that doesn't answer even in the very least as to why Yumnah..."
"The only reason Yumnah was even remotely allowed to bear a girl child was only and only because Yasir Hosseini is as useless as the 'g' in the word lasagne. Meaning, he didn't really need an heir for anything because the only thing he can ever pass down to anyone is his BLINDNESS. In all honesty...
"But...
"Well things did take a turn now I guess since Hisham Hosseini is kind of out of question and Yasir is now probably is trying his best to get an heir out of Yumnah!"
"She clearly cannot seem to bear him one!"
"Of course not! The numerous hospital visits explain it all!"
Shaking their heads in nothing but utter disgust they then turned their head towards Zulekha who was enjoying every minute of their smear campaign and one of them quickly said...
"The Hosseinis are a really a shame and a scam in the name of family!"
"We really curse the day Hisham Hosseini even sat his eyes on you!"
Tears stained Zulekha's eyes and she couldn't help but smile sadly when her entire circle rounded up to give her a warm hug but deep down what each one of them really didn't know was the fact that...
ZULEKHA AKRAM WAS THE ONE WHO HAD FULLY SET HER EYES ON HISHAM FIRST!
To be continued...
