Y/N POV
As I knocked on the door I felt weird knocking at a house that I've only been to once. It was weird to me. I don't know why. Then the door opened

"Hello-" Eliza said as she opened the door. She looked at me with concern in her eyes and let me in instantly

"What's wrong Y/N? I heard what happened. Are you alright?" Eliza said with concern

"I-I left my fathers house. I couldn't stay there. He wanted me to move with him to Monticello. I just couldn't. I hate the fact he and Jefferson have slaves. I absolutely hate it." I said started to tear up

"Well I'm the only one home. Philip took his siblings to the park and Alexander is at a Cabinet meeting" Eliza told me, "Do you want any tea? Or maybe some water?"

"I couldn't trouble you. I already have interrupted you with my problems with my father." I said

"You aren't troubling me. You're a great person. I'm glad my son found someone like you." Eliza told me

"Thanks but if my father doesn't give Philip the ability to court me then me and Philip can't be together." I said

Eliza took my hand

"I promise you and Philip will work out. I promise" Eliza told me letting go of my hand

At that moment Philip and his siblings walked in the door

"Mom we gotta get a new-" Philip looked at me and he mouth dropped

"Y/N! Why are you here?!" He said with concern flooding his eyes

"She had to leave her house. Her father..." Eliza said, "Kids, go to your rooms or outside, now!"

"As I was saying her father wanted her to-" Eliza was cut off by the door closing and Alexander coming in the house, obviously still tired

"As I was trying to say, her father wanted her to move in with him and Jefferson. She packed a few things and left." Eliza told Philip and Alexander heard all of this but he still went to his office without caring

"Don't mind him" Eliza told me

"Mom can she stay over?" Philip asked

"Of course. Your father wouldn't notice anyway" Eliza responded to her son

Eliza looked down at the ground

There was a knock at the door. More like someone was trying to break down the door with their fist.

Eliza got up and told me and Philip to go into Angie's room and put my stuff away and make a bed for me. As I was going up the stairs I heard my fathers voice.

"Where's Y/N? She is going to Monticello with me. No matter what." Father said

"Mr. Madison. I assure you, your daughter isn't here and if she was, she would be right here next to me." She told my father

"I think you're lying. I'm searching the house." Father told her

At that moment Alexander come out of his office and started yelling at my father.
