"Damon has gone" I tell V as I lay on her bed.

"What you mean left?" She questions, putting down her lip gloss.

I sit up "Hes gone back to his home, he said he had things to deal with and couldn't tell you himself for obvious reasons"

"Are you pissed at me?"

"Yes I am V"

"You know I wasn't trying to take advantage of how Damon felt, I just lost my way a little trying to make Jake realise things."

"Anyway I'm not the one you should explain things to, text Damon and wish him luck for his future. That's the least that can be done." I tell her.

"I will."

I didn't want to pressurize Vivian for the mistake she made and friendship is one side, doing wrong things is another. We always swore that we wouldn't support our wrongdoings in life and this was just one of those moments.

After getting ready, we made our way to Salience Boutique to shop for some dresses for prom, seeing that we only had two more weeks.

With all the chaos going on, time sure did fly and although I was happy it did, I wasn't sure of what I want to do. Cooking has never been my forte so chef is out of the question, I'm a horrible singer so yeah pop star is a big crossout and what else? Government servant? I'm too prideful for that.

I might have to talk to Eugene about continuing at the company because for now that's the only thing on my mind. I like my job now for a fact I don't have much to do and the payroll is big. I may sound greedy but what can be expected for a girl with a debt. Ha! That can be turned into a book, maybe I should write one.

I laugh at my thoughts amidst the silence of the boutique.

Vivian pops her head out "What happened?"

"Nothing, sorry."

"Sorry my friend is weird, don't mind her." She tells the staff standing near me.

I laugh "Shut up and would you come out already, you've been in there for 20minutes."

She doesn't respond.

"V?"

She walks out the changing room with the turquoise dress, with its low neck line and backless back, a dark blue silk ribbon at the waist. It was just beautiful on her. I was amazed.

She smiles "This is it."

"This is definitely it." I say.

"Have you found one yet?"

I sigh "I'm gonna need time, lets come back again. I gotta go."

"Okay, let me check this out."

We head out and I tell Vivian to drop me at the nearest bus stop.

"You sure you don't need me to take you?" She says as I get off.

"No its fine, just go home and be with Matty."

She nods and drives off.

I get on the bus and make my way to KJH holdings, an investment firm owned by Karen. I was finally being let go, the debt, her threats, the fright. I finally felt light making my way there, different like all these times, where I would go there to pled and beg for more time to repay her back. Today I finally felt good after a very long time.

I stood infront of the building, took a deep breath and entered in with my head held high, I finally did this on my own. On my own.

I got to the desk "Hi I'm hear to see Ms. Karen"

"Do you have an appointment?"

"No, I'm Jade Jones."

She looks at me with a judgemental look and then speaks "She's in her office, go right ahead."

Although I didn't want to, I thank her and make my way to Karen's office.

I knock at her door, after a while I hear her and enter in.

She looked at me surpised "What are you doing here?"

I give out a nervous chuckle "Why do you seem surprised?"

"Didn't expect you to come here after everything is already settled. What do you want now?"

"Settled? What is settled?"

She looks at me "Is this a game? I don't have time to waste on you. Get out?"

"No wait, I came to repay the debt amount to you. I have it right here?"

"Darling, I don't care if you and Eugene have fights but the least he can do is tell you such things, you see I can't keep wasting my time. I'm a very busy woman."

I furrow my brows "What do you mean? Tell me what?"

"Eugene has already paid me back your debt amount."

I couldn't say anything after what I heard.

"Now get out." She tells me.

I look at her for a while then walk out the office, I felt shameful. How could he have done that? Despite me telling him that I don't like receiving such help. Why did he go against me. And that look at Karen gave me, clearly states the obvious, that I made my rich boyfriend pay for my debt. I hate it. I hate it. I hate this whole thing. I hate him.

I try to reach him on his cellphone but he doesn't receive nor responds to my text. Dejected, I make my way home. Fighting the urge to hold back tears, I didn't like it and I hated the way I was feeling. Why did he have to go and do that.

I walk up to my house and notice Eugene's car in the driveway, I quickly open the door and enter seeing him, Vivian, Jake and Matty on the couch.

He looks at me and gets up to give me a hug, but I push him away.

"Why did you do that?" I yell

"What are you talking about?" He says

"I just met Karen." I tell him and see his expression change as he realises what I'm talking about.

"Calm down and lets talk. Okay?"

"Talk what? About how you went against my word? And why should I even bother talking? Did you talk before you did it?"

"Babe listen to me"

"No" I cut him off "Get out."

He tries to hold my hand "I know you're pissed but I didn't like seeing you that way"

"See me in what way? Pathetic? That I can't handle my own problems? In a state where I can't repay my own debts?"

He didn't say anything back. Just stayed silent. And that hurt me more.

"Just get out Eugene, Get out."

He takes his jacket from the couch and walks out.

"Hey whats wrong?" Vivian touches my shoulder but I slap her hand away and run up to my room locking myself in.
