"Sister, not that I'm complaining.. but why do we have to wear these dresses?!" Valentina said, folding her arms across her chest. One of the agents was going to be retired after so many years of working with them. Their mother told them that the party was going to be at Springdale, Arkansas in a large Victorian-styled hotel with a big garden, something she knew the girls would like.
The eldest Fraser sister was wearing a lavender mermaid dress that had silver asters on the hem of her dress, and zircons on the bodice with a ruby illusion neckline decorated with rose-shaped diamonds on the neckline as pearls reached to the asters. For jewelry, she chose a golden choker with a single pearl surrounded by in-laid opals and a pair of golden earrings with rubies and garnets hung in her ears. On her feet were a pair of black stilettos that granted her a little more height. Her long blonde hair was put up into a braided bun with a jeweled bun comb. Pinned to her left wrist was a corsage with a red rose and sprigs of small powder blue forget-me-nots.
"Agreed sis.. I'm just glad BeetleJuice can't see me in this, although I pretty sure she wouldn't complain about the color." Agreed Serena as she was wearing a different color of dress and other accessories. She wore a jade green sheath dress with golden roses on the hem of her gown, drop-shaped emeralds on the bodice, heart-shaped peridots going to the skirt and a single amethyst on the neckline which was the same color as her dress. For jewelry, she had chose a silver low-hanging necklace with a single dark blue sapphire and a pair of silver earrings with emeralds and amethysts. On her own feet were a pair of pastel green one-inch heels. Her medium length hair was in a half-bun with the rest of it going to her back. On her hands were a pair of dark purple gloves.
"Perhaps." She said, suddenly feeling her hand being grasped as she spun around to face whoever it was that grabbed her. "Hello, my princess~" crooned Arno as she hissed at him, promptly stomping on his foot. "How many times do we have to tell you to back off?" She spat, yanking her wrist back with a look of distain at him. "So? That will never stop me from wanting to claim my prizes." He said, reaching towards them before two voices seemed to be tossed out towards everyone, aimed at him. "What are you doing with something that doesn't belong to you?!" Shouted a familiar voice as Valentina froze.
Oh shit, Carmen's pissed off now. Thought the woman as the phantom that claimed her soul walked towards her, taking her towards the garden while BeetleJuice dealt with him. Oh, the phantom was furious! How dare he try to touch what belonged to her! She did not blame her angel for letting him touch her smooth and soft fair skin. She hated him before the sweet voice of the woman she fell for broke her out her murderous thoughts. "Carmen? Why did you do that?" She whispered, looking at the white mask that shined in the moonlight.
That night, she wore a black suit with boots, white gloves, and a white mask covering the left side of her face. Her hair which was in a low ponytail was flying free and curly. "I did that when I saw that fool try to touch what belongs only to me." Valentina's cheeks took on a light pink color before the phantom took her hands and began slow dancing. (A/N: Start music and kudos to the creator of this lovely song!) Carmen was feeling so strange ever since that night the two met and locked eyes with each other. When Valentina kissed her that night the robber would broken in, her heart began racing.
"Valentina.. what are you even doing to me? Your making me act this way towards you. I.. I am in love with you, my angel. The only thing I ask of you is that you don't let anyone else rather than me touch your lips. You are mine and will only belong to me.. my tomorrows shall be yours.. if you will have me."
"Oh, Carmen.. I return those feelings, my beautiful phantom of the opera. I was so scared yet I never felt this way about anyone else until that night we met. I kept those feelings hidden until that night you beat up a robber for me and risked your life to protect me.. while I admit that was stupid, that was really brave. I hope.. we will make such beautiful melodies like the one we sang in the opera house in the future."
Carmen was beyond happy and leaned in closer, her lips just an inch away from hers. Then.. she kissed her angel with an intense and love that was leaving sweet Valentina breathless. In that moment, nothing existed. All she knew was from that moment on, she belonged to her phantom of the opera and the Phantom belonged to Valentina. They both pulled away from that kiss that left the woman she was dancing with breathless. "That.. was the most perfect kiss, my phantom." She said, wrapping her arms around her neck. That earned a small chuckle from Carmen as she had her own arms around the smaller woman.
"Of course. Now.. let's go announce that we are together before that fool hits on you again."
"I'm pretty sure he got the message, my love. He was so stubborn and wouldn't leave us alone despite mom's warnings and Julia's scoldings!"
"Is that so? Well, just to make sure he doesn't try to steal you from me, I will be asking ACME to keep an eye on him."
Valentina blushed brightly as she leaned onto her shoulder and closed her eyes, feeling nothing but the soft fabric of her lover's suit and the warm spring breeze blowing gently. She felt so safe and protected in that embrace as Carmen held her possessively. The phantom looked up, seeing Arno and smirked. Nice try, but this beauty belongs to me~ she said with her eyes. She watched as he went away and looked at her jewel. "Your finally all mine, my beautiful angel.. and nobody will ever take you away from me." She murmured.
Bittersweet and strange, finding you can change, learning you were wrong.. the change was obvious since Valentina was allowing the phantom of the dark to hold her like this, she was wrong to let whatever the reason was to not let her fall in love. Carmen was her phantom while Valentina was the beauty.. she took off her mask, revealing a burn mark that was caused many years ago but was still sensitive on her left side of her face. She felt so many melodies being heard in her mind, she decided to hear them, smiling at the sweetness of the notes.
She found her inspiration for all those songs that night. Her angel was the one to thank.. Valentina loved her just as she loved her..
