"Sasuke, time to get up for school." I could hear my brother trying to wake me up but my body wont allow me to do so. He shakes me a few times before rubbing my head and I still can't find the energy to move. Should I play dead?

"Sasuke?" He called out to me again.

"Hm." I managed to answer.

"Come on get up and get ready for school." He says. "You obviously didn't set your alarm last night."

Alarm, right. Struggling to sit up, I was greeted by my brother's warm smile.

"Good morning Little Brother." He says.

I didn't reply. He smirks ruffling my hair and getting up from my bed. "Your breakfast is ready. I'm heading to work."

Without another word, he exits my room. I streatched and got out of bed and began making it up. After I was finished I removed my sweats and briefs before walking into the bathroom for a much needed shower.

After my shower, I brushed my teeth and headed to the kitchen for my food. I ate at the island counter and grabbed the money Itachi left me for lunch and headed out.

I pressed the unlock button on my car and quickly got in throwing my satchel in the back. Pushing the start button my speakers blared loudly playing Kendrick Lamar's Humble. I personally like the song; hell the album. But the hype makes it annoying. Pulling away from the curb, I drove down the residential street. From my phone I called Naruto. It quickly connected to my car speakers.

"Hello." He grumbled.

"I'm on my way Naruto, please be ready." I tell him. "I don't h-"

"- have time to wait yeah yeah. Got it dude." He yawns cutting me off. "I'm ready I just dozed off a bit. Hey, uh don't get mad okay?"

"What is it Naruto?" I ask him. Eyebrows already furrowed in annoyance.

"Uh, Karin needs a ride. Her car broke down." He says slowly.

Karin, Naruto's cousin has been oogling over me for as long as I could remember. Do I feel the same? No. She'd be much hotter if she just left me alone and stopped trying to hang all on me. It's ridiculous.

I sighed through the phone mentally cursing myself for the decision I just made.

"Whatever." I say hanging up.

I pulled up to Naruto's house in ten minutes flat and honked the horn. Karin exited first of course, followed by Naruto.

"Thank you Sasuke." Karin says getting in the backseat. She batted her false eyelashes. Cringing, I turn my attention to Naruto who has gotten in the passenger seat. He smiled at me.

"Hey dude." He says. "Ready for another day of ducking and dodging?"

Ignoring him I put the car in drive and drove off. I went into my secret compartment of my car and pulled out my weed and some blunt wraps and passed my rolling tray to Naruto. Him already knowing what to do, began breaking down the weed and emptying the tobacco out of the Backwood.

About a month and a half ago I allowed Naruto to hit his first blunt. Then I taught him how to roll them. He's become pretty good and almost close to the pothead I am today. He's my best friend. We do these things together. Once he was finished rolling, he sparked it up taking the first hit. He slumped into the seat.

"Aint nothing like a wake n bake to start the morning." He says blowing out smoke. He took another hit before passing it to me. I bought the blunt to my lips and took a hit before exhaling slowly.

"Can I hit it?" Karin asked. I frowned and Naruto turned fully around in his seat to look at her. His eyes narrowed into into a 😒 face.

"You dont even smoke Karin." He says flatly.

"You dont know what I do in my spare time Naruto." She shoots back.

"And I honestly dont care." He says with a frown. "The answer is no. We dont need you tripping out and blowing our high."

"Yours." I corrected. I didnt care too much about Karin to give her the satisfaction of blowing my high.

"Mine." He says correcting himself. If I was the me I was before my parents died, I would've definitely laughed at that. But considering that I don't know how to laugh anymore. I cant laugh, cry, or be happy. All of that went out the window when my parents died.

Naruto and I continued to smoke in the car when we reached the school. Of course Karin sat there and waited for us. Naruto and I exited the car and began walking into school. Karin slipped her arm around mine.

"Let me go." I tell her trying to remove my arm.

"Sasuke stop being so mean." She whines.

"I wouldn't have to be mean if you knew your place." I reply. "Now let go of me."

With a whimper she slowly let me go and I moved to where Naruto stood between us as we walked. We reached our group of friends and I scanned the area for a particular person. When I didn't see her I continued.

"Hey you two!" Ino was the first to greet us as she stood up and hugged Naruto then me. I wasn't really a hugger, but Ino didn't care. She'd hug you anyway. She definitely invades personal space. Ive known Ino since middle school and shes also what I would call a best friend. She's just a girl. I'm highly defensive over her as if she was my sister. So I'm skeptical about this boyfriend she has. It's been about a year and a half but still. You can never be too sure right?

But because this is Ino, I hugged her back tightly. After letting her go, I sat at the table and slumped over closing my eyes. God, I'm tired.

"Good morning." I could hear a voice and it didnt take long for me to notice that it was Hinata.

"Hey babe!" Naruto's cheery voice sounded over all the others. That's when I decided to get up and take my leave.

"You've got to be kidding me." Ino mumbles. She steps in my path. "Where are you going?"

"Away." I tell her. I try and step around her but she steps in my path again.

"Why do you always leave when Sakura gets here?" She whispers. She folded her arms across her chest. I sighed.

"Because I want to." I tell her. I try and move the opposite way and she stops me again. I roll my eyes. "What?"

"Sasuke you know something." She says narrowing her eyes at me. "What is it?"

"Nothing Ino." I tell her. "Now can I please go mind my business?"

She hesitantly stepped to the side and I began walking. Within minutes Naruto was at my side.

"Look I understand you're avoiding Sakura, but dude at least let me get some lovin from my woman before you start taking off like that." He says. I shrugged my shoulders and turned the corner.

"You know I'm trying to stay away from her for reasons." I tell him. "Stay on your A-game."

"I hate you." He replies flatly.

"Hn." I smirk.

The bell rung signaling that it was the start of a new day at Konoha High.
