Love at First Sight?

(Hephaestus POV)

An infinite amount of worrisome thoughts ran through my mind as I walked inside the big volcano.
I have gotten my somewhat revenge on Hera and have been announced as an official god.
Now, what?

I know that I am supposed to keep making weapons on Zeus's order, but is that all my life as a god has to offer?
I sat down looking across the pit of immense fire, then laid my head back onto the hot rock. I am supposed to meet up with Zeus to discuss some things, but thats hours away. And what comes to mind when I don't do anything, Aphrodite of course.
She has been engraved into my thoughts since I attended the summit of the gods. Her beauty and her grace were carved into my memory as if she put them there herself.
I want to see her again. I want her to talk to me with that sweet voice and ravish me with her gorgeous smile. Is it possible for someone with my looks to woo her? Or is it just a dream that will never come true? Either way, I want her to be mine.

I stood up and walked out the core of the volcano, then to my working area to distract myself. These thoughts were so unbecoming of me. I would never in a million years lust after women so badly. Why now?
Promptly, I looked down at the table of tools and began making something from my mind. Sparks of fire and the smell of ashes went through my nose and around my body as I threw pieces of metal together.

"I cannot think of this women in such an inappropriate manner," I said to myself as I severed a chain from its holder. I stopped and looked at my creation with interest. A lustrous shield laid upon the dirty table beside a bright chunk of armor. Armor fit for war.
" Akhilleus..." I spoke the name of Thetis's son and made my way to my way towards Mount Olympus. I knew he was fighting in a war right now and he probably needed new armour.
I'll give it to him later.

(Aphrodite POV)

The evening sun awoke me from my slumber with tears of sadness. Ares was in the underworld, Apollo went back to his Temple, and Hermes was nowhere to be found. I am completely bored. Maybe I could go talk to father, but he was probably with Poseidon and I loath Poseidon.
The way he sneers at me when I know he has a wife of his own, but he is never at home. But, somehow Athena seems smitten with him; the god of the sea.
He is one of the reason's Athena is obsessed with beauty And attention, because he doesn't give her any.
But that's a matter for another time.
Right now, I don't want to see him and I'm bored.
And mother, she is most likely still sulking about Hephaestus' mockery. I do not want to have to hear her complain. The only one I know to be true was Athena, but she was at her temple as well.
I sighed and got dressed all while feeling groggy at the fact I slept all day.
Walking out the door, I could already hear Poseidon's annoying laughter. He was in the foyer, the only place that led to the entrance and I did not want to have to walk past there. Yet, I made my way calmly, down the stairs and into the main room.
Poseidon, of course, was the first one to glare at me with his lustful eyes.
"Aphrodite! You're awake." I stopped and looked at Poseidon. His blue eyes pierced my skin with desire making me shiver with fear. As I know, he is one to go raping other women, but what male god hasn't. Putting all of that aside, I smiled and answered sweetly.
"Don't embarrass me Poseidon, I had a long night." A smirk appeared on his face and I could see that he had became erect.
Knowing my old self, I would have been happy that Poseidon was in this predicament, but now, I was completely disgusted.
Suddenly, Zeus spoke making Poseidon aware of his predicament.
"Where are you headed?"
"To Athena's Temple."
"When will you be back."
"Um, in a couple of days," I said while thinking of how long Ares will be gone.
"Aye, I see. Well, farewell" I smiled once more then left for the front gates, disgusted with Poseidon's stares. I cannot stand men like him; men that only think about sex with no love involved. It is truly awful.

(3rd Person)

"A fool to be, a fool you were, a fool I am, a fool to her. Signed to her."

Hermes sat on a pillar reading off a thin piece of paper.

"See how difficult it can be to decipher people's meanings. Let alone, know who they want the letter to be delivered too."

The messenger God folded the piece of paper and blew it into the air. "I pray, with all my power, that whoever this 'her' is gets the letter." Hermes spoke to himself then noticed a figure walking out of Zeus's palace.

Aphrodite's golden hair blew in the wind as she stepped outside.
Hermes sat with his elbows on the white coloums and his hands on his face. His eyes couldn't leave the beautiful painting in front him.
He was undoubtedly in love with the goddess of beauty and love.
No one knew, not even his closest brothers. All he could do was gaze at her from a distance.

"Mmmm, what's this? A long lost love with no one to hug?"

Hermes jumped up at the voice of Dionysus. He turned around to face the handsome God then Dionysus smirked.

"Don't sneak up behind me."

"Shouldn't you be more attentive? I mean for a messenger God that is."

"You have no place to say anything. And I'm not in love."

"Oh, you couldn't fool me brother, I know a lost love when I see one."

"Shut it."

"Alright then. I'm sorry."

"Anyhow, what did you want?"

"Nothing much, I was just strolling around. Then I noticed you sitting up here and decided talk with you."

"I see."

Dionysus laid on his back looking up at the blue sky.

"Where is she going?"

"I think to Athena's place."

"They became close all of a sudden. Opposites are the best of any kindred spirit's." Dionysus laughed as he spoke.

Hermes contiued to look down at Aphtodite, staining his eyes with her beauty.

"Oh look, it's Hephaestus." Dionysus pointed down at the bulkly god.

"What's he doing here?"

"Zeus probably called for him."

"Haha! Look Hermes, he's frozen stiff at the sight of Aphrodite."

Hermes smiled a little, for he's also felt the same feelings. Being stopped at the

(Hephaestus POV)

...sight of the goddes of beauty...
Her shiny blue eyes found mine and she smiled with endless allure.

"Hephaestus." Her godly voice rang throughout my ears and I was completely taken aback.
I could seriously have sworn I was in love with her at 1st sight.

"What brings you here?"

"Zeus has called for me."

"Oh, father? Well whatever it is, hopefully you do well." She smiled once more.

"I'm sure I will."
"Haha! Confident I see."

"Where are you headed?"

"I was bored, so I'm going to visit Athena."

"Isn't that quite far?"

"The further, the better. I just want to waste time."

"Wasting time leads to earths end."

Both Aphrodite and I looked up at Dionysus and Hermes.

"Wha- you were eavesdropping?!" Aphrodite screamed up at them.

"Haha! Oops looks like we were seen. Lets go!"

"Those cowards." Aphrodite laughed and so did I.

"Well I'll be off."

The beautiful goddess walked away. I stared at her enticing body in awe and thought once more about how I might love her.
Who even knows how these feelings developed? I barely even know her. Is it because of her looks? Or some sort of power?

I was unsure, but knew that If I could have her to myself, I would be the luckiest man in the world.
